#SHOWBIZ: Lawyer of Fikry Ibrahim's wife denies she withdrew divorce application
KUALA LUMPUR: The Syariah lawyer representing Siti Khalizah Alihan, Wan Muhammad Afiq Mohd Razib, has refuted claims made by actor and host Fikry Ibrahim on TV3's Melodi last night, asserting that his client, Fikry's wife, has not withdrawn her divorce application. In a news report today, Wan Muhammad Afiq said that if the divorce application had indeed been withdrawn at the Federal Territory Syariah Court yesterday, as Fikry alleged, then no adjournment date would have been set for the divorce proceedings. "Yes, the court had given a long period for reconciliation. However, if the application were withdrawn, there wouldn't be an extension date issued by the court," he said. "We are requesting a further date to await the plaintiff's (Fikry's) response. If we had withdrawn it yesterday, then it would be over, with no adjournment date issued." He added: "There was no retraction yesterday. What the media reported yesterday is correct. I also don't want to inform (the media) otherwise." Fikry, who spoke to the media after the live broadcast of Melodi at Balai Berita last night, claimed that Siti Khalizah had appeared at the Federal Territory Syariah Court to withdraw her divorce application, which was filed last month. Fikry maintained that his marriage to Siti Khalizah, whom he married on Jan 12, is stable, even claiming they love each other. Commenting on Fikry's absence from the Federal Territory Syariah Court yesterday, Wan Muhammad Afiq confirmed that the summons had been served, but the plaintiff was not present. "The question of whether he (Fikry) sent our client to the court is outside our jurisdiction. What is certain is that he was not present yesterday," Wan Muhammad Afiq said. "We are all waiting for his stance on whether he wants to agree or not, or whether he wants to reconcile, because fundamentally, our client wants to reconcile. So, we need to know the plaintiff's position – whether he wants to reconcile or not. "But he (Fikry) didn't come yesterday either, so we couldn't get a response. If we are to make peace, there may be terms that need to be followed. Perhaps we can reconcile, which is why we need his stance and answer. "If he (Fikry) had come yesterday, we could have discussed it or received an answer. But he didn't come. So, we don't know his position. That's why the court set a postponement date." Yesterday, Wan Muhammad Afiq announced that his client had filed for divorce due to a lack of understanding between the couple. After the first mention of the divorce claim and application was completed yesterday, Wan Muhammad Afiq reportedly said that proceedings would continue on Sept 10 to allow both parties time to reconcile.

The exchange occurred in the comments section of a TikTok post, where the individual advised Diana to "catch a rich man" to ensure her financial security. Diana Danielle Danny Beeson, however, was quick to assert that she is capable of supporting herself without relying on a man's wealth. "If you're looking for money, get a job," she retorted. "If I wanted to catch a rich man, I would have done it a long time ago." "Now," she continued, "I'm the one who's rich. And there are many men who depend on women." The majority of netizens rallied behind Diana's stance, urging her to disregard the negative comment. "No need to pay attention to comments like this. Just focus on surviving; you already know what's good and what's bad," one netizen commented. Another added, "That's right, don't listen to such foul language." "Not everyone wants to rely on someone's wealth; these days, many women are working," another netizen pointed out. One comment offered a different perspective: "If she marries a rich man, what's wrong with that? God has already decided." This exchange follows Diana's second divorce from actor Farid Kamil, which was finalised at the Federal Territory Syariah Court, here, on March 24. The couple's first divorce, delivered via Google Meet, took place on Aug 10, 2023. However, they reconciled 21 days later. Diana and Farid were married on Nov 3, 2012, and have two children: Muhammad, 12, and Nur Aurora, 10.

Edika and Nor Hidayah part ways after 22 years

Edika pronounced the divorce with a single talak against Nor Hidayah at the Federal Territory Syariah Court on May 5. Edika appeared sombre, while Nor Hidayah, who was wheelchair-bound, was seen shedding tears as she exited the courtroom. The couple's story previously touched the hearts of many when it was revealed that Edika had taken care of Hidayah after she became partially paralysed from giving birth to their second child 16 years ago. The couple have three children – Nazirul Afiq, Fardeen Nasrulhaq and Fereena Nurulhaq. > What was initially thought to be a joyous occasion turned into despair for a woman in Baling, Kedah, after she learned that her bloated belly is not due to pregnancy but stage four liver cancer, reported Harian Metro. KUALA LUMPUR: The controversial marriage between actress Marissa Dania Hakim and Ahmad Aslam continues to draw attention, with Aslam expressing his desire to formally apologise to his mother-in-law, Abby Abadi, to resolve the lingering family issues. Aslam, who married Marissa in Songkhla, Thailand, on Dec 27, 2023, acknowledged that the situation stemmed from his actions. The marriage took place without the knowledge of his first wife, Umisya Mazlan, who was performing Umrah at the time, or Marissa's parents, actors Norman Hakim and Abby. "I realise and admit my mistakes. So, I ask all parties not to make the situation worse. "I am also a normal human being; I make mistakes and try to improve myself, God willing," Aslam told BH Online. Following the marriage, Abby had expressed surprise when asked to apologise to Aslam's first wife, Umisya. Instead, she called on Aslam to apologise to her. Aslam stated his intentions to meet Abby, saying, "I do have plans to meet her, God willing, when I have time. I am also looking for a suitable time to meet her." Meanwhile, Aslam and Marissa appeared at the Federal Territory Syariah Court here for confirmation proceedings regarding their marriage today. However, the court adjourned the proceedings, citing technical issues with the application form. "There was a slight problem regarding personal information in the confirmation of overseas marriage application form, so we were asked to update our personal information and come back on another date," Aslam said. Aslam and Umisya were married in July 2020 and have three children: Hud, 4, Nuh, 3, and a two-month-old daughter. Aslam and Marissa do not have children yet.
