The company is the fourth major player to receive an LoI in this EMC, which is part of the central government's EMC 2.0 scheme. Before Dixon, two other companies have recently received LOIs to set up units in the cluster. Ascent-K Circuit, a subsidiary of Amber Enterprises India Ltd, will set up a facility on 16 acres to make high-end printed circuit boards (PCBs). Aurionpro ToshiAutomatic Systems has been given five acres for making smart transit systems and industrial automation products,' said Arun Vir Singh, chief executive officer of Yeida. Yeida said that the Sector 10 EMC already got in-principle approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in April 2025 during its seventh project review committee meeting, with Havells India Ltd as the anchor unit across 50 acres. According to the LoI issued on June 20, Singh told Dixon that their proposal has been approved with the rider that the final allotment will depend on clearance from the Invest UP Empowered Committee and compliance with state policies and rules. 'Land acquisition is underway and more provisional LoIs are being issued. With Dixon's entry, we hope the Sector 10 EMC will become a major electronics manufacturing hub in north India, creating many job opportunities and attracting more investment,' said Singh. The Uttar Pradesh government and Yeida are also pushing forward with other major industrial developments in sectors near the airport. 'Amber Enterprises is set to receive 100 acres in Sector 8 for a separate electronics and home appliances unit. Together, Amber and Ascent-K Circuit are expected to invest about ₹ 4,000 crore in the region. These projects will fuel growth in this region, and create huge business opportunities,' said Singh.

YEIDA will power up ₹450 crore tech hub near Noida airport
NOIDA : Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority ( YEIDA ) has started the process to hire a consultant for designing and managing the infrastructure development of Sector 10, where a tech hub is planned at an estimated cost of over Rs 450 crore. The cluster, located near Noida International Airport , will be developed across 206 acres. A senior YEIDA official said, "This project will not only create a robust electronics hub but also generate employment at scale." The entire cluster is scheduled to be completed by Jan 31, 2028. Officials expect it to create over 11,000 direct jobs and approximately 20,000 indirect (total 31,000) jobs once fully operational. A YEIDA official said the cluster's location near the upcoming airport, the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the dedicated freight corridors makes it ideal for attracting both Indian and international companies. The main highlight of the project is the 50-acre land — out of 206 acres — allotted to Havells, the anchor unit. The company plans to invest Rs 800 crore to set up a manufacturing unit for products like fans, air conditioners, switchgear, cables and lighting equipment. The unit is expected to be ready by 2026 and will provide jobs to over 1,000 people in the first phase. The Centre has approved Rs 144 crore for the project under the electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC 2.0) scheme, while YEIDA will contribute over Rs 340 crore. The Centre had approved the EMC 2.0 last month, with Havells as the anchor unit. YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said the Centre's approval is a big boost for the state's goal of becoming an electronics hub. Vir Singh said, "Now that the Centre has approved the project, we will allot land to Havells and begin work on developing the rest of the cluster. We believe this will attract several electronics component makers and supporting units." Besides Havells' 50-acre plot, the cluster will feature 66 other plots spread over 106 acres. Sixty-six other plots, spread over 106 acres, include 32 plots of 1,000 sqm, 18 plots of 2,100 sqm, six plots of 8,094 sqm and two each of 1,760 sqm, 3,300 sqm, and 15,176 sqm. Additionally, one plot each of 14,164 sqm, 20,234 sqm, and 32,375 sqm will be offered. The cluster has been meticulously planned. Of the total 206 acres, 39 acres have been earmarked for essential infrastructure, including roads, green belts and utilities. The remaining land will be used for industrial development.

Yeida to rope in consultant for Electronics Manufacturing Cluster
GREATER NOIDA: Following the Centre's approval of an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) project anchored by Havells, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has started the process of hiring a consultant to design and oversee infrastructure development in Sector 10, officials said on Sunday, adding that the project, estimated to cost ₹484 crore, will be spread over 206 acres near the Noida International Airport. Under the EMC 2.0 scheme of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Centre has sanctioned ₹144 crore for the cluster while Yeida will contribute the rest of ₹340 crore. The project is expected to complete by January 31, 2028. Yeida chief executive officer Arun Vir Singh said, 'The Centre's approval is a major step toward making Uttar Pradesh an electronics manufacturing hub. This cluster will boost local employment and attract component makers and allied industries.' Havells, an Indian multi-national electrical equipment manufacturing firm, the anchor investor, has been allotted 50 acres of land and it plans to invest ₹800 crore to set up a manufacturing unit for fans, air conditioners, switchgear, cables, and lighting equipment. The unit is expected to be operational by 2026 and provide over 1,000 direct jobs in the first phase. To be sure, the cluster will include 66 other industrial plots, in addition to Havells' land. These plots, spread over 106 acres, range from 1,000 to 32,375 square metres (sqms) in size. Two large plots, including one measuring 44,515 sqm, have been set aside for the flatted factory complex, which will house 176 plug-and-play industrial units. These ready-to-move-in units are aimed at attracting startups and smaller enterprises looking for cost-effective manufacturing spaces. Yeida officials said the project has been meticulously planned. About 39 acres are reserved for infrastructure, including internal roads, green belts, electrical lines, water supply, drainage, a boundary wall, and civic amenities like a hostel block, commercial centre, convention centre, and a skill development hub. To move forward, Yeida has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to appoint a Design Development and Project Management Consultant (DDPMC). The selected consultant will prepare the detailed project report (DPR), float tenders, and supervise construction. The deadline for submission is June 10, with the appointment expected in July.
