NBA Reacts to New Video of Tyrese Haliburton on Monday

NBA Reacts to New Video of Tyrese Haliburton on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Pacers earned their place in the NBA Finals by dispatching the New York Knicks in six games in the Eastern Conference finals, and then advancing past both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks in five games apiece during earlier rounds. Advertisement A huge reason for their playoff success has been Tyrese Haliburton, the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, who was traded to Indiana for Domantas Sabonis. The former Iowa State Cyclone has had an impressive postseason run, averaging 18.6 points per game on 47.3 percent shooting from the field along with 9.3 assists per game. Haliburton nailed a flawless 22 seconds of consecutive makes and the clip was widely shared across social media with the caption, 'HALIBURTON CAN'T MISS IN WARMUPS 🔥, 22 seconds of consecutive makes from the Pacers star: mesmerizing.' Throughout this postseason, Haliburton has etched his name into Pacers history by sinking four critical game-altering shots. Advertisement In one instance, he drove past the defense for a lay-up with just 1.3 seconds left to secure a narrow victory against the Milwaukee Bucks, erasing a late deficit. Another unforgettable moment came with his buzzer-beating step-back three-pointer against the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the game. His deep two-pointer in a heated battle against the New York Knicks forced overtime and set the stage for an improbable comeback, and most recently, a 21-foot pull-up jumper with 0.3 seconds remaining clinched a Game 1 win in the NBA Finals against the Thunder. Kings, Knicks Predicted to Swap Stars in Blockbuster Offseason Trade

Kings, Knicks Predicted to Swap Stars in Blockbuster Offseason Trade originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It was a disappointing season for the Sacramento Kings as they finished ninth in the Western Conference and failed to make the playoffs after losing to the Dallas Mavericks in the Play-In Tournament. Advertisement Now the Kings face some key decisions to begin the offseason regarding their roster as they try to rebound from a season full of change. Of course, Sacramento already made some major moves by hiring a new general manager and officially naming Doug Christie as their head coach. Now their attention shifts to their roster, primarily their star trio of Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. With this in mind, Sports Illustrated's Will Zimmerle recently proposed a mock trade that would see the Kings and New York Knicks swap their star centers. Advertisement In the trade, Zimmerle has Sacramento sending Sabonis, Devin Carter and a the Minnesota Timberwolves 2031 first-round pick to New York in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns. This would be an interesting move for both teams, especially the Kings as they would send away one of their star players and potentially their point guard of the future to add Towns. New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony TownsTrevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images Of course, Towns is a great offensive center and he is also a great defender, but he struggles on the defensive end, which was seen during New York's playoff run. Because of this, Sacramento may be better off just keeping Sabonis who is an elite rebounder and has also been a great scorer for them during his time with the franchise. Advertisement The Kings would also have to give up Carter who showed flashes during his rookie season of eventually becoming Sacramento's new point guard after they traded De'Aaron Fox at the trade deadline. The NBA All-Star Game is finally making the global change it desperately needed

The NBA All-Star Game is finally making the global change it desperately needed Show Caption Hide Caption Kings' Domantas Sabonis supports changing the NBA All-Star Game to Team USA vs. Team World Sacramento Kings big man Domantas Sabonis is a Lithuanian-American basketball player. He has made three NBA All-Star appearances and he would support changing the format of the game. Basketball fans received some good news about the NBA All-Star Game from commissioner Adam Silver, and they should feel very excited. During an appearance on FS1 on Wednesday morning, Silver was asked about plans for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. He has made several changes to the format of the game since taking over as commissioner, including a change that he admitted was a "miss" last season. Fortunately, the next change that Silver is planning is one that should have been made a long time ago. After the tremendous success of the NHL's 4 Nations Face-Off, it sounds like the next NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome will feature USA vs. the World. More: The NBA made the All-Star Game about everything but its All-Stars While some stars like Nikola Jokić have maintained that the league should not worry about fixing the NBA All-Star Game, others like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Domantas Sabonis have suggested an international format as well. Silver heard them and is planning to implement the suggestion as soon as next season. More: The NBA's superstars have officially cooked the All-Star game Here is more from Silver: "Next, as part of our new media deals, the All-Star Game returns to NBC ... It so happens that next season will be smack in the middle of the winter Olympics. So the game will be on NBC and the very day we're on will be the lead-in winter Olympic events and coming out of the All-Star Game, which will now be in the afternoon instead of the evening, there will be more Olympic events. So what better time to feature some form of USA against the World." Silver confirmed that he is not sure what the format will be quite yet, but that he paid a lot off attention to what the NHL did earlier this year. While this was arguably long overdue, it gives the players some extra reason to put a pep in their step for some competitiveness when they take the court to put on an exciting show for the exhibition.
