Formula E 2025-26 Race Calendar Announced; New Races In Madrid, Miami
Motorsport body FIA has announced the first provisional calendar for the 2025-26 season of the Formula E World Championship. The season will mark 18 races across 12 global cities, highlights include new races in Madrid and Miami's International Autodrome for the first time. The 12th season begins on December 6, 2025, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before the championship returns to Mexico City in January. Formula E then makes its first race appearance at the Miami International Autodrome on 31 January. February sees a nighttime double-header under the lights in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, while Madrid debuts on the calendar in March at the historic Circuito de Madrid-Jarama. It will be the first time Formula E will be held in the Spanish capital - and the first World Championship motorsport event held in the city in 37 years, since 1989. Returning venues of the all-electric series include Berlin, Tokyo, and Shanghai, each hosting double-header race weekends, while Monaco continues its role as the jewel in the crown of motorsport, hosting back-to-back races on the iconic street circuit, only the second time it has hosted World Championship races on consecutive days after it debuted earlier in May this year. The season concludes once more in London, with a climactic double-header at the Excel on 15-16 August 2026 that will round out the end of the GEN3 Evo era. Two further locations to complete the calendar are awaiting public confirmation, as end-stage negotiations are ongoing with local authorities. Jeff Dodds, CEO, Formula E, said, "Our debut in Madrid and increase in total races demonstrates our mission and intent to continually grow the series in key markets while racing at Miami's International Autodrome takes our US presence to another level at a world-class facility. As we continue to see year-on-year growth of our global fanbase and TV audiences, this calendar is certain to deliver even more exciting racing from our world-class drivers and teams for our fans to get behind."

He won big at the Jakarta double-header two years ago by clinching pole position in both races and winning one of them. He has now shared his excitement for the Round 12 race of the Formula E World Championship, as he aims to repeat his success at the Ancol Beach Circuit this year as well. Maximilian Gunther is all set to race in Jakarta Maximilian Gunther took to his Instagram on Monday to share a picture of himself in his DS Penske outfit and helmet. He wrote, 'Jakarta up next,' along with a fist emoji. His girlfriend Anaju Dorigon reacted to his post, saying, 'Can't wait,' and added a red heart emoticon. His fans also wished him luck for the upcoming race. A fan wrote, 'Congratulations on your race in Shanghai and good luck in Jakarta, Max. Selamat datang di jakarta.' Another cheered for him, 'Go maxim gooo.' Many called him the 'king of Jakarta' in the comments section. Sharing his excitement for Jakarta, Gunther has said, 'I'm really excited to return to Jakarta. This circuit holds very special memories for me, especially after the success here two years ago, with two pole positions and a race win. Racing in Indonesia is always a fantastic experience — the track is great, and the intense heat adds an extra challenge for us to manage. We're arriving with good momentum and aim to deliver another strong weekend. I'm looking forward to racing in front of the passionate Indonesian fans, who always give us such an incredible welcome.' Maximilian Gunther's performance so far Maximilian Gunther has been having a good Formula E season this year. He is currently in sixth position in the 2025 Formula E Driver Standings. ACB summons KTR in Formula E case, he says will appear after his trip abroad
The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Monday issued a fresh notice to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao, asking him to appear before the agency in the ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities in hosting 2023 Hyderabad ePrix as part of the 2022-23 Formula E World Championship. While Rao, known as KTR, has been asked to appear for questioning on May 28, the BRS leader conveyed his pre-planned travel commitments to the UK and US, and said he would not be able to do so. He said he would join once he was back in the city. 'As a law abiding citizen, will definitely cooperate with the agencies even though the case is nothing but pure political harassment,' the former minister wrote on his social media handle. Condemning the notice to KTR, his sister and party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha took to her social media handle and wrote: 'I strongly condemn the malicious issuance of notices to @KTRBRS by Revanth Reddy's government, as a conspiracy to cover up their failures and divert attention from public issues. It is clear that the ACB notices have been issued as part of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's cunning political game'. 'The continuous issuance of notices to our party leaders clearly reveals a political ulterior motive behind it. KCR's soldiers have a history of enduring and standing firm, no matter how many difficulties anyone tries to create,' she added. Former minister T Harish Rao, a cousin of KTR, also responded. 'Mr @revanth_anumula Vendetta politics is a clear sign of insecurity. Fabricated cases won't stand in court or win public trust. We stand with KTR. Truth will prevail. Satyameva Jayate!' During the BRS government, KTR, who was the municipal administration minister, allegedly directed Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials to illegally transfer a sum of Rs 55 crore to UK-based Formula E Operations (FEO), without approvals or following procedures, for hosting the next edition of Hyderabad ePrix in February 2024. Hyderabad withdrew from the race after the Congress assumed office in December 2023. KTR appeared before ACB for questioning on January 9. In the same case, he was also questioned by the Enforcement Directorate on January 16.

Oliver Rowland pulls well ahead of competition in Formula E Driver Standings after Tokyo E-Prix win

After securing the number two spot on the podium in Round 8, he went on to win the Round 9 race—his fourth victory of the 2025 Formula E World Championship . Sharing a post on his Instagram Stories, Rowland simply wrote, 'What a weekend.' Oliver Rowland takes over Japan Oliver Rowland has now won the Mexico E-Prix, Jeddah E-Prix Part 2, Monaco E-Prix Part 1, and Tokyo E-Prix Part 2. He currently sits at the top of the Formula E Driver Standings with 161 points. He holds a commanding lead, with Pascal Wehrlein in second place at 84 points. Oliver Rowland continues to share adorable pictures of his daughter on Instagram Stories as they explore Japan together. His daughter also accompanied him in the paddock when the Qualifying session was delayed due to rain. Fans were charmed by her cuteness, especially when she asked him to show his car. Speaking about his strategy after winning the Tokyo race, Rowland said, 'No words! I was not a master of strategy in the first half of the race, I was pretty disappointed in myself. But I figured out that everybody would kind of undercut me so I thought: 'I've got six minutes, I'll undercut them' and in the end it worked. I knew they would all react. I just had to make the progress on the first lap so it paid off today, but I was a bit lucky.' Sharing his plan for the road ahead, he added, 'I've always said that in Tokyo and Shanghai I need to keep pushing to extend the Championship lead. Going into Shanghai I'll have the same approach this year and then maybe after that we can start to think about the lead we've got.'
