Father's Day 2025: Google Doodle Celebrates Dads With 'G' Sprouting Leaves
Last Updated: Google's Father's Day 2025 Doodle features the letter 'G' sprouting leaves, symbolising growth and nurturing. Although it's not visible in India, you can view it here. FATHER'S DAY 2025 GOOGLE DOODLE TODAY: Google's Doodle on Sunday celebrated Father's Day 2025 with a heartfelt tribute to fathers worldwide. The June 15, 2025, illustration features a vibrant, nature-inspired design with the letter 'G" sprouting leaves, symbolising growth, nurturing, and the enduring influence of fathers. The accompanying message reads: 'This Doodle celebrates Father's Day! Thank you to all of the dads who helped us grow." The artwork was created by Google Doodler Olivia When, who used a combination of digital painting and stop-motion techniques to bring the doodle to life. The design reflects the themes of care, guidance, and the foundational role fathers play in their children's lives. Father's Day is celebrated on different dates around the world. In many countries, including the United States and India, it falls on the third Sunday of June. Father's Day this year in India is being celebrated on June 15. However, in some Catholic countries like Spain and Portugal, it is observed on March 19, the Feast of Saint Joseph. Celebrating Father's Day is a heartfelt opportunity to honour the dads and father figures who have shaped our lives. Whether you're in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru or elsewhere, here are meaningful ways to make June 15, 2025, a day to remember: Cook His Favourite Meal: Start the day by preparing a special breakfast or brunch featuring his favourite dishes. If he's a fan of grilling, consider a backyard barbecue. For dessert, treat him to something sweet like chocolate brownie pudding or frozen grahamwiches. Create a Memory Jar: Collect notes from family members sharing favorite memories, reasons they appreciate him, or heartfelt messages. Place these notes in a jar for him to read throughout the day, offering a tangible reminder of his impact. Host a Movie Marathon: Set up a cozy space with blankets and pillows, and watch a selection of his favourite films or new releases. Include his favorite snacks and beverages to enhance the experience. Engage in a DIY Project Together: Whether it's building a birdhouse, assembling furniture, or tackling a home improvement task, working on a project together can be a rewarding bonding experience. Plan an Outdoor Adventure: Organise a hike, picnic, or camping trip to enjoy nature and spend quality time together. For a unique twist, consider stargazing or a sailing expedition. Curate a Personalized Playlist: Compile a mix of songs that reflect his personality and your relationship. Include tracks like 'Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross or 'Papa Mere Papa" to evoke cherished memories. Treat Him to a Spa Day: Create a relaxing atmosphere at home with scented oils, soothing music, and perhaps a foot soak or massage. Alternatively, book a professional spa treatment to pamper him. Give Back Together: Spend part of the day volunteering for a cause he cares about, such as helping at a local shelter or organizing a community event. Host a Surprise Party: Invite close family and friends for a celebration featuring his favorite foods, games, and activities. Tailor the theme to his interests to make it extra special. Write a Heartfelt Letter: Express your gratitude and love through a handwritten letter, highlighting specific moments and qualities that make him special. This personal gesture can be a cherished keepsake. Here's wishing all dads and fatherly figures a very Happy Father's Day 2025!
