Driver runs red light, sparks midday crash in downtown San Angelo
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A driver was cited for running a red light Friday afternoon, leading to a minor two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Irving Street and West Twohig Avenue, according to San Angelo Police. Authorities say a GMC Sierra was traveling east on West Twohig when the driver failed to stop at a red light and collided with a northbound Ford F-250 on South Irving. UPDATE: Neighborhood church that was destroyed by storms is starting to rebuild Each vehicle had one occupant, and no injuries were reported. OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred Wednesday in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said they located a 2017 Ford F-250 and took the driver, 21-year-old Jairo Pena Espana of Honduras, into custody. Espana is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a license resulting in death. An investigation is ongoing. The backstory The deadly crash took place at 6:22 a.m. on Wednesday in a neighborhood on Florida Parkway, south of Birchwood Circle in Kissimmee. Troopers said an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Florida Parkway, approaching East Bircwood Circle, while a woman may have been running on Florida Parkway in the northbound lane ahead of the vehicle. Troopers say the vehicle hit the 40-year-old woman and then fled the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital and died. Suspect arrested in hit-and-run that killed jogger in Osceola County
Florida Highway Patrol reports that an arrest has been made in a deadly hit-and-run. Troopers ay a 40-year-old Kissimmee woman was killed while jogging on Florida Parkway Wednesday morning. Troopers say a pickup truck did not stop and struck her as she entered the intersection of Sprucewood Lane. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her name was not released. The driver fled the scene. On Thursday, troopers said they found the Ford F-250 and arrested the driver. Jairo Pena Espana, 21, of Honduras is charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a license involving death. Motorcyclist in Lake County dies in afternoon crash
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a pickup truck in Lake County on Monday afternoon. Troopers said the crash happened around noon on State Road 33 and Pine Island Road in Groveland, which can be viewed on the map below. A cash report states a Yamaha motorcycle and a Ford F-250 were both traveling south on S.R. 33, approaching Pine Island said the motorcyclist began passing traffic in a no-passing zone when the pickup truck turned left to head east on Pine Island Road. The motorcycle's front end hit the pickup truck's left motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Motorcyclist dies from injuries after crash on U.S. 24 in Lafayette County
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist died from his injuries following a crash on U.S. 24 highway in Lafayette County this week, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash was reported on Monday just after 3:30 p.m. on U.S. 24 at Waterloo Road. Popular Kansas City metro artist seriously injured in Grandview crash According to a from the highway patrol, a driver in a Ford F-250 truck was trying to cross the highway and pulled out in front of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was headed west on U.S. 24. The motorcycle then hit the truck. The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man from Bates City, was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. He died at the hospital the next day, according to the highway patrol. The victim's name has not been released. The highway patrol is investigating the crash.
