Samsung's next mid-range phone confirmed to arrive on June 27
Samsung is going to have a remarkably busy summer. The South Korean giant is gearing up for the launch of its two foldable flagships, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, as well as a trio of affordable Android phones. Besides that, Samsung has one more surprise for those who aren't particularly interested in its expensive phones, Galaxy M36. The sequel to the arguably very popular Galaxy M35 has been teased by Samsung for a few days now. Today, Samsung confirmed the Galaxy M36 will be officially introduced in India on June 27. The phone will be available for purchase through Amazon India and Samsung's official website. Samsung has already revealed that the Galaxy M36 comes in three colors: Velvet Black, Serene Green, and Orange Haze. We also know the phone is just 7.7mm thick, which makes it 15 percent thinner than the Galaxy M35. When it comes to camera, there don't seem to be any upgrades, as the Galaxy M36 features the same triple camera as its predecessor: 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. Also, the phone features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, just like the Galaxy will be interesting to see if Samsung managed to include a slightly bigger battery inside. There are no details about that yet, but the Galaxy M35 comes with a huge 6,000 mAh battery, which was one of the phone's main selling points. However, besides the visual aspect, the panels are pretty much the same specs-wise, and they're both protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ too. Although no details about pricing options have been revealed yet, it makes sense for the Galaxy M36 to cost around the same as its predecessor. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE leak points to thinner bezels
TL;DR A new leak may give us our first look at the Galaxy S25 FE. The device is said to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung may have upgraded the front camera to 12MP. In January, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra. The company then followed that up with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge in May. Samsung could finish up the S25 series in the next few months by launching a Fan Edition, and we may have just gotten our first look at it. In collaboration with tipster OnLeaks, SamMobile has shared a few CAD renders of what's believed to be the Galaxy S25 FE. According to the outlet, the FE will come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That display may offer a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, but that number hasn't been confirmed. We could also see the front camera upgraded from 10MP to 12MP. Additionally, the report mentions that we can expect the dimensions to be 161.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm. While there are no details about the price, the outlet speculates that the price could go up by $50. For reference, the Galaxy S24 FE launched with a price tag of $650. It's also unclear what chip will be sitting inside, but potential options could be an Exynos 2400 or a MediaTek Dimensity 9400. These renders also seem to suggest that the bezels will be thinner than last year. It's believed that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 FE in late Q3 or early Q4 of this year. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 tipped to 'fully adopt' Exynos chip — and that could have a huge impact on Galaxy S26
Every major Samsung phone launch seems to be preceded by the same debate — Snapdragon or Exynos? — as rumors circulate about which chipset the phone maker plans to use in its latest device. Inevitably, Qualcomm's Snapdragon silicon tends to get the call, but that might be changing with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which we're expecting to launch next month. A new report from Korean publication, DealSite (translated by leaker Jukanlosreve) claims that Samsung will "fully equip" the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with a "proprietary mobile application processor (AP), Exynos 2500." This means that every Flip 7 across the world could potentially feature an Exynos system-on-chip. If true, the report would contradict a previous claim that Samsung had decided to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy Z Flip 7 models released in the U.S. while other models would feature the Exynos silicon. Outside of Asia, most Samsung phones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip. Countries like India and Korea often get mixed devices with some higher-end phones feature Qualcomm while slightly weaker ones have an Exynos chip. However, for years it's been rumored that Samsung wants to power global models with its own chip. Allegedly, the yield rate for the 2500 processor is at 30%, half of what it usually needs for mass production. The chip is based on a 3nm process, similar to what you would expect form Qualcomm or TSMC's current production of Apple chips. "I understand that there are plans to adopt Exynos as the AP for the entire Flip7 series. Although there was internal debate due to the low yield, the direction is ultimately leaning towards full adoption despite the low yield," an industry insider reportedly told DealSite. According to the report, Samsung will release the book-style foldable Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a "mix of Exynos and Snapdragon." Qualcomm's chips have gotten more expensive, which may partially explain price increases for Samsung's recent phones. The Galaxy Z Flip 6, powered by a then-top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, saw a $100 price hike over its predecessor, bringing the starting price of Samsung's foldable flip phone to $1,099. It's unclear if turning to an Exynos chip would help Samsung lower the price of its new foldable — or simply maintain the existing $1,099 price tag amid rising costs for other components. It appears, the Flip 7 could be an experiment for Samsung. If it's successful, despite the current low yield, it could help Samsung negotiate with Qualcomm and find new customers looking for potentially cheaper chips. The report claims that Samsung's foundries are also working on an Exynos 2600 SoC based on a 2nm process that could potentially slot into the Galaxy S26 flagship next year. Though allegedly, the yield rate for that chip is even less than the 2500. This does align with previous rumors claiming that the Galaxy S26 could get an Exynos chip. Still, as mentioned at the top, these rumors continually crop up and keep not being true. It's clear Samsung wants to put its own chip in its phones in a bigger fashion, but the company has also failed to do so. We'll know for sure if the Z Flip 7 features an Exynos or Qualcomm chip in July when Samsung is expected to debut its next round of foldable phones.

Samsung's Galaxy A56 is still missing from U.S. store shelves nearly three months after its global debut, but that might be about to change (finally). A new development suggests the company is still planning to bring the phone stateside, albeit on its own slow schedule. The delay is frustrating, especially considering Samsung confirmed back in March that the A56 would arrive stateside, just not immediately. Since then, the company hasn't said much — but behind the scenes, development hasn't can now confirm that Samsung is actively working on U.S. firmware for the Galaxy A56 , specifically model number SM-A566U1. That's the clearest sign yet that the device is still coming. While there's still no firm release date, continued firmware development suggests Samsung is inching closer to launch. One possible reason for the slow rollout is that the Galaxy A56 offers tremendous value for its price — so much so that it could compete with the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE. Priced at $499 globally, the A56 brings a 120Hz AMOLED display, the Exynos 1480 chip with AMD graphics, and five years of software support. In some ways, it threatens to undercut Samsung's FE series. The Galaxy A56 has a lot going for it: it has a 6.6-inch 1080p AMOLED display together with a 50 MP main camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. It also comes with four OS updates and five years of security patches. One of its strongest selling points, however, is the Exynos 1480 processor, which includes a stronger GPU with higher graphics performance than previous A5x phones.
