Princess Beatrice Proves Pink Gingham Is in This Summer at Royal Ascot
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were all smiles on the first day of Royal Ascot, one of the liveliest events of the royal family's summer calendar each year. It's also one of the best for summer fashion, from fabulous frocks to chic hats to suave suits. The princess did not disappoint, proving once again that gingham is always a solid choice for summer in a matching top and skirt set by Beulah London. There are only a few units left of the Arabella pink and white tweed skirt and the Gabriella top in the same print. However, there are more options of her outfit in other prints, such as the Arabella pink and navy polka dot skirt or navy rope skirt. (But if your heart is set on gingham, scroll to the bottom of this post for some similar options. We've got you covered.) Edo, meanwhile, went for a traditional English menswear look with a top hat and two-piece morning suit. Princess Beatrice was most recently seen at the Chelsea Flower Show, alongside her sister, Princess Eugenie. The sisters coordinated a floral look for the event, embracing it in sisterly style. Eugenie also attended a Buckingham Palace garden party in May alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, while Beatrice stepped out with King Charles and Queen Camilla at an event raising money for the Elephant Family, an organization established by Queen Camilla's late brother, Mark Shand. Rumoured Love Island bombshell caught drink-driving three times over limit
Gabriella had tried to navigate her Audi through the scene of a crash which was being blocked off by police while she was more than three times the legal drink drive limit Rumoured Love Island bombshell Gabriella Bardsley has admitted drink-driving after she was caught more than three times over the limit. The 23-year-old daughter of ex-Sunderland defender Phil Bardsley and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley, was pulled over in her Audi A3 last month. Bardsley, who was tipped to appear on the latest instalment of hit reality TV show Love Island, had tried to drive through a police blockade at the scene of a crash in Wilmslow, Cheshire, a court heard. When officers approached her car she was visibly intoxicated, 'slurring her words' and 'struggling' to stand on her feet, Charlie Hayward, prosecuting, told South Cheshire Magistrates' Court. After refusing a road-side breath test, Bardsley was taken to a nearby police station and found to have 122 micrograms (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - more than three times over the legal limit of 35mcg per 100ml. Wearing a black jacket and white pants, she pleaded guilty to one charge drink-driving Her lawyer Gary Hughes told the court that until now she was of 'good character'. He asked for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by a female probation officer due to 'matters that are sensitive to the defendant'. 'These are issues that can be ventilated at sentencing,' he said, adding that he hoped the author of the report would have a community order at the 'forefront of their mind' when recommending a sentence. Magistrates adjourned the case until Bardsley's sentencing on July 14. But the glamorous brunette sobbed and had to be comforted by her dad as she was slapped with an interim driving ban. The former footballer also tangled with a waiting journalist as he walked with his daughter from the building. Bardsley could face an unlimited fine and/or disqualification from driving following her guilty plea. The influencer was rumoured to be a new Love Island contestant with bosses keen to introduce her as a bombshell on the series which started this week. Her mum Tanya Bardsley revealed in April that her daughter had turned down the show multiple times in the past. 'Gabriella's already said no to Love Island and we do need to get her a boyfriend. Gabriella just lives in fairy land anyway. So it's just another nice thing, you know, a little fairy land', Tanya told Closer Magazine. But her brush with the law may spark the end of the road for her Love Island hopes, after bosses axed fellow hopeful Kyle Ashman following his arrest on suspicion of a machete attack in February.

Crewe Magistrates' Court was told how she approached the scene of a road traffic collision in Wilmslow and 'attempted to drive through the police blockade'. Charlie Hayward, prosecuting, said when officers approached her she was visibly intoxicated and 'slurring her words' and 'struggling' to stand on her feet. She refused a road-side breath test and was taken to a nearby police station and was found to have 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - the UK legal limit being only 35 micrograms. The influencer, who stood in the dock in a black jacket and white pants, pleaded guilty when the charge of drink-driving was put to her. Her lawyer Gary Hughes told the court that she was of 'hitherto good character'. But they handed her an interim driving ban and she sobbed as she left court comforted by her former Sunderland defender father. Gabriella could face an unlimited fine and/or disqualification from driving when she's sentenced on July 14. Her brush with the law may spark the end of the road for her Love Island hopes. She was rumoured to be taking part in this year's reality show and had talks about joining the villa. It came after mum Tanya revealed she'd turned down producers multiple times in the past, adding: 'We do need to get her a boyfriend. Gabriella just lives in fairy land anyway.' Bosses have already been forced to boot out fellow hopeful Kyle Ashman after The Sun revealed his arrest for an alleged machete attack in February. 11 Gabriella was caught by cops slurring her words Credit: Instagram 11 She was found to have have 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath Credit: Instagram 11 Gabriella had attempted to drive through a police blockade Credit: Instagram The 23-year-old was quizzed after masked thugs stormed a wake in Stafford and hacked at a dad with a blade. Ashman was one of two quizzed but released with no further action. Sources said the channel was unaware of the incident and he was not flagged as part of contestant checks. The victim, 38, nearly lost his arm and had to be rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. Kyle said: 'I fully co-operated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. 'I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.' We also revealed Dejon Noel-Williams became the second Islander to face a police probe, after he was accused of stealing a phone on a night out. The semi-pro footballer, 26, who is appearing in the new series, was interviewed after a woman's mobile was taken in London. He was quizzed by cops alongside Kettering FC footballer Harlain Mbayo, who was ordered to carry out a community resolution, which can involve an apology or compensation. 11 Gabriella's dad Phil is a former footballer who played for Sunderland Credit: Action Images - Reuters 11 Mum Tanya appeared on Real Housewives of Cheshire Credit: Getty The dispute was sparked over payment for food and an Uber taxi ride. Personal trainer Dejon told The Sun: 'I was never arrested. 'I voluntarily spoke to the police to clarify the truth about what happened in this incident, with no further action taken. 'To stress, my intentions here were entirely honourable and it is very upsetting to read claims that suggest otherwise.' ITV added: 'We speak to our Islanders in advance of the show in addition to rigorous background screening, including DBS checks.' Gabriella appears on ITVX series The Bardsley Bunch alongside her famous parents and younger brothers Rocco, Renz and Ralphi. Dad Phil began his career at Man Utd before joining Sunderland in 2008.
