LRS Deadline Extended Till June 30 with 25% Rebate, Says District Collector.
Gadwal: Taking into consideration public appeals, the Telangana State Government has extended the deadline for regularizing unauthorized layouts under the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) with a 25% rebate on fees until June 30, 2025, according to a statement issued by District Collector B.M. Santhosh on Friday. The District Collector urged the 19,485 applicants in the district who have not yet paid their LRS fees to take advantage of this extended opportunity. He further advised that if any plot owners are facing issues related to LRS payments, they may directly approach their respective municipal offices for resolution. For plot owners in gram panchayat areas, any issues regarding fee payments can be addressed by contacting either the village panchayat secretary or visiting the District Panchayat Officer's office. Applicants may also directly check the status of their applications and pay the LRS fees online through the official portal: 👉 The Collector clarified that for those who complete their payment, the applications will be verified through L1, L2, and L3 logins, and proceedings will be issued immediately after successful verification. He requested all applicants to cooperate with the authorities in this process. Finally, the Collector appealed to all plot owners to make full use of this final opportunity to regularize their properties.

Veena Chari Awarded Ph.D. in Physics from Osmania University
Gadwal: V. Veena Chari has been awarded a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Physics from Osmania University. He completed his research under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. N. V. Prasad. The confirmation of his Ph.D. award was officially announced by the Examination Branch of Osmania University. Hailing from Aiza town in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Veena Chari had earlier secured All India Rank 169 in the CSIR-NET exam in 2017 and was selected for the prestigious Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He then enrolled in the Ph.D. program at the Department of Physics, Osmania University. His research was titled "Electrical and Magnetic Studies on Aurivillius Phase Multiferroic Compounds." Parts of his research were conducted in collaboration with Prof. Srinivasan Gopalan from Oakland University, USA, and with support from DRML, DRDO, Hyderabad. He has published five research papers in various reputed international journals. On May 26, he officially submitted her Ph.D. thesis to Osmania University. Currently, he is working as a Junior Lecturer in Physics at Government Junior College, Manopad. On this occasion, the college Principal K. Padmavati and faculty members K. Venkatakrishna Reddy, B. Srinivasulu, B. Laxman Rao, K. Mahendranath Goud, Ch. Krishna, Swapna, Fouzia, Feroz, Shanawaz, Satish Reddy, and Balakrishna congratulated her on his academic achievement.

Blood Donation Camp Organized on the Occasion of World Blood Donor Day in Dharur Mandal
Gadwal: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized at the Rythu Vedika in Dharur Mandal, with the active involvement of local health and administrative officials. The event was graced by Program Officer Dr. G. Raju, who emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about the science behind blood compatibility, stressing that understanding blood groups is crucial for safe transfusions. 'Blood is classified into A, B, AB, and O groups based on the antigens present on red blood cells. If A antigen is present, it is Group A; if B antigen is present, it is Group B; if both are present, it's AB; and if neither is present, it is considered Group O,' he explained. Dr. Vineema, from the District Government Hospital Blood Center, also attended the camp with her team. She explained the significance of the Rh factor, stating, 'If red blood cells carry the Rh factor, the blood group is considered Rh-positive; if not, it's Rh-negative.' Quoting data from the World Population Review website, Dr. Vineema shared the distribution of blood groups in India: A Positive: 21.8% A Negative: 1.36% B Positive: 32.1% B Negative: 2% AB Positive: 7.7% AB Negative: 0.48% O Positive: 32.53% O Negative: 2% She also highlighted the presence of two extremely rare blood groups — the Bombay Blood Group and the Golden Blood Group, explaining their significance and the challenges associated with their identification and availability. Gadwal: Important Announcement for the People of Aiza Town A Bhoobharati Revenue Grievance Redressal Camp will be conducted on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Aiza village. Farmers of the village are urged to make the most of this opportunity. This initiative is part of the Bhoobharati scheme, recently launched by the Government of Telangana to address land-related issues across the state. As part of the program, a one-day revenue grievance camp is being organized in Aiza village. Health check-up camp launched in civic office
Gadwal: As part of 100-Day Action Plan, a health check-up camp was organised at the Aija Municipal Office on Friday. This initiative was spearheaded by Municipal Commissioner CH Saidulu, in coordination with Medical Officer Dr Kiran Kumar. Commissioner Saidulu emphasized that the State government is implementing the 100-Day Plan with a strong focus on welfare and health across departments. He announced that every Friday, a health camp will be conducted within the municipal office premises, exclusively for sanitation workers, water supply staff, electrical department employees, revenue staff, and other municipal officers. The camp includes basic health screenings such as blood pressure (BP) and blood sugar (diabetes) tests. The Commissioner also mentioned that those already diagnosed with conditions such as hypertension or diabetes will be provided with necessary medications, and if required, will be referred to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) for further lab testing and consultation. The event witnessed active participation from key personnel, including: Lakshanna, Senior Municipal Assistant.
