Chihuahua Melts Hearts As Owner Shows Where He Chooses To Sleep
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A tiny chihuahua catching some rest beneath their newborn human sibling has captured hearts across the internet. Rebecca Finch (@hazelshouse_), from Birmingham, England, shared a video on TikTok of her baby, Theodore, peacefully asleep in his crib—with one of the family's chihuahuas, Bambi, snuggled up directly underneath. The heartwarming clip, which has received 243,800 views and 11,100 likes, shows the duo in a bunk bed-style setup, with the camera panning from Theodore down to Bambi nestled below. "Since we bought baby Theodore home the cat and the chihuahua have just adored him. He had to spend some time on the neonatal unit at Birmingham Women's Hospital and he came out just in time for Christmas. The first photo is the night he came home! The pets are very much part of the family and they love my older daughter Hazel too," Finch told Newsweek. Alongside Bambi, the family also has another chihuahua named Tinks—who also enjoys snoozing under the crib—and a cat called Minnie. The Dogs Trust, a UK-based animal welfare charity, offers guidance for families introducing a new baby into a household with dogs. According to their advice, early planning and gradual introductions are key: "Allow your dog to explore baby items in advance and ensure they continue to get positive attention, so they associate the baby with good experiences." Ensuring a calm environment and creating safe spaces for both baby and pets can help foster harmonious relationships. "Our Jack Russell always sleeps under the crib," said one user. "That's too cute. Chihuahuas are the best dogs," added another viewer. "My Frenchie does this," said Jessica. "That is 100% The reason for the basket and when the baby out grows the crib the dog gets to sleep in that part( my dog slept in one but he was 15kg, so it only lasted a few years and we upgraded to a giant footstool for him)," commented Katherine. "Isn't this what they were designed for. Super cute," another user chimed in. "Aww two beautiful adorable sleeping babies together," said another viewer. Westminster Christian's Guso is the Miami-Dade Beach Volleyball Coach of the Year
At schools with such a high standard like Westminster Christian has in girls' volleyball, it's hard to live up to expectations. The Warriors continually do or get really close. On the heels of a state championship season for the girls' indoor team in the fall, Westminster Christian's beach volleyball team put together an unbeaten march to the state championship match in Tallahassee in Class 1A this past May. Unfortunately for the Warriors, it ended with a loss to Tampa Berkeley Prep. But it was another example of the consistency that's made Westminster Christian one of the best programs in the sport in the state year after year. Sylvia Guso has been a part of that tradition as both a player and coach. Guso, a former University of Miami standout, has guided the Warriors to at least the state quarterfinals each season since the sport was sanctioned by the FHSAA in 2022. This season, Guso is one again the Miami Herald's Beach Volleyball Coach of the Year for Miami-Dade County. Guso took an experienced and talented team, which was led at the top by Missouri commit Zoey Matias and Georgia commit Gigi Artiles, to the top ranking in the state. Along the way, the team bonded, often saying words of encouragement such as 'together' or 'connected.' 'The whole idea is that we're playing for something bigger than just ourselves,' Guso said at the state tournament. Matias, who is the Miami Herald's Beach Volleyball Co-Player of the Year along with Artiles, graduated as did Frenchie Pazmino, who was part of the Warriors' No. 5 pair. But Westminster returns the rest of its squad led by Artiles with the hopes of securing the school's first FHSAA state title next season.

Snoop Dogg Says Goodbye To His Longtime Companion In Emotional Post
is saying goodbye to one of his closest companions. The 53-year-old rap legend revealed on Thursday that his cherished French Bulldog, Juelz, has passed away after spending nearly 11 years by his side. Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, posting a touching slideshow of photos and videos featuring the tiny pup over the years. "Miss my dogg @juelzbroadus," he captioned the tribute, which instantly had fans flooding the comments with condolences. Juelz wasn't just a pet. He was family. The adorable Frenchie was a birthday gift from fellow rapper and close friend back in 2014, when Snoop turned 43. Their bond quickly became unbreakable, with Juelz joining Snoop's pack of pets and becoming a perfect complement to his other French Bulldog, Frank. In a follow-up post, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker gave thanks to Wiz, writing, "Rip @juelzbroadus [crying emoji] thank wiz for giving him to me [red rose emoji] [dove emoji]." Fans quickly flooded Snoop's post with messages of love and support, many of them sharing their own experiences with the deep pain of losing a beloved pet. "My guy, losing a dog is worse than losing a person… I said it," one of Snoop Dogg's followers wrote, summing up the emotional weight felt by many. Another added, "I have 3 Frenchies and I dread the day God wants them home. I'm so sorry for your loss." The heartbreak was especially real for fellow Frenchie owners, with one fan commenting, "As a Frenchie mum, my heart is breaking for you," while another shared, "Losing our fur kids is losing a family member." The outpouring of compassion was a testament to just how loved Juelz was, not only by Snoop's inner circle but by fans across the globe who had grown to adore the tiny pup over the years. Over the years, Juelz earned his own fanbase, even starring on his own Instagram account where Snoop shared countless snaps of the stylish pup's day-to-day antics. Though the posts slowed in recent years, the last one appearing in June 2021, Juelz remained a beloved member of the Broadus household. Juelz is by far the only animal Snoop has had. In addition to Juelz and Frank, Snoop Dogg also owned pit bulls Lil Snoop and Mamba, as well as Siamese cats named Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra. But Juelz may have been his most well-known furry friend, thanks to his public presence and personality. Fans may recall the scare back in January 2022 when Frank, Snoop's other Frenchie, went missing. The rapper launched a full-blown social media campaign to find him, posting flyers and asking for help. Thankfully, a kind couple in Los Angeles located Frank and helped reunite him with his family just days later. "I want to thank y'all for returning the dog back to us. We appreciate that. Frank made his way back home," Snoop said in an Instagram video at the time. "We appreciate all the love and support we got on Instagram to get the dog back. And to the lovely couple that brought the dog back, I've got some gifts for y'all for looking out." Snoop Dogg's love for animals has always been front and center, and it extends far beyond his own pets. In fact, the rap legend has proudly worn the title of Coach Snoop at Puppy Bowl XVIII, where he teamed up with longtime friend to co-host the beloved annual event. Snoop took the reins as coach of Team Fluff, while Martha led Team Ruff, with both stars championing adoptable pups from shelters across the country. Now, as Snoop Dogg grieves the loss of Juelz, he's once again leaning on his fans and followers for support, and honoring a dog who brought nearly a decade of love, laughs, and loyalty. Rest in peace, Juelz.
