Wall Street is on pace for a higher open this morning as investors await President Donald Trump's decision on direct U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict. Oil futures gave up earlier gains, while natural gas hit its highest level since early April. Fed Governor Christopher Waller said the central bank could cut rates as early as July. 2. Club name Home Depot has submitted a bid to acquire building products and solutions provider GMS Inc , The Wall Street Journal reported . This follows a $5 billion offer from QXO on Wednesday. It's unclear what Home Depot offered. We aren't fans of bidding wars. 3. Google is using YouTube videos to train its AI models, CNBC reported , showing how tech giants are leveraging their own platforms to gain model-building advantages. Consider: Meta has social media data. Alphabet has Google Search and YouTube. Amazon has shopping and Alexa data. Apple has phone usage data, but we still need to see more from them. We own Meta, Amazon and Apple for the Club. 4. Meta is also using its wallet to gain an AI talent edge. After poaching Scale AI's Alexandr Wang , the Instagram owner is planning to hire Safe Superintelligence CEO Daniel Gross and former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, CNBC reported . That comes after Ilya Sutskever, OpenAI co-founder, rejected Meta's attempt to acquire Safe Superintelligence earlier this year. 5. SoftBank's Masayoshi Son is looking to partner with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to build a $1 trillion AI and robotics factory in Arizona, Bloomberg News reported . TSMC is already building its chipmaking campus in the state. 6. Sticking with robotics: Club name Nvidia and Foxconn are in discussions about deploying humanoid robots at the contract manufacturer's factory in Houston that's set to produce Nvidia AI servers, Reuters reported . 7. Club name Dover acquired a German maker of hygienic pumps called IPP and is folding it into the company's Pumps & Process Solutions segment. The acquisition expands Dover's presence in industries including food and beverage and pharmaceuticals. Dover also made a deal last month for Sikora. 8. Club name Eli Lilly said the launch of Mounjaro in India has been "positive" since it began in March, Reuters reported . Sales of the diabetes and weight-loss drug appear to have increased 60% from April to May, the report noted, citing data from PharmaTrac. 9. Shares of Olive Garden owner Darden rose more than 2% this morning after the restaurant operator's fourth-quarter sales and earnings edged out estimates. Earnings guidance for its fiscal 2026 looks a bit short, while same-store-sales guidance appears to be in line with expectations. 10. Morgan Stanley said it is "tactically bullish" on Micron into its earnings report next week due to an acceleration in AI spending. Still, analysts kept their hold-equivalent rating on the chip stock, which has soared nearly 90% from its tariff-driven low in early April. Wedbush lifted its price target on buy-rated Micron to $150 a share from $130, citing positive pricing trends. Three men have been convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl repeatedly over three days after they lured her from an Asda car park. Kevin Horvath and Ivan Turtak spotted the youngster in Dover on August 11, 2024 and encouraged her to get in their car. She was then given drugs, including crystal meth and amphetamine, and was passed between the two men and a third defendant, Ernest Gunar junior, who repeatedly raped her and subjected her to sexual acts. The girl was taken out in public by the trio, who told her she would be killed if she tried to talk to anyone or tried to run away. She was able to escape from them after she woke up before them on 13 August and was found by police in Dover. Her phone had been taken from her and was later found in Horvath's car. Catherine Wear from the Crown Prosecution Service said: 'The three defendants took a 12-year-old from the street, took full advantage of her, plying her with drugs and using her for their own horrendous gratification. 'None of us can underestimate the impact this has had on her. When she was first found by police, she was unable to tell them what she had been put through, as she was so scared, and the details only came out gradually after that. 'Thanks to her courage in detailing what happened to her, despite the obvious distress that caused her, these three dangerous men have now been brought to justice for the appalling and callous crimes they committed against her. 'We hope these verdicts bring some small comfort to her as she starts to rebuild her life.'

Trio GUILTY of drugging and raping girl, 12, in three-day horror ordeal after luring her into car at Asda
THREE predators have been found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl in a three-day ordeal after luring her into a car at Asda. Ivan Turtak, 38, Kevin Horvath, 25, and Ernest Gunar, 27, passed the young girl around "like a receptacle" for their sexual pleasure. 3 The "complete strangers" had "targeted and exploited" the victim after spotting her alone in the supermarket car park. All three have been been convicted of raping a child under 13 and a number of other offences. Canterbury Crown Court heard they struck on August 11, 2024, by persuading her to get in Horvath's car with the promise of a cigarette. The evil trio then drove her to Turtak's flat in Dover before she was taken to Gunar's caravan in Folkestone. Once there, the girl was plied with drugs - including crystal meth - and subjected to rape and other sexual acts. Threats to kill her were made if she tried to leave or raise the alarm and a photo of her standing naked in a bathtub was also taken. The horror only came to an end when the schoolgirl made a daring escape out of a window. She was found wearing different clothes by police three days after she was taken. At first, she did not reveal the abuse and claimed she had changed into clothes she found by the side of the road. However, she later gave varied accounts to both her family, police, and in a diary entry that included being attacked in a park and being abducted. Prosecutor Hannah Llewellyn-Waters said that while the accounts differed, the central part of her allegations still ran true - that the trio targeted her and gave her drugs to make her compliant for their sexual desires. She added: "We say that she was passed around and treated effectively as a receptacle for their own sexual gratification, and the defendants' conduct, in the Crown's case, was callous, degrading, and it was entirely exploitative." Horvath was convicted of sexual assault of a child under 13 after previously admitting three counts of rape and assault by penetration. Turtak was found guilty or raping a child under 13, having admitted taking indecent photos of a child. Gunar was convicted of two charges of rape of a child under 13 after he previously pleaded guilty to one charge of rape of a child under 13. Catherine Wear from the Crown Prosecution Service said: 'The three defendants took a 12-year-old from the street, took full advantage of her, plying her with drugs and using her for their own horrendous gratification. Tuscarawas YMCA scholarships help students pursue college dreams
DOVER — Eight students have been awarded scholarships from the Tuscarawas County YMCA for the 2025-26 school year, totaling $13,250. The first-year recipients are Jaycie Baker, Leah Hamilton, Katelynn Markle, Sierra Minard, Madeline Smith and Jonathan Snyder, according to an announcement. Baker is a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and will attend Ohio University, majoring in social work. Hamilton graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School and will attend the University of Findlay, majoring in animal sciences/pre-vet. Markle, also a Tuscarawas Valley graduate, will attend Walsh University, majoring in exercise science. Minard graduated from Strasburg High School and will attend National Beauty College, majoring in cosmetology. Smith is a Garaway High School graduate and will attend Miami University, majoring in biology/pre-med. Snyder graduated from Dover High School and will attend Kent State University-Tuscarawas, majoring in early childhood education. Audrey Kinsey and Nathan Pugh were awarded second-year scholarships. Kinsey, a student at Kent State University-Tuscarawas, is majoring in integrated social studies. Pugh, also a Kent State University-Tuscarawas student, is majoring in marketing/business. The Thomas J. Patton Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by Robert "Fizz" Miller to honor Patton's more than 40 years of service to the community through his work and leadership at the YMCA.
