Samsung UK is running a promotion dubbed 'Shine Bright' (ends June 24), which offers cashback on multiple Galaxy devices – from phones to the Ring – and even some freebies. Check out details on the promotion here (click View Terms & Conditions to see a PDF with all the cashback amounts). The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy A56 are both £500 – getting either will net you a free Galaxy Watch7 and £100 cashback from Samsung. The A56 has more base storage – unfortunately, the 256GB S24 FE doesn't get a discount (it still gets £100 cashback, though). Speaking of the Samsung Galaxy Watch7, it and the Galaxy Watch Ultra are available with small discounts plus cashback. If you want to change form factors, the Samsung Galaxy Ring has £75 off at checkout plus an extra £10 off and you get £75 cashback. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra comes with a free Ultra Slim Keyboard Cover for a laptop-like experience – the large 14.6' 120Hz OLED display makes the Tab S10 Ultra closer to a laptop than most tablets can get. If you are a Prime Student subscriber, you can knock £100 off the price. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S9 (the latest 11' flagship slate from Samsung) both fetch £200 cashback. Prime Student Members can get a discount of £100 and £50, respectively. We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

The Galaxy Store and all of Samsung's native apps, like Health and Galaxy Wearables, require an account to log in. This can be tied to a Google Account, which will not be affected by the shut down. However, they are often separate. If you haven't signed into your Samsung account in the past two years, the phone maker with deem it inactive. The company will delete inactive accounts on 31 July. For people who use their Samsung devices regularly, this shouldn't be a worry. It is difficult to operate a Samsung device without logging into your account. Samsung schedules more Galaxy devices for One UI 7 updates

Samsung's confusing One UI 7 rollout is still happening, so if you're using a Galaxy phone as your daily driver and haven't received the update, chances are you're have to wait until next month. The South Korean company issued a One UI 7 roadmap back in April and promised to upgrade all eligible Galaxy phones and tablets by the end of June. Even though the rollout hit a snag due to some critical issues, it only took Samsung a few days to resume the delivery of the update, so the schedule wasn't affected at all. We've already reported about numerous Galaxy devices that received the One UI 7 update, but the truth is not everyone is getting the update at the same time. Many Samsung fans with new phones are still waiting for the update, while others with older models already enjoy the benefits of One UI 7 . It's strange and confusing at the same time that Samsung released recently another schedule for more Galaxy devices. Some of these phones and tablets mentioned in the document discovered by Samsung leaker Tarun Vats have already received the update in South Korea, and possibly other territories, but let's not forget that not everyone might have got it. One other thing it's worth highlighting, and that's the fact that the large majority of the Galaxy devices listed will receive the update in June. Samsung Galaxy A55 – June Samsung Galaxy A54 – June Samsung Galaxy A53 – June Samsung Galaxy A35 – June Samsung Galaxy A34 – June Samsung Galaxy A33 – June Samsung Galaxy A25 – June Samsung Galaxy A16 – June Samsung Galaxy A15 – June Samsung Galaxy A14 – June Samsung Galaxy A05s – June Samsung Galaxy M53 – June Samsung Galaxy M33 – June Samsung Galaxy XCover7 – June Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro – June Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) – June Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 – June Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro – June Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ – June Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 – July Of all the devices above, at least five received the update recently: Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A25, Galaxy Tab Active 5, and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). However, as explained in our report, these updates are usually starting in South Korea and only later make the jump to other territories. Samsung Germany's roadmap seems a bit more realistic, so if your Galaxy device is on the list and you haven't yet upgraded your phone to One UI 7 , you won't have to wait too long now.

Here's an early look at how One UI 8 is revamping Auracast for easier broadcasts

Robert Triggs / Android Authority TL;DR Samsung is updating the Auracast settings page on Galaxy devices in One UI 8. The redesigned settings page, spotted in a leaked firmware build, features visual and usability improvements. This design update could help familiarize users with the feature and make sharing audio easier with a QR code. Samsung Galaxy devices with Bluetooth LE Audio support have a handy feature called Auracast, which lets you broadcast audio to multiple devices with ease. However, not many Galaxy users are familiar with this feature, as it's buried deep within Bluetooth settings. To address this, Samsung is updating the Auracast settings page in One UI 8 with some visual and usability improvements. SammyGuru has spotted the updated Auracast settings page in a leaked build of One UI 8 and shared the following screenshots. It features a new banner highlighting what the feature does with an illustration and has a more prominent 'Start broadcast' button that follows the new One UI 8 design language. One UI 7 Auracast settings One UI 8 Auracast settings One UI 8's Aurcast settings page also has a more obvious visual indicator for when you're actively broadcasting, a slick new animation, and a large button to stop the broadcast. In addition, Samsung is adding an easier way to help others connect to your broadcast by scanning a QR code. One UI 8 Auracast settings One UI 8 Auracast QR Code The QR code button appears on top of the 'Stop broadcast' button, and opens a new page with a QR code that other users can scan to join a broadcast without entering the password. These changes should familiarize more Galaxy users with the Auracast feature and make it easier to start and join broadcasts. Note that the updated design may not be final since this new Auracast settings page was discovered in a leaked One UI 8 build. Samsung might make further changes before One UI 8 hits the stable channel. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . Android 16 is coming to your Samsung phones 'this summer'

Joe Maring / Android Authority TL;DR Google just confirmed that Android 16 is coming to Samsung devices this summer. A leaked One UI 8 build based on Android 16 is already doing the rounds. Samsung is expected to open the One UI 8 beta program for select devices later this month. We all saw it coming, but now it's official: Android 16 is coming to Galaxy devices this summer. A leaked build of One UI 8 has already been making the rounds, and recent tips suggested that the first beta could arrive as early as the end of this month. Now, Google has confirmed it. During The Android Show — a prelude to Google I/O — the company announced that Android 16 will hit stable status next month, with rollouts for Samsung and other brands starting shortly after. So what does that mean? For starters, the One UI 8 beta program is likely to be a short one. We're also hearing it may be fairly limited, with only a handful of Galaxy devices getting in on the action. The upside? Unlike the messed-up One UI 7 rollout based on Android 15, Galaxy users might not have to wait long to get their hands on Android 16. Naturally, Samsung will kick things off with its latest flagships. Expect the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 to be among the first in line for both the beta and the eventual stable release. Don't expect a flood of new features this time around. One UI 7 has already delivered most of the major updates. What we are looking forward to is the integration of Google's new Material 3 Expressive design, though that's something we'll likely see later in the year.
