$50K offered for one of Canada's most wanted suspected in 2024 Montreal murder

The Montreal police (SPVM) and federal Bolo program are upping the award money for one of Canada's most wanted fugitives. Up to $50,000 is being offered to anyone with information on the location of 28-year-old Dylan Denis. Denis is suspected in the May 14, 2024 shooting death of a 27-year-old man on Parc Avenue in Montreal's Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough. It was the 11th homicide of 2024 in Montreal. (Cosmo Santamaria/CTV News) The SPVM's major crimes unit arrested two suspects in relation to the case, and Denis is still at large. He is listed as one of Canada's 25 most wanted fugitives. The $50,000 reward replaces the $10,000 award that was initially offered by Sun Youth. 'We are grateful for this initiative by the Bolo Program to help the SPVM find Dylan Denis, who has been wanted for just over a year,' said major crimes section chief Mélanie Dupont. 'We are convinced that there are citizens who have information that would be very useful to our criminal investigation aimed at arresting him.' Denis speaks French, is 5′6″ (1.7 metres) and weighs around 170 pounds (77 kilograms). He has multiple tattoos, including one on his neck that says: 'CRIME PAY$.' 'Dylan Denis has been on the run for over a year now, and this must stop,' said Bolo Program executive director Maxime Langlois. 'Today, the Bolo Program, in collaboration with its partners, is deploying several measures, including a reward and an advertising campaign, to encourage citizens to be on the lookout for Denis.' Anyone with information on Denis is asked to call 911 or visit a local police station.

Reward for tip leading to arrest of Montreal murder suspect jumps to $50,000

A fugitive wanted in connection with a 2024 homicide committed in Montreal's Ahuntsic district has seen the reward for his arrest jump from $10,000 to $50,000. Police allege Dylan Denis, one of the most wanted men in Canada, was involved in a murder committed May 14, 2024. On that day at about 8:20 p.m., 911 received a report of gunshots and of the presence of an unconscious man on Parc Ave. near Legendre St. in the borough of Ahuntsic–Cartierville. The suspects fled the scene in a car prior to the arrival of police. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. Two other suspects have been arrested since the killing. Over the course of the coming weeks, the Bolo (Be On the LookOut for) program will launch a publicity campaign featuring Denis's picture and description on social and conventional media platforms. Denis, 28, is a white francophone about 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo across his neck that reads CRIME PAY$. His arms, hands, back and torso are also tattooed. Anyone with information about Denis's whereabouts is urged to call 911 or their local police.
