Google has Supercharged Productivity Alongside Gemini: The Entry of Gemini 2.5 Marks the Beginning of a New Era of Efficiency.

Gemini: Everywhere, whether Chrome, Android, or beyond. Live Events An AI that is Enterprise Ready: At the Google I/O 2025 keynote, CEO Sunder Pichai excitedly spoke of the rapid model progress of Gemini since their first-generation Gemini Pro model. Since then, Gemini 2.5 Pro today delivers 10 times the performance of the previous generation. What makes this stand out more is their infrastructure strength enables them to deliver dramatically faster models, even as the model prices climb down further highlights the numbers wherein, this time last year, Google processed 9.7 trillion tokens a month across products and APIs, whilst today, they are processing 50 times more than that number, over 480 trillion. More than 7 million developers today use Gemini, which is five times more than what was garnered last year. The app Gemini now has over 400 million monthly active users, with a significant growth in engagement with the 2.5 series of numbers are a clear indicator of Gemini 2.5's strength, deeming it as one of the most powerful multimodal models ever released by Google. This brand new version enhances performance across the board, possesses faster reasoning, deeper document understanding, and dramatically improved code generation. Google stands proud on its claims that Gemini 2.5 is capable of working through complex workflows that include summarizing multi-document reports and debugging intricate software projects with model's rollout is closely associated with Google Workspace, bringing in AI-driven 'Co-pilot for your digital life' rather than a mere AI-powered assistant, with its capabilities extending to Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Via the 'Help Me Write' and 'Help Me Organize' features driven by Gemini 2.5, users can now curate detailed project briefs, rewrite proposals, extract spreadsheet insights, and much more on the list, making collaborations more efficient than is no longer a mere Workspace upgrade; rather, it now exists in the very core of Android and Chrome OS. It can interpret on-screen content, provide contextual suggestions, and even automate device actions. Whether it's summarizing PDFs or drafting replies on chatting apps, Gemini is readily available to assist at the right moment, for its intelligence is now entangled in the depths of the Android businesses to use AI for internal processes, proprietary data, and domain-specific tasks, Google has also introduced Gemini for Workspace Enterprise and Gemini for Cloud AI. Organizations shall be able to incorporate Gemini into their workflow with optimum-level data privacy and governance controls; this move seemed like an insinuation of a challenge to Microsoft's Copilot in this new-age race of AI-enabled AI grows and develops further into the global workplace, Google's bold push signifies not just a technological advancement but rather a strategic reshaping of how humans and machines shall join hands in the near future.

Google's updated Gemini 2.5 Flash pricing is good news and bad news

TL;DR Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite is rolling out in preview. The stable versions of Gemini 2.5 Flash and Pro are also rolling out. The cost of input for Flash has gone up by $0.15, but the output has been reduced by $1.00. Google introduced Gemini 2.5 earlier this year, with Pro (experimental) being the first model in the series. A couple of months later, the company rolled out a faster model in early access, known as Gemini 2.5 Flash. Now the firm has an update on these two models and is launching an even faster model in preview. It may be hard to keep track of all the different Gemini models at this point, but Google is debuting a third model in the 2.5 line. This model is called Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite and is said to have the lowest latency and cost in the family. According to Google, this model is best for 'high throughput tasks like classification or summarization at scale.' Like Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash, Flash-Lite is described as a reasoning model. This means it's capable of reasoning through its thoughts before responding for better accuracy. Unlike the other two models, Google says 'thinking' is turned off by default on Flash-Lite since cost and speed are the focus. However, the model 'allows for dynamic control of the thinking budget with an API parameter.' Meanwhile, the Mountain View-based firm is now making Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash stable and generally available. Along with going stable, Google says it's updating the pricing for Flash. The cost for input is going up by $0.15, while the output cost has been reduced from $3.50 to $2.50. You can continue using the existing pricing scheme for 2.5 Flash Preview or 2.5 Pro Preview until the depreciation date. For 2.5 Pro Preview, the depreciation date will be June 19, 2025. You'll have until July 15, 2025, before Google shuts down 2.5 Flash Preview. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . Google launches its most cost-efficient and fastest Gemini 2.5 model yet

Google has expanded its family of Gemini 2.5 of hybrid reasoning AI models . The company said that its Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash models are now generally available. Further, it released a preview of the new 2.5 Flash-Lite model which it claims is its most cost-efficient and fastest model yet. "We designed Gemini 2.5 to be a family of hybrid reasoning models that provide amazing performance, while also being at the Pareto Frontier of cost and speed," Google stated in its announcement. General availability of Gemini 2.5 Pro and Gemini 2.5 Flash models The generally available versions of Gemini 2.5 Flash and 2.5 Pro are now ready for production applications, a move Google attributes to valuable developer feedback gathered over recent weeks. Adding to the lineup, Google has introduced a preview of Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite, touted as its most cost-efficient and fastest 2.5 model to date. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it better to shower in the morning or at night? Here's what a microbiologist says CNA Read More Undo "Gemini 2.5 Pro + 2.5 Flash are now stable and generally available. Plus, get a preview of Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite, our fastest + most cost-efficient 2.5 model yet," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a post on X. "Exciting steps as we expand our 2.5 series of hybrid reasoning models that deliver amazing performance at the Pareto frontier of cost and speed," he added. Google says that this new version is designed to excel in high-volume, latency-sensitive tasks like translation and classification, offering lower latency than its predecessors, 2.0 Flash-Lite and 2.0 Flash, across a wide range of prompts. Despite its enhanced efficiency, 2.5 Flash-Lite retains the core capabilities that define the Gemini 2.5 family. These include the ability to adjust computational "thinking" based on budget, integrate with tools such as Google Search and code execution, support multimodal input (processing various data types), and offer a substantial 1-million-token context length, the company says. According to Google, the model also demonstrates "all-around higher quality" than 2.0 Flash-Lite across benchmarks in coding, math, science, reasoning, and multimodal tasks. Developers can access the preview of Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite through Google AI Studio and Vertex AI, alongside the newly stable versions of 2.5 Flash and Pro. Both 2.5 Flash and Pro are also now accessible directly within the Gemini app. Furthermore, custom versions of 2.5 Flash-Lite and Flash have been integrated into Google Search.
