Author Sandra Richards Shares Powerful Spiritual Encounters in Her Memoir
God Shouts When He Whispers: A Personal Testimony of God's Involvement in My Life Continues to Inspire Readers Seeking Deeper Faith and Understanding NV, UNITED STATES, June 18, 2025 / / -- With growing interest in personal testimonies of faith and supernatural experiences, Sandra Richards' remarkable memoir, God Shouts When He Whispers: A Personal Testimony of God's Involvement in My Life, continues to resonate with readers who are hungry for deeper spiritual truth and divine connection. The book is a deeply honest and compelling account of Richards' extraordinary spiritual journey—a life marked by divine intervention, angelic protection, miraculous experiences, and direct encounters with both good and evil forces. In one of the most unique aspects of her story, she details how God allowed her to worship in His throne room on two separate occasions. She also chronicles a deeply personal and spiritually significant interaction involving Elvis Presley, inspired by the urging of the Holy Spirit. A lifelong Christian raised in the Seventh-day Adventist faith, Richards faced early adversity, including the loss of her father at age eleven and marrying young at sixteen. Through perseverance and faith, she went on to earn an Associate degree in Secretarial Science from Adirondack Community College in New York and later, a Bachelor's in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her previous work, Elvis, If Only We'd Known (now out of print), first introduced readers to her belief in the singer's deep spiritual struggles and potential. In God Shouts When He Whispers, she expands on that foundation with new insights and revelations. Though initially hesitant to write the book due to its controversial content and personal nature, Richards shares that the decision was ultimately one of obedience. 'The Holy Spirit said to me, 'You will write the book,' and Jesus followed with, 'Do not be afraid.' That moment of divine confirmation gave me the courage to move forward,' she explains. At its heart, the message of God Shouts When He Whispers is simple yet profound: God longs to connect personally with each of us. Richards' testimony reminds readers that divine presence is real, active, and deeply invested in the lives of those willing to listen. For those searching for spiritual encouragement or affirmation that heaven is watching and involved, this book offers hope, conviction, and a powerful reminder that we are never alone. Elliot James Reay says he is "itching to show everyone" his new songs after becoming a social media sensation with his music inspired by the Elvis Presley 23-year-old from Bury, Greater Manchester, has gained millions of followers and recently released his northern soul song Who Knew Dancing Was A follows gigs "all over the world - just getting my face in front of everyone which was fun", he told BBC Radio Manchester. They included a tour of South East Asia and a "humbling" visit to Presley's home in Graceland after receiving an award in Memphis in the US. "It was a really eye-opening thing because I had never seen Memphis and I had my vision of it," he says."It was better than I imagined." Reay is briefly settling back home after a busy period performing to large audiences in Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia."I was doing shopping malls and showing up and thousands of people were rocking up."He's developed a fanbase drawn to his retro-inspired music and says: "I enjoy that sound and era but I feel like that, especially in South East Asia, they do a lot of karaoke and the karaoke over there is all the 1960s up to the 90s."He says his "number one thing is touring" with gigs across England in July before more shows abroad."I've got so many other songs that I'm itching to show everyone and release and obviously for my songs that are out, I just want to sing over and over and over again."I want to meet every single person that's supported me and just thank them and show some respect because they got me where I am." He is working with his team on putting out an album, having released his latest single Who Knew Dancing Was A Sin in May - inspired by his partner's parents, who are Northern Soul fans."They wanted a track written for their nights out and they said can you write us a Northern Soul style track."We gave it a go and I think we wrote two songs and Who Knew Dancing Was A Sin was a favourite."The main storyline of it was my partner thinks that I'm cheating on her but actually I'm going dancing and she's asking me who are these people, who's Jackie – we're referencing Jackie Wilson there who's probably one of the greats of the scene if you like."I think it just had an all-round good message that you can go and have a good time out dancing and you don't have to tell anyone."He says he tried to give the moves "a good crack" for the video but found it "a daunting thing because the dance is hard".But as his success soars, he finds he can switch off by playing snooker."It's quite a relaxing game. I think I've always liked it even before I was doing music as a career like this."I just get into a zone while I'm playing." On this day: man auctions Elvis memorabilia to raise hospital funds
On this day in 2015, the Telegraph and Argus reported that a man was putting his entire Elvis Presley memorabilia collection up for auction in the hope of raising hospital funds. Brian Cadamarteri, then 76, from Wyke, was moved after learning about a separate Elvis-themed charity event to raise funds for Bradford's neo-natal department. His collection included a rare album made in Germany, T-shirts, newspapers from the day Elvis died, and souvenirs from a visit to Graceland. Mr Cadamarteri said: "When we read about the Elvis night and what it was in aid of, we just wanted to help." A former Elvis tribute performer, Mr Cadamarteri used to entertain audiences in working men's clubs "from Bradford to Manchester, Scarborough to Hull," as per this paper's reporting in 2015. The Elvis-themed charity event, which prompted Mr Cadamarteri's generosity, was being organised by Linda Pearson of Rooley Lane.
