Russell Wilson Steals the Show on Father's Day
Russell Wilson Steals the Show on Father's Day originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The New York Giants signed quarterback Russell Wilson in March to a one-year, $10.5 million deal. In signing Wilson, the Giants didn't just find a starter. They added a leader for the locker room and a mentor for rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who the veteran seems more than happy to take under his wing. Advertisement The New York faithful got their first glimpses of Wilson during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp. As the clock ticks toward Dart's debut, the fans have embraced Wilson, appreciating the upgrade he offers over Daniel Jones and the role he'll play in the rookie's development. Wilson has returned the favor, diving into the city's rich sports culture by cheering on the New York Knicks and New York Yankees (the latter of which he has ties to as a drafted baseball player). Fans got a closer look at Wilson on social media, sending love to his Father's Day Instagram post. 'I'm grateful to walk alongside my kids as they grow into strong, compassionate leaders,' Wilson wrote. 'It's my greatest honor being your father. I'm thankful for my brother always having my back. And Dad, I'm thankful for you showing me how to do it all. I miss you, but I Thank You. Finally, God is the ultimate GOOD Father. Happy Father's Day!!!' Advertisement Wilson's father, Harrison Wilson III, passed away in 2010. A core tenet of Wilson's character is his leadership, as he mentioned in relation to his children. He elaborated on how he is bringing those intangibles to East Rutherford. 'I think the biggest thing is for me is just being my best every day, leading,' he said. 'I always think about just leading everybody, just leading every room, every moment, every time I get to step between the white lines and the opportunity of that… 'So just I think the fellowship of it all is the best part right now. Obviously, our work ethic and what we're doing in the field. But when it comes to just the tight-knit culture that we're continuing to build and continue to grow, and we want to have a championship football team, and in terms of our mentality and our approach and how we go about it. Advertisement 'And it's not just the games, but it's everything that leads up to that. And that's the fun part about the game of football.' Hawks' Larry Nance Jr. reveals Top 5 NBA moments on Father's Day
The post Hawks' Larry Nance Jr. reveals Top 5 NBA moments on Father's Day appeared first on ClutchPoints. Sharing touching moments is something everyone can appreciate; hearing a handful from a hoops family is a blessing. Well, highly valued Atlanta Hawks veteran Larry Nance Jr. marked Father's Day 2025 with a poignant tribute to his NBA journey, sharing his top five career moments with ClutchPoints on social media. Each memory (except one) reflects his deep ties to family and the enduring influence of his father, Larry Nance Sr., the 1984 Slam Dunk Contest champion and Cleveland Cavaliers legend. Advertisement Blending family, legacy, and career highlights in a touching tribute, the 32-year-old Hawks veteran insisted these were in no particular order. However, Larry Nance Jr. mentioned Kobe Bryant's 60-point farewell game first. David Richard-USA TODAY Sports Nance Jr. was a rookie with the Los Angeles Lakers during Kobe Bryant's final NBA game on April 13, 2016, when the Lakers legend dropped 60 points against the Utah Jazz. 'Being on the court for that and being able to share moments with him before and after that game,' Nance Jr. told ClutchPoints. 'Even during (the game), those are just things I'll never forget.' In 2018, Nance Jr. returned to Cleveland via trade and played a key role in their NBA Finals run alongside LeBron James. Though the Cavaliers were swept by Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors, Nance Jr. cherished the experience with his childhood team nonetheless. He has since had stints with the Portland Trail Blazers and New Orleans Pelicans before landing with the Hawks. Advertisement A 'dunk contest with dad' was next on the list. Now, that could be a long-running family feud or something more public. Young Larry was not alive for Larry Sr.'s sensational 1984 performance. This more than likely was a nod to the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where Nance Jr. paid homage to his father by wearing a retro Phoenix Suns No. 22 jersey and performing the Nance family's signature cradle dunk. Though the homegrown dunker did not win, the father-son connection created a memorable spectacle. The same goes for when the NBA and Cavaliers cleared Nance Jr. to wear Larry Sr.'s number 22 in an actual game. After being traded to Cleveland, Nance Jr. switched to No. 22, honoring his father's retired number. His debut in that jersey marked a personal milestone, symbolizing family legacy and adding a layer of motivation. Not that Nance Jr. needed much motivation in a 10-year career that has led to the Hawks. Some nights were a bit more amped up than others, though. The first brother (Larry) versus brother (Pete Nance) NBA ballgame was last on the list. Related: Hawks rumors: What Atlanta seeks in draft amid trade buzz, expected free agent loss

