A New Wonder Woman is in Development and Andor's Adria Arjona is at the Top of the Fancasts

Gal Gadot may have appeared in The Flash , but just like with Superman, it does look like DC is ready to reboot Wonder Woman as well. In a recent talk with Entertainment Weekly, DCU co-head James Gunn has confirmed that a new Wonder Woman movie 'is being written right now'. We don't have much details, but fans are already calling for a new WW to take Gadot's place. Interestingly enough, one top choice that seems to be championed online is that of Adria Arjona — (@BespinBulletin) June 10, 2025 My choice would be Adria Arjona as Wonder Woman — ໊ (@te_Neil_et) June 10, 2025 Even before the reboot announcement, Arjona has been a fancast that's been going around online. She was particularly popular thanks to the success of Disney+'s Andor where she plays the part of Bix. Of course, there are still other actresses that have been getting fancast online besides Arjona. One other star who may have a good chance is Ana de Armas who recently showed off her action chops in Ballerina . Some have also been pitching May Calamawy from the Moon Knight series. Personally, I was a fan of the Gadot casting for BvS , and Gadot really did bring a unique flavor to her Wonder Woman which really shone in the solo movie. It's just a shame that the sequel wasn't able to capture audiences like expected. I would personally love it if Gadot was able to make a third film, but seeing as how there's a dedicated bash network for her online, maybe DC may want to cast someone else. No release date has been set for the Wonder Woman reboot.

A new Wonder Woman movie is "being written right now," DC Studios boss James Gunn confirms, but no one has been cast yet

It's official: there's a new Wonder Woman movie in the works for James Gunn and Peter Safran's burgeoning DC Studios Universe, and it's looking a lot like the role will be completely recast. "We're working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's being written right now," Gunn tells Entertainment Weekly, while clarifying that "Wonder Woman is a separate thing" from the currently in-development Paradise Lost streaming series about the history of the Amazon island of Themiscyra. Gunn also confirmed to EW that no one has yet been cast as Wonder Woman, indicating that previous WW actor Gal Gadot is well and truly out. That's not a huge surprise, given that Patty Jenkins, director of the first two Wonder Woman films, previously confirmed that she's not moving forward with Wonder Woman 3. Gunn has been the leading creative voice in building the new DCU, having announced a whole slate of projects under the banner 'Gods and Monsters,' though many of the projects initially named for the slate have shifted in the time since. Now, Gunn is reiterating comments made by Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav indicating that the four main pillars of the new DC Universe will be Superman, Batman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman. "I think that's accurate, actually," Gunn confirms. "I think that he got that from something I said. I wouldn't say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us. Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we're dealing with the other two." Indeed, Gunn's Superman film is just weeks away from release, with Supergirl currently in production for 2026. Of all four characters, Batman seems to be the most embattled thanks to the uncertain status of The Batman 2, which exists outside the DCU, and a noticeable lack of updates on any kind of project tied to the new continuity. James Gunn's Superman hits theaters on July 11. For more, check out our list of all the upcoming DC movies and shows.

Snow White OTT release: When and where to watch Rachel Zegler's magical tale online

Get ready to experience the magic of Disney's live-action Snow White from the comfort of your home. According to Variety, the remake will begin streaming on Disney+ from 11 June. Starring West Side Story breakout Rachel Zegler in the titular role, Snow White is the latest classic to receive a 21st-century makeover. Inspired by the 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the story follows the young princess as she escapes her wicked stepmother—played by Gal Gadot—and finds refuge with a group of seven dwarfs in an enchanted forest. On Amazon, the film is priced at $29.99 to buy and $24.99 to rent. A wider home release, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions, is scheduled for 24 June. The home entertainment edition will feature special content such as a sing-along version, bloopers, deleted scenes, and behind-the-scenes featurettes. Disney is also set to release a 2-Movie Collection pairing the new film with the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This bundle will be available in various formats and resolutions. Rachel Zegler headlines the cast, joined by Gal Gadot, who portrays a darker, more layered version of the Evil Queen. The seven dwarfs are brought to life by a diverse voice cast, including Andrew Barth Feldman, Tituss Burgess, Martin Klebba, and Jeremy Swift. While retaining beloved songs from the original, the new film also introduces original compositions that support its updated storyline. The screenplay, written by Erin Cressida Wilson, blends elements from the Brothers Grimm tale and Disney's legacy, striking a balance between fantasy and emotional depth. At present, Disney has not confirmed a streaming release date for Snow White on Disney+, as reported by Decider. Typically, Disney films appear on the platform between four to six months after their theatrical release. A recent example is Mufasa: The Lion King, which became available on Disney+ about three months after its digital debut. If Snow White follows a similar pattern, it could land on Disney+ by late June 2025. However, until an official announcement is made, fans will need to purchase or rent the digital version—or revisit the original 1937 film, which remains available on Disney+.
