Sabrina Carpenter Reaches A New Career Peak With Her Latest Bestseller

Sabrina Carpenter's 'Manchild' debuts at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs charts, while she ... More hits a career-high No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales list. MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - AUGUST 24: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS. (Photo by Hector Vivas/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management) 'Manchild' by Sabrina Carpenter is already one of the biggest hits of 2025, and it earns that distinction as it enjoys a high-profile entrance on numerous Billboard charts. The tune, which introduces the singer's upcoming album Man's Best Friend, debuts inside the top five on most of the tallies it appears on, and the cut even starts at No. 1 on several charts. The new release even brings Carpenter to a new career high on one particularly competitive list. Sabrina Carpenter's New Single Opens at No. 3 Carpenter's latest single opens at No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Luminate reports that in its first full tracking frame, 'Manchild' sold just under 5,600 copies — a fairly healthy sum in today's streaming-focused music industry. Sabrina Carpenter's New Career High That No. 3 placement now stands as Carpenter's career-best showing on the Digital Song Sales tally. Until this week, she had only appeared inside the top five with one track. 'Taste,' a single from her most recent full-length Short n' Sweet, debuted in that region in September 2024, stalling at No. 5. In addition to 'Manchild' and 'Taste,' Carpenter has also cracked the top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart with two other tracks, 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please.' Those singles from Short n' Sweet also spent time inside the competitive region, as 'Espresso' peaked at No. 6 in June 2024, while 'Please Please Please' climbed as high as No. 7 during the same frame. Sabrina Carpenter Follows Only Oliver Anthony Music Carpenter earns the second-highest debut this week on the Digital Song Sales tally, and she is edged out only by 'Scornful Woman,' the latest release from Oliver Anthony Music. That track opens in the runner-up spot, beating Carpenter's latest by roughly 200 copies. The list is once again led by 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren, which remains one of the breakout smashes of 2025. 'Manchild' Launches at No. 1 A healthy sales figure helps 'Manchild' debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It earns Carpenter her second champion and fourth top 10 on the tally of the most consumed songs in the U.S., which also factors in streaming activity. Plays on Spotify, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, Tidal and other sites also played a major role in the tune's immediate success, as the track launches at No. 1 on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart. Radio support contributes to a song's placement on the Hot 100 as well, and while 'Manchild' earns notable debuts on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay rankings, it misses the Radio Songs chart for now.

Morgan Wallen's New No. 1 Song: An Odd Journey To Becoming A Bestseller

Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae's 'What I Want' hits a new high at No. 9 on the Digital Song Sales ... More chart weeks after topping the Hot 100. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MAY 15: Morgan Wallen attends the 2022 Billboard Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 15, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor MRC) Morgan Wallen collected another No. 1 on the Hot 100 just a few weeks back with "What I Want," the latest single from his gargantuan album I'm the Problem. The tune debuted atop the competitive list at the same time that the full-length opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The track earned featured pop singer Tate McRae her first leader on the ranking as it debuted. "What I Want" quickly stepped down on the Hot 100, but it has been steadily gaining ground on another list — one where its ascent is a bit surprising. This week, "What I Want" lifts one spot on the Digital Song Sales chart. The cut climbs from No. 10 to No. 9, reaching a new all-time peak on Billboard's list of the top-selling tunes throughout the U.S. The Wallen/McRae team-up has experienced something of an unusual journey on the Digital Song Sales chart. Typically these days, when a major musician drops a new track, its first week turns out to be its most important when it comes to pure purchases. After enjoying a full tracking period, that's usually when it debuts in a lofty position on the Digital Song Sales tally — then often drops from there, unless it turns out to be a sustained smash. That's not what has happened with "What I Want." The single completely missed the Digital Song Sales chart the week it arrived on other Billboard rankings. When I'm the Problem first ruled, it was surprising to see the No. 1 song on the Hot 100 completely miss the 25-spot sales tally, but its quick adoption at radio and huge streaming numbers powered it to the summit. Last week, when it declined to the runner-up space on the Hot 100 – making room for 'Ordinary' by Alex Warren to finally hit No. 1 – "What I Want" finally debuted on the Digital Song Sales chart at No. 10. It's uncommon for the biggest track in America to not even rank as one of the 25 bestselling compositions in a given frame, but less odd for the No. 2 tune to sell the tenth-most copies of any track in the country. Interestingly, sales of "What I Want" are not increasing. It seems a relative lack of competition is to thank for the track's ascent. In the past tracking period, Luminate reports that the collaboration sold a little more than 2,100 copies. That's actually down 15% from the period before, when it managed 2,500.

