In its newly released Ecosystem Report 2025, StartupBlink also named the Kingdom its 'Country of the Year' in recognition of its rapid progress. This accomplishment underscores Saudi Arabia's growing prominence on the global innovation and digital economy landscape. It highlights the impact of coordinated efforts by the National Technology Development Program and various government and private stakeholders contributing to the nation's thriving startup ecosystem. Riyadh led the way on the global city scale, posting the highest growth rate among the top 100 cities in innovation and entrepreneurship. The Saudi capital now ranks first globally in nanotechnology and transportation technologies, and second in financial technologies. The report also emphasized Saudi Arabia's strength across multiple tech sectors.
