A grocery store in Invercargill is celebrating after selling a winning Lotto ticket worth $15 million. The lucky ticket was bought at Plaza SuperValue and won in Saturday night's draw. The prize was part of a $30 million Powerball jackpot shared with another ticket sold in Wellington. The store shared the news on its Facebook page, urging customers to check their tickets. 'I didn't understand at first,' he told the New Zealand Herald. 'Then I read the news all over the place. I couldn't believe it.' Buha and his wife Shelly, have been running the store for less than three months. Before that, it was operated by the Bakker family for 55 years. Last night's First Division Powerball was struck with one player from Porirua picking up $17.2 million - $17 million from Powerball and $200,000 from a First Division split. Four other players also won $200,000 each after splitting the First Division draw. Recent wins A single supermarket in Canterbury sold four winning Lotto tickets worth just over $17,000 nearly three weeks ago. The tickets – sold at Woolworths Ashburton South – were among 15 Second Division tickets to win a total of $17,357 in the official Lotto draw. One of the tickets sold at Woolworths Ashburton also won the Powerball Second Division prize, taking their total winnings to $35,030.