Kelly Clarkson's New Single Jumps Nearly 300% In Sales

Kelly Clarkson's 'Where Have You Been?' rebounds to No. 10 on Digital Song Sales after The Voice ... More performance, with purchases climbing nearly 300% in just days. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 22: Kelly Clarkson is seen performing during NBC's "Today" show Citi Concert Series at Rockefeller Plaza on September 22, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by Gilbert Carrasquillo/GC Images) Kelly Clarkson surprised and delighted fans earlier this month with a brand new single, "Where Have You Been?" which dropped on May 2. That tune came with little warning, and while it's not entirely clear if she has plans to produce another album anytime soon, any new work from the superstar is always welcome by her followers. While it hasn't become an unqualified smash — the kind she has scored multiple times throughout her lengthy and storied career — "Where Have You Been?" was an instant bestseller. Now, following a high-profile TV performance, the track has become a top performer again on a Billboard tally. "Where Have You Been" returns to one ranking in America this week. The single reenters the Digital Song Sales tally, the list of the top-selling tracks in the country, and it manages to reappear in the highest space. Clarkson lands at No. 10 this frame after not appearing anywhere on the 25-spot roster just a few days ago. Luminate reports that in the past tracking period, "Where Have You Been" sold a little over 2,700 copies. That's up a whopping 289% from the prior frame, when it managed just 700 sales — an increase of almost exactly 2,000 purchases in the span of only a matter of days. While Clarkson got her start on American Idol, she has since become a fixture on The Voice, another popular singing reality series. The Grammy winner performed the track on an episode of The Voice earlier this month, and that appearance seems to have had a significant positive effect on sales. Clarkson was a judge on The Voice starting with season 14 in 2018. She remained on the program for eight consecutive stints, then stepped away for a short time before returning for season 22.

Lizzo's New Single Finally Becomes A Hit, With Some Help From A Major Pop Star

Lizzo's 'Still Bad' debuts at No. 11 on Digital Song Sales after a duet with Kelly Clarkson, marking ... More her first chart hit in over a year. ROSKILDE, DENMARK - JULY 01: Lizzo performs at Roskilde Festival 2023 on July 01, 2023 in Roskilde, Denmark. (Photo by Joseph Okpako/WireImage) It's been well over two months since Lizzo released her most recent single, "Still Bad." The track was a commercial disappointment in its earliest days, as the singer, songwriter and rapper was surely hoping it would become a major hit and kick off her latest album campaign, as she's currently hyping the world for her forthcoming Love in Real Life. But sadly, that didn't turn out to be the case. Long after the tune was shared with the public, it finally becomes a bestseller in America, thanks to an assist from another one of the most successful women in pop music. "Still Bad" debuts at No. 11 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart this week. That tally ranks the bestselling cuts on platforms like iTunes and Amazon, and this time around, that includes Lizzo's most recent offering. Luminate reports that in the past tracking period, "Still Bad" sold just under 2,700 copies. "Still Bad" may be new to the Digital Song Sales chart, but as mentioned, it's not actually very new as far as pop music goes. Lizzo's cut experiences a 286% gain in pure purchases from one frame to the next. Just days ago, it ended a tracking period with 700 sales — and the following stint, it adds about 2,000 to that sum. "Still Bad" experiences such a boom after Kelly Clarkson invited Lizzo onto her daytime talk show to perform the tune. The singers turned it into a duet earlier this month, but it's Lizzo who enjoys the spoils on the Billboard rankings, as Clarkson doesn't earn credit on the cut. "Still Bad" earns Lizzo her twelfth placement on the Digital Song Sales tally, and her first since 2023. In August of that year, "Pink," the song she wrote and recorded for the Barbie soundtrack, peaked at No. 22. "Still Bad" has already been present on one Billboard ranking for more than two months. This frame, it drops seven spaces to No. 37 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart in its tenth stay on that radio roster. The tune previously peaked at No. 21.

Ed Sheeran's New Single Is Experiencing An Odd Chart Run

Ed Sheeran's "Old Phone" debuts at No. 25 on the Digital Song Sales chart, marking a slow start in ... More the U.S. and a quick fall from the Hot 100. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 04: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Ed Sheeran attends the 66th GRAMMY Awards at Arena on February 04, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) Ed Sheeran typically scores a hit whenever he drops a new single in the United States and promotes it with all his might. The English singer-songwriter remains one of the most successful artists in the pop space over the past decade or two, and his discography is already filled with well-known tunes — more than most musicians manage across an entire career. Sheeran's current era is proving to be less successful than his past ones, and his most recent single is struggling on the Billboard rankings. Sheeran recently released "Old Phone" as the second single from his upcoming album Play. The tune dropped in early May and has not earned a stellar reception in the U.S. Last week, it opened on several Billboard tallies, and while it disappears from some this frame, it manages to debut on another — but only barely. This week, "Old Phone" enters the Digital Song Sales chart, narrowly finding space on the list of the top-selling tunes in the country. It lands at No. 25, in last place. Luminate reports that the track sold just 1,700 copies. Interestingly, "Old Phone" debuts on the Digital Song Sales chart a week after it reached other lists, such as the Hot 100. Typically, a new tune by a pop star starts with what may turn out to be its largest sales sum, as that's when fans are most excited to head to platforms like iTunes and Amazon to purchase the cut. "Old Phone" performed better last week in the U.S. than it did during its second frame when it comes to sales, as pure purchases dropped by 3.5%. The tally was busier last time around, which meant there wasn't room for Sheeran's latest. As "Old Phone" arrives on the Digital Song Sales chart, it concurrently falls away from the Hot 100. The single debuted at No. 89 last week, which may turn out to be its peak. After just one stay on the list of the most popular tunes in America, it has vanished. "Old Phone" may be gone from the Hot 100, but its predecessor is still present. "Azizam" dips to No. 54 in its sixth frame on the ranking. Radio is largely keeping that tune afloat, as it appears inside the top 10 on two of Billboard's pop radio lists and approaches that highest tier on another. It can also be found on the all-genre Radio Songs tally, as DJs are usually keen to keep Sheeran's music in rotation due to the large audience for his work.
