Two Rajgarh youths arrested, 75 stolen phones recovered
Ujjain: Two youths from Rajgarh were arrested and 75 stolen mobile phones, valued at Rs 7 lakh, were recovered from them. A businessman from Indore, the main suspect in the mobile theft case, is currently on the run.
Jiwajiganj TI Vivek Kanodia said that efforts are underway to find leads in mobile theft cases using technical evidence. Based on the facts that emerged in this case, Ratnesh Tanwar, 20, resident of Rajgarh, was taken into custody. During interrogation, some stolen mobile phones were recovered from him, and it was revealed that he acquired the phones from Irshad Khan Mansuri, who operates Fukran Telecom in Rajgarh.
The police team located and detained Irshad, who confessed to purchasing the mobile phones from Jitendra Vaswani, a businessman from Indore's Dollar Market. The police recovered 75 stolen mobiles from the two youths from Rajgarh and conducted a search in Indore, but by then Vaswani had fled. A search for him is underway.
Kanodia said that the searches were conducted at Jitendra's known locations, but he was not found. Some time ago, the Indore Crime Branch also searched his shop and recovered several stolen mobiles from his employee, during which times too Jitendra went absconding.
