Dubai Airport Rolls Out 'Eid in Dubai' Passport Stamps
In a heartwarming and culturally rich move, Dubai International Airport is offering international travelers a unique surprise this Eid Al Adha 2025 — a limited-edition 'Eid in Dubai' passport stamp. With more than 3 million passengers expected to pass through the airport during the festive season, this small but significant gesture has turned into a standout symbol of celebration, inclusion, and tourism innovation. This initiative is more than an ink mark — it's a cultural imprint that welcomes visitors not just to a city, but to a celebration. The stamp, embellished with crescent moons and traditional lantern motifs, features the phrase 'Eid in Dubai – 2025' in both Arabic and English. It's both a souvenir and a warm message from the Emirate, reminding travelers that they are part of something special the moment they arrive. Eid in Dubai is more than just a slogan; it represents a city-wide celebration that stretches across five days — from June 15 to June 19, 2025. During this time, Dubai transforms into a vibrant festival ground, showcasing fireworks, music performances, cultural exhibits, and exclusive shopping offers. Visitors arriving during these days will find that the city doesn't just observe Eid — it elevates it. By integrating the spirit of Eid into official immigration procedures, Dubai sets a global precedent: that tradition and tourism can intersect meaningfully. For many travelers, this stamp is more than a formality — it's a conversation starter, a memento, and a reason to come back. Social media has already lit up with images of the stamp, as travelers from over 100 nationalities share their excitement. From influencers to families, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have praised the stamp not just for its design, but for what it symbolizes — a warm welcome and a respectful nod to Islamic heritage. Dubai's tourism strategy for 2025 seems to be focused on experiential travel — offering tourists not just places to see but moments to remember. The 'Eid in Dubai' stamp exemplifies this shift perfectly. It demonstrates how a small gesture, thoughtfully executed, can amplify a city's global image and enhance its emotional connection with visitors. In a year packed with international travel and competitive tourism, Dubai's initiative may inspire similar efforts in other cities. But for now, Dubai leads the way — not just in architecture, shopping, and luxury, but in cultural diplomacy that's simple, elegant, and deeply human. Whether you're flying in for Eid or just passing through, in 2025, Dubai's message is clear: you're not just a traveler — you're part of the celebration.

Eid greeting stamp issued to visitors arriving in Dubai
Visitors arriving in Dubai during the Eid Al Adha holiday are being greeted by a special welcome stamp bearing the phrase "Eid in Dubai". The motif features a unique design created by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Media Office. For public and private sector workers in the UAE, Eid Al Adha this year is marked by a long weekend. Employees have been granted leave from Thursday June 5 to Sunday June 8, with work resuming on Monday June 9. Public and private sector staff in the Emirates are typically allocated the same number of public holidays each year. What is Eid Al Adha? Eid Al Adha – which means 'festival of the sacrifice' – is the latter of the two Eid holidays celebrated across the Arab world, coming after Eid Al Fitr. Eid Al Adha commemorates how the Prophet Ibrahim was asked by God in a dream to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as a test of his faith. As with other religious holidays in the Emirates, it is a time for friends and family to gather, often over meals, and reflect on their lives and faith. Eid around the world in pictures
