In ‘Ironheart,' Dominique Thorne Suits Up for the Spotlight
It isn't a hard question: Where do you live? But Dominique Thorne, the 27-year-old star of Marvel's new 'Ironheart' mini-series, needed a moment to answer because, well, honestly, she wasn't sure. She had just gotten back from two weeks in Japan. Before that, she spent seven months in Thailand, where she 'ate my way across the country.' ('As a pescatarian, it was like a dream come true,' she said.) And now she was about to embark on a press tour to promote the six-part 'Ironheart,' premiering Tuesday on Disney+, in which she reprises the role of Riri Williams, the brilliant young inventor and M.I.T. student from the 2022 movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.' That tour will take her from New York, where she was born, to Los Angeles, where she holed up for a few months during the pandemic, to Atlanta, where parts of the show were filmed and where her parents and two younger brothers live. 'I'm at the point where I'm thinking now about where I want to settle down,' she said on a Monday afternoon last month, her big brown eyes sparkling as she settled in to a velour couch in the lobby of the Hotel Chelsea, in Manhattan. (For now, her mailing address is in New York.) She pulled an oversize Malcolm X sweatshirt over a sleeveless white top and green cargo pants. Her purple ombré nails glinted in the sunlight streaming in from the adjoining solarium as she reached for a cup of tea. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

Marvel's 'Ironheart': Release Date and How to Watch
When Black Panther: Wakanda Forever came out in fall 2022, the Ryan Coogler-directed film introduced Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a teenage MIT student whose brilliance created a vibranium detector. Now, the character is debuting in her own streaming TV show: Ironheart. Pulled from Marvel's comic books, the young inventor possesses genius-level intelligence and found Tony Stark an inspiration. Riri's gift for robotics led her to make an armored suit that's been compared to Iron Man's, and they both were driven to serve mankind. The show sees her return to Chicago after the events of Wakanda Forever (where she helped battle Namor alongside Shuri), and viewers will see her tech take on magic when The Hood (played by Anthony Ramos) arrives on the scene in the upcoming new series. In addition to Thorne and Ramos, the cast also features Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Anji White, Regan Aliyah, and Manny Montana. Coogler and Kevin Feige are among the series' executive producers. Get the details below on when to watch all six episodes of Ironheart. Robert Downey Jr. Makes Video Shoutout to Dominique Thorne Expressing His Support - "Iron Man Loves Ironheart" — GeekTyrant
The Marvel series Ironheart hits Disney+ next week, and stars Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos made an appearance on Good Morning America to promote the show. While talking about the story and their characters, Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, and Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, the show's host offered the guests a video surprise. Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr., who is currently in London shooting Avengers: Doomsday , appeared in the video sporting a Pinewood Studios hat, and he started off by throwing Ironheart some love, saying, "Miss Thorne, I couldn't be happier than seeing you bringing Riri Williams to life." He went on to jokingly express reservations about Ramos's Hood, saying, "But the Hood has me nervous. Is the hood green? Please tell me Mr. Ramos is not replacing me as Doctor Doom via Parker Robbins?" The former Iron Man actor ended the message with heart with his hands, telling Thorne, "Iron Man loves Ironheart." Thorne replied, "Ironheart loves Iron Man too," and gushed about the support that Downey Jr. has thrown her way in recent months, saying, "He has been so supportive. It's really been amazing. Shortly after we finished filming in Chicago is when I got the first phone call from him, and he has been so sweet, like, through and through. So the support, it means so much. It really does." Ironheart is set to debut on Disney+ on June 24th, with the first three episodes dropping that day, and the final three episodes releasing weekly after that. Check out the video below, and let us know if you're going to be tuning in.

New "Armor On. Schedule Packed." Promo Spot for IRONHEART - Will This Be a Hit or Miss for Marvel? — GeekTyrant
Marvel has released a new promo spot for it's upcoming Ironheart series, and it offers a bit of new footage as it takes us though the busy schedule of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne). I can see the potential for this series with the whole tech and magic element to the story. There's a really cool story to tell with that, the question is… will Ironheart do a great job telling that story!? I hope so, but judging from the reactions I've been seeing on social media, it doesn't seem like fans have a lot of cofidence that this show will deliver the goods. The synopsis reads: 'Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , Marvel Television's Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago.' 'Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos).' The cast of Ironheart also includes Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler all serve as executive producers on Ironheart , while Chinaka Hodge is the head writer. Episodes are directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. The first three episodes of Ironheart will all be released together. They will hit Disney+ on June 24, 2025. There are a total of six epsiodes. Do you think Ironheart will be a hit or a miss for Marvel?