Justin Bieber's father's day ended in 'bitter' showdown with his wife Hailey who branded him a 'f***ing child' after 'broken' star shared erratic posts online where he called her a 'lil ho'
Justin Bieber's Father's Day reportedly ended in a bitter showdown with his wife Hailey after he spent the day posting bizarre messages on Instagram. The singer, 31, failed to share any tribute to his wife, 28, or their nine-month old son Jack Blues Bieber on the day, aside from seemingly referring to her as a 'lil ho'. Instead he shared a barrage of bizarre pictures and messages on his social media, including private messages in which he admitted to being 'traumatized' before cutting out a friend for struggling to accept his 'anger.' According to reports, Hailey was 'beyond furious' and branded her husband a 'f***ing child', as she begged him to seek professional help rather than sharing rambling messages online. Justin also shared a personal statement referred to himself as 'broken' and spoke about how he struggles with anger, healing and self-worth. One of the posts, where he showed off two Prada backpacks, a MacBook and a gold and diamond Audemars Piguet watch, which may have been gifts from Hailey. Justin referenced Father's Day and wrote: 'Happy daddies day to me u lil ho'. In response, Hailey took a savage swipe at her husband following his brutal remark towards her on Mother's Day in which he declared 'Mother's Day sucks a**.' Returning the remark, Hailey wrote: 'Father's Day sucks a**'. Back in May, the Peaches singer had a concerning outburst on Mother's Day when Hailey was celebrating the holiday as a mom for the first time. An insider told the Sun that this latest outburst, which comes months after Justin was pictured at a strip club, has rocked the couple. A source told the publication: 'The post really set her off — she told him it was one of the dumbest things he's ever done like 'feeding raw meat to a pack of lions who want to eat you alive.' The mother of one is apparently desperate for him to go to therapy for his issues, with the insider saying: 'She's been telling him for a while to get help - see a therapist, talk to someone who can help him manage his anger and mood swings. Hailey didn't want him to post that message' They added: 'She's fed up with his childish behaviour and the constant negativity he brings onto himself. She told him to stop being a 'f*****g child' and to finally start listening to the people who care about him.' 'I'm a dad that's not to be f***ed with,' he wrote with a weary-eyed selfie on Sunday During the day, Justin shared around 20 posts with the middle finger emoji as the caption, including several with his son. 'I'm a dad that's not to be f***ed with,' he wrote with a weary-eyed selfie on Sunday. He did share several selfies of himself seemingly celebrating the day as he shared a snap of him posing with a hibachi chef and a photo of Hailey sitting at a grand piano with Jack in his lap. Regardless of not posting a tribute, it appeared Hailey spent the day with the new dad as she reposted one of his snapshots of her and their son together but did not make any mention of Justin and did not wish him a happy Father's Day on social media. Instead, she shared many posts about her newest Rhode beauty release and reposted influencer snaps. Hailey, who quipped in a recent post she would be partaking in 'Lemon drop martinis and therapy all summer long,' had not posted any personal greetings to him online. This comes after Justin's brutal swipes on Mother's Day this year and when she was celebrating her first Vogue cover story — in which she opened up about 'scary' complications during labor and how she feared she would 'die' while giving birth to their first child last year. Back in May, the Peaches singer had a concerning outburst on Mother's Day when Hailey was celebrating the holiday as a mom for the first time. He was slammed by fans for being inconsiderate towards his wife when he left a note on Instagram which read: 'Love u moms but mothers day sucks a**.' The post was quickly deleted but was swiftly criticized with users shocked that he could be referring to his wife, who gave birth to Jack in August 2024. Amid months of ongoing speculation around the pair's marriage, he also faced backlash for another concerning post about Hailey's first Vogue cover. He received substantial backlash after revealing he once cruelly told his wife that she would never grace the cover of Vogue during a heated argument. As rumors of marital woes continue to ravage, Justin has continued his social media spree even as fans continue to encourage him to take a break from being online and Hailey publicly avoids the subject of his posts.
