84-year-old man dies after dog attack in Tarrant County, authorities say
An 84-year-old man died Monday following a dog attack at his home in Tarrant County, authorities said. The incident occurred on Slay Street near Ten Mile Bridge Road, just south of Eagle Mountain Lake. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Ronald Grant Anderson. He was pronounced dead just before 4:30 p.m. Monday. The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office said additional information will be released later Thursday. Body believed to be missing Azle fisherman found at Eagle Mountain Lake, authorities say
The body believed to be the missing Azle fisherman has been found at Eagle Mountain Lake, Tarrant Regional Water District said Sunday. Law enforcement officers at Eagle Mountain Lake in Tarrant County found a body on Saturday around 7 p.m., believed to be Ruben Fausone. The body was found near Pelican Island, north of the location where he was last seen, according to TRWD. Ruben Fausone's family said they last saw him Tuesday night. His wife, Amy, previously told CBS News Texas that night fishing was something he did often. Phone found at marina Amy Fausone said her husband's phone last pinged at Augie's Sunset Café and Marina — a location she said Ruben Fausone had never mentioned before. Witnesses later reported seeing Ruben talking with another man on the dock around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. She drove to the marina, where someone had found his phone on the dock. Later that afternoon, law enforcement with the TRWD found his gray and blue fishing boat on the opposite side of the lake. It was floating between two docks, undamaged and unanchored. Investigation continues The body has been transferred to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remains ongoing, TRWD said.

Search for missing Azle fisherman at Eagle Mountain Lake enters third day
Search and rescue crews are on Day 3 of looking for a missing Azle fisherman last seen at Eagle Mountain Lake. On Friday, Texas Game Wardens joined the Tarrant Regional Water District in the search for 41-year-old Ruben Fausone. CBS News Texas obtained surveillance footage showing Fausone at Augie's Sunset Café and Marina just hours before he disappeared. Timeline of disappearance Ruben Fausone, 41 Surveillance Video According to his wife, Amy Fausone, Ruben texted her around 8 p.m. Tuesday, saying he was going night fishing at the lake. Surveillance video shows him inside Augie's around 9:30 p.m., interacting with customers and playing pool. Employees said they were unsure when he left. "Around 11:45 p.m., I woke up and he still wasn't home," Amy said. She checked his location and saw his phone was still at Augie's. Witnesses later reported seeing Ruben talking with another man on the dock around 1:30 a.m. Boat found adrift, phone left behind Ruben Fausone, 41 Fausone family "Came back out and the boat was gone. Thirty minutes later, about 2 a.m., it was in the middle of the lake just floating out there. It seems fishy," said eyewitness Jeff Hunter. On Wednesday morning, Amy went to the lake and found Ruben's phone on the dock. Authorities later located his boat on the opposite side of the lake. As the search continues, Amy said her concerns are growing. "I am just hoping somebody finds him," she said.

Azle fisherman missing after night trip on Eagle Mountain Lake; boat found empty
A search is underway at Eagle Mountain Lake after a North Texas man went missing during what was supposed to be a routine night fishing trip. According to his family, 41-year-old Ruben Fausone hasn't been seen since Tuesday night. His wife, Amy, said night fishing was something he did often, which is why she's struggling to understand how his boat and phone ended up abandoned — on opposite sides of the lake. Ruben Fausone, 41 Ruben Fausone Family "He went out around 7:45," she said. "We last texted around 8:20. I woke up around 11:45 and thought, 'It's almost midnight, why isn't he home?'" Phone found at marina Amy said her husband's phone last pinged at Augie's Sunset Café and Marina — a location she said Ruben had never mentioned before. With no word from him and worsening weather the next morning, panic set in. "I'm just hoping somebody finds him," she said. She drove to the marina, where someone had found his phone on the dock. Later that afternoon, law enforcement with the Tarrant Regional Water District — now leading the investigation — located his gray and blue fishing boat on the opposite side of the lake. It was floating between two docks, undamaged and unanchored. Witness recalls late-night sighting "The stories are like, he got into his boat and left, and they saw it just drifting in the water at one point," Amy said. Jeff Hunter, who lives nearby, said he saw Ruben speaking with another man on the dock late Tuesday night. Around 2 a.m., he spotted Ruben's boat in the middle of the lake. "On the weekends? Yeah, you might see that," Hunter said. "But a weekday? It's very odd." Amy said her husband would never swim at night. Family pleads for help As search efforts continue, the family is pleading for help. Amy shared that Ruben was last seen wearing a bright teal shirt and hopes someone may recognize him and come forward. "Right now, I'm hoping somebody reaches out and can tell us he's OK," she said. "I just want to find him and make sure he's OK." As of Thursday afternoon, law enforcement said the search is ongoing.

3-year-old girl dies after possible drowning at Eagle Mountain Lake, officials say
A 3-year-old girl has died following a possible drowning near West Bay Marina at Eagle Mountain Lake in northwest Tarrant County, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office. Authorities were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Deputies found the child on the ground after she had been pulled from the lake. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigators are working to determine how the child entered the water. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death. CBS News Texas will provide updates as more information becomes available.
