Report reveals C.J. Mosley wanted one last run with the Ravens before retiring

Report reveals C.J. Mosley wanted one last run with the Ravens before retiring C.J. Mosley tried to come home to the Ravens before retiring. Sometimes, we forget that these are people we are talking about. In today's age, we've analyzed many of their games since they were playing in high school. They aren't just the Baltimore Ravens. They're gladiators. They're superheroes in pads and helmets, but at the same time, they are also people. The same guys we reduce to Madden ratings and Fantasy football points have families. They have mothers and children. They have feelings. Sure, sometimes we look at them and all we think about is their cap number, but that isn't fair. The Ravens have long been a group of characters who have character. Look at them. This organization reinvented the term 'swagger', but every once in a while, they bond with us, both fans and the media. Enter C.J. Mosley. C.J. Mosley attempted a Ravens reunion pre-retirement announcement It's been a while. The Baltimore Ravens selected C.J. Mosley 17th overall during Round 1 of the 2014 NFL Draft. Four of his first five NFL seasons ended in nominations to the Pro Bowl Roster. He earned four Second-Team All-Pro mentions as well, but in 2020, he left the nest and joined the New York Jets after signing a five-year deal that would pay him $85 million. He earned another Pro Bowl nod and Second-Team All-Pro mention during the 2022 Jets season. Things were never the same for Mosley in New York as they were for him in Baltimore. He missed all but two games in 2019. He opted out of the 2020 NFL season due to COVID-19. Toe and neck injuries forced him to miss all but four games during the most recent Jets campaign. He was released on March 12 and retired on his birthday, but it appears he attempted one last ride with Baltimore before he did so. WJZ's Rick Ritter reports that C.J. hoped for a reunion in Baltimore for one last run at a title. There was reportedly interest on both sides, but he couldn't get cleared medically because of the damage done by previous injuries. I'm told C.J. Mosley was hoping for a reunion in Baltimore to chase a championship. There was mutual interest there but unfortunately, he couldn't get cleared with his neck injury @wjz @WJZ13sports @CBSSports — Rick Ritter (@RickRitterWJZ) June 19, 2025 Yeah... We always knew he missed The Flock, right? It's understandable. The Ravens family also missed him, and everyone understood he had to leave to ensure the long-term financial future of his family. That being said, though the journey may have ended, we're left with the joy of memories he helped create, memories like the following: An iconic moment in Ravens history. Congratulations on your career and retirement, C.J. — Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) June 19, 2025 The caption reads as it should. "An iconic moment in Ravens history... Congratulations on your career and retirement, C.J." Everyone can agree with that... Enjoy the rest, Mr. Mosley. You have certainly earned it. Kick those feet up. The young guys will take it from here.

Mariah Carey stuns in a figure-hugging black crochet dress and boots as she departs her hotel in London - after her diva demands at Capital's Summertime Ball were revealed

Mariah Carey looked nothing short of sensational as she departed her hotel in London on Tuesday after performing her first UK show in six years at Capital's Summertime Ball. The American singer, 56, showcased her enviable figure in a black crochet midi dress, which featured long sleeves and a matching slip dress underneath. The Fantasy hitmaker added inches to her height with a pair of black knee-high leather boots. To complete her look, she further accessorised with a pair of sparkly black shades and styled her blonde locks in a voluminous blowout. The beauty appeared in high spirits as she smiled and waved for the cameras while security escorted her to her car. It comes after Mariah's extravagant backstage demands during Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium were revealed. The self-confessed diva took to the iconic London stage alongside the likes of Rita Ora and Will Smith for what was her first UK show in a whopping six years. Speaking on the red carpet, Capital Radio's Siân Welby, 38, let slip that the hitmaker had 'totally changed' her dressing room ahead of her performance. She told The Sun: 'We will do what we're told. When it comes to Mariah, she is the boss. 'She's changed the whole dressing room to just be called Mimi's World. Doesn't even have Capital branding anymore. It's all her zone.' In comparison, co-host Chris Stark added: 'Will Smith, by the way, is the most chilled, like he's just wandering around. He was in catering. He just went and sat himself down and got himself some food.' MailOnline has contacted Mariah's reps for comment. Last year, MailOnline revealed how the star was living up to her diva reputation during her Christmas Time tour, according to sources who claimed she was 'being so extra.' Members of production were 'asked not to speak or take photos with her' - while the star reportedly decreed that she would not embark on the tour with any 'unattractive dancers.' To complete her look, she further accessorised with a pair of sparkly black shades and styled her blonde locks in a voluminous blowout The beauty appeared in high spirits as she got escorted to her car by security 'Mariah is just being so extra this year,' an insider told 'She is getting paid an insane amount of money. Rehearsals started at the end of September as she wants it to be the grandest tour yet. 'One of her requests was that her main backup dancers are all "hot" men. She did not want any unattractive dancers.' Elsewhere, the star made it clear that she doesn't care about costs after demanding a full glam squad for early rehearsals. The insider continued: 'She also requested hair and makeup for the rehearsals. 'Everyone who is directly involved in the production has been asked not to speak to Mariah or take photos with her.' During her set at Capital's Summertime Ball, Mariah showed off her incredible physique in a figure-hugging black mini playsuit with black tights. Mariah closed the ball and kicked off her setlist with her 1995 hit Fantasy before Emotions and Hero. The diva then serenaded the crowd with Always Be My Baby as well as Type Dangerous, Touch My Body, and It's Like That. The All I Want For Christmas singer brought the Summertime Ball to a close with her 2005 single We Belong Together. Reacting to her live performance, Mariah was showered in praise by fans who claimed it was her 'best vocals in years'. Taking to social media, one concert-goer said: 'Mariah at the #SummerTimeBall - best live vocals from her in years…and hit after hit after hit. Bring on Brighton Pride.' A second posted: 'Mariah killed it at the #Summertimeball looking and sounding incredible.'

