Question of the Week: which movie car do you dream of owning the most?

Question of the Week A Fast and Furious legend came and went for sale all too quickly last week, and that got us thinking… Skip 4 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Lead movie cars are cool when they're done right, and Han's Veilside 'Fortune' Mazda RX-7 from Tokyo Drift is one of the finest examples of this. That it hogged most of the attention in a movie packed with characterful metal - from Sean's RB26-swapped '67 Stang to Takashi's menacing 350Z - is telling of just how right its builders got it. Advertisement - Page continues below So you can imagine our frustration that one of the three original cars used in filming appeared for sale last week… before the listing ended on a whim. Chances are, someone saw the £345k price as a worthwhile investment. Shame, that. We were just about to hit 'post' on a bound-to-be-successful crowdfunding pitch... sniff. You might like Just look at it. That body kit completely transforms the RX-7's looks with new light signatures and a spate of bumper attachments. Chromed and dished five-spoke alloys sit at each corner, and the gorgeous silhouette is finished up in a 'House of Kolor Orange' and black livery. It was left completely stock, too, so the sequential twin-turbo, twin-rotor '13B' engine still put out 276bhp, got to 62mph in 5.3s and topped out at 155mph. No devilishly over-complicated internals here; just brutal Nineties simplicity that probably could be driven with a pair of Uwabakis on. Advertisement - Page continues below Sure, the bucket seats are slightly worn, but you will find an aftermarket sound system, a DVD screen on the passenger's side, and lots of carbon fibre along the dashboard and centre console. That R34-humbling NOS bottle is still perched between the seats, albeit probably empty after all these years. Still, very desirable. Anyway, that got us thinking: if you could pick one, and only one, which movie car do you dream of owning more than any other? Any movie, any era. Universal Studios Hollywood Goes Full Throttle with 72 MPH Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Coaster — GeekTyrant

Universal Studios Hollywood is throwing the brakes out the window with its wildest thrill ride yet, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. Officially set to open in 2026, this coaster its a massive leap forward for the park in both speed and scale. This will be Universal's fastest roller coaster ever, hitting a top speed of 72 mph. It's also the biggest coaster the Hollywood park has ever built, and it. Rather than fight the park's famously tricky terrain, the design team leaned into it. The track snakes down the hills, accelerating as it goes, like a controlled freefall with Dom Toretto-level attitude. 'Watching the progress of this incredible roller coaster come to life is truly spectacular,' said Scott Strobl, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Universal Studios Hollywood. '2026 is just around the corner and we are equally as excited as our guests to introduce such an inspiring new ride to our theme park portfolio. 'Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift' will be a powerful game changer for Universal Studios Hollywood that will not only transform the topography of our destination but will infuse an entirely new level of adrenaline to our already dynamic theme park. We look forward to riding it ourselves and to welcoming guests to experience it in the very near future.' The ride will launch from the Upper Lot, right across from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, on the former site of the special effects and animal stunt shows. Guests will start their adrenaline journey in a shady warehouse-style queue designed to mimic the film franchise's underground garage vibes. One of the most eye-catching features is the coaster's ride vehicles that fully rotate 360 degrees. This innovation simulates the iconic drift action from the Fast & Furious movies, spinning riders mid-air in sync with the chaotic energy of the franchise. It's not just fast—it feels fast. The 4,100 feet of track includes elevated segments and plunging drops, leading to a major loop situated near the revamped Jurassic World r ide. It's an aggressive use of space and speed that's clearly designed to keep the blood pumping from start to finish. Universal also unveiled one of the four cars that will be used in the ride vehicles, Toretto's legendary 1970 Dodge Charger. That car is now on display at the park, and yes, it looks ready to explode out of the gates. Universal Studios Hollywood is kicking its theme park game into high gear. Whether you're a thrill junkie or a Fast franchise lifer, Hollywood Drift sounds like it's going to demand repeat rides.

This one question turned Daniel Mac into an online star overnight

A video about what expensive car owners do for a living took the internet by storm and started one online influencer's lucrative content-creation career. Daniel Macdonald, known as "Daniel Mac" across social media platforms, spoke with Fox News Digital about how he became an internet sensation by inquiring about what people on the streets do for a living. "It was during COVID and I walked up to somebody in an Audi R8 and I asked them what they did, I posted a video and my first video got like 40 million views just right off the bat," Macdonald said. He continued to post similar videos and, a week later, had one million followers. "It was kind of like an untapped market of people that were interested in a little bit of comedy, but also in figuring out how they could also get wealthy too. It was like the boom of kind of financial, on-the-street interview-style content," Macdonald said. Along with interviewing supercar owners, he has also interviewed owners of yachts, watches, and other luxury items. Macdonald described his niche as asking what luxury owners do for a living in order to get an insight into how these people became wealthy. When he started producing content, he didn't realize that there was also an opportunity to make money from content creation outside of YouTube. Then a few months later, Macdonald started receiving deals, recalling, "I did my first brand deal with Helen Mirren for 'Fast and Furious.' And that was like six months after I posted my first video." One big check surprised Macdonald, and was the start of his full-time content creation career. "The money was really interesting too. I remember, the first check that actually made me consider quitting my job was from Snapchat. And I remember looking at it and thinking it was a misprint, but the amount was basically my annual salary for a month. And that's when I realized that this is actually something that can be really lucrative." He then quit his 9-5, which he described as "really scary," and moved to Los Angeles. The leap of faith paid off and now Macdonald has met many celebrities and continues to post content to his social media pages that each have millions of followers and subscribers. "Every day, I'm like, this is the dream job. I can't even believe it's a reality," he said. Macdonald shared what he learned from interviewing wealthy people. "I think that's something that a lot of younger people need to hear is that you really don't need to have your job figured out because most of these wealthy people did 10 different things before they got wealthy that I interviewed." Additionally, Macdonald added that many wealthy people are not flashy and maintain a low profile. "It's actually a lot harder for me to get interviews out of people that are on that top, top level because they don't want to flex," he said. Macdonald concluded that he believes his platforms are encouraging other young people to get out of their comfort zone. "I get people to get out of the house and get out of their comfort zone, kind of like I do," he said. Watch Daniel Mac on "Fox & Friends" on June 17 at 8:50 a.m. ET.