Mariah Carey explains why she doesn't believe in the concept of time

Mariah Carey has shed light on why she pays no attention to the concept of time, and destroyed our brains in the process. The All I Want For Christmas singer has made her feelings on getting older very clear over the years, and previously declared that she only celebrates her 'anniversaries'. Unpacking this further in a new interview with Capital FM ahead of her Summertime Ball performance over the weekend, the 56-year-old made her feelings very clear. When asked whether it was true that she doesn't 'acknowledge the passing of time', she conceded: 'That is true … I just don't believe in it.' Touching on if she means time zones, Mariah simply replied: 'No, no. just time. Let it go!' As the baffled interviewers attempted to get to the bottom of exactly what this meant, the mom-of-two clarified: 'I don't have a birthday, no. Anniversaries, yes.' She added that, if she was meeting someone at a specific time, she would 'have somebody call you and figure it out.' It truly is Mariah's world and we're all just living in it… However, it must be noted that the Fantasy musician does see 'time' at some points, as she annually reminds us that 'it's time' for winter to begin the very second the clock strikes midnight on November 1, ushering in her Christmas celebrations. This isn't the first time that the Grammy-winner has spoken publicly about looking at time differently, as she has been vocal about shunning traditional 'birthdays' in favor of 'anniversaries'. Speaking to Out Magazine in 2014, she opened up about her reasoning behind this, and why she stays 'eternally 12'. 'I don't count years but I definitely rebuke them … I have anniversaries, not birthdays, because I celebrate life, darling,' she explained. 'As a kid I literally made this pact. More Trending 'There had been some sort of argument with my mom and the man she was dating at the time, and somehow I became a part of it – I was around 8 or 9 years old, and I said, 'I'm never going to forget how it feels to be a kid, and you can't be seen or heard.' 'It's as though your opinion doesn't mean anything, or your feelings are not real.' We hope we get an invite to Mariah's next 12th anniversary party. Got a story? 'IT'S Cinderella!' a young girl exclaims, rushing past. Nostalgia floods over me when I turn around to find the fairytale princess floating towards us in her dazzling blue ballgown complete with shimmering tiara. Many kids relished the opportunity to don their favourite princess costumes every day. However, I wasn't expecting In fact, there are so many adult-only areas around the ship where parents, couples or solo travellers can kick back and relax, away from the excited giggles. For a sophisticated evening, classy champagne bar Ooh La La serves elegant tipples like the Elderbubble, a champagne and elderflower concoction topped with a raspberry. An All-New Adventure Is On The Horizon Or there's the Irish-inspired, O'Gills, and lively club-bar, while The Tube serves drinks late into the night. Aside from the watering holes, there are two adult-exclusive restaurants too — Remy, which dishes up fancy French plates in a glam setting, and Italian-style Palo which serves traditional dishes but with a modern twist. Advertisement For a properly-personalised experience, though, check out the three main restaurants: Royal Court, Animator's Palate and Enchanted Garden, which serve three-course dinners as part of the 'rotational dining'. This gives guests the same waiting staff every night who will get to know likes and dislikes and suggest dishes accordingly. I had the lovely Sheree from the Philippines who made sure everyone was thoroughly fed, and Adroy from India who gave our table puzzles every night to keep us entertained. When it comes to on board activities, the list is as long as Rapunzel's hair, with everything from Disney trivia quizzes to crafts, silent discos, and character meet-and-greets. I saw amazing shows like Aladdin and Frozen as well as Disney's Believe, a musical exclusive to Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream which didn't leave a dry eye in the room. If that's not enough Disney for you, guests can get stuck into themed evenings, including a formal night where fans waltzed around in glittering ballgowns, as well as pirate night. From D'Albertis Castle, a fortress carved into the hillside, I was able to look out over pastel-toned buildings, backed by rugged mountains, with the sea in the distance.
