We're on the cusp of seeing what Hideo Kojima has in store for us in Death Stranding 2. The trailers so far promise a grander and even more unpredictable experience with one-of-a-kind characters and gameplay like nothing else. Like any good porter, you need to make sure you're fully prepared before heading out on this trek. We're not talking about balancing your weight or putting on fresh shoes, but preloading the game so you can set out as soon as the game unlocks. Death Stranding 2 looks like it will have some of the best graphics on PS5, which means it is a chunky file to download. Here's all the preload information you need, including the release date, file size, and more. Death Stranding 2 release date Death Stranding 2 will come out on June 26, but those who preorder the Digital Deluxe or Collector's Edition can start two days early on June 24. Recommended Videos Death Stranding 2 file size A game as big and visually impressive as Death Stranding 2 is going to take up a good bit of hard drive space. According to PlayStation Game Size, which accurately reports game sizes prior to launch, Death Stranding 2 will take up 91.476 GB. If you don't have any expanded storage on your PS5, this could be more than you have available if you keep a handful of games downloaded. If you need to make room, now's the time. Death Stranding 2 preload options As of June 17, anyone who preordered Death Stranding 2 can start the preload process. It doesn't matter which edition of the game you have, so long as you preorder at all. Those who preordered an edition with early access don't get early preload times. Death Stranding 2 preorder details If you don't have your copy of Death Stranding 2 preordered yet and want to have preload access or play the game two days early, there's still time to preorder via the PlayStation Store. Summer Game Fest 2025 introduces a first look at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, revealing new crossover characters and a new map. Summer Game Fest 2025 introduces a first look at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, revealing new crossover characters and new map. The teaser shows off the classic Sonic characters in their classic racing vehicles. However, the big reveal is that Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, and Joker from Persona 5 are joining the frey. Worlds collide from their respective games and worlds! Japanese video game director, producer, and designer, Takashi Iizuka, also revealed that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will launch with online crossplay, so friends can play together. Iizuka jabbed at Mario Kart World, not having this feature on the new Nintendo Switch 2. The biggest hype that it ends on is the new Minecraft collab map. It showed an Ender dragon flying through the racing map. For now, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be coming out on all platforms, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, on September 25, 2025. With over 70 Gadgets to choose from, there are countless ways to customize your approach to each race. Whether it's boosting your speed or carrying more items, each combination of Gadgets allows for a different playstyle, so players can strategize how they want to beat the competition and be the first to cross the finish line! Plus, the fan-favorite Extreme Gear hoverboards from Sonic Riders are back and better than ever, amping up the high-speed fun and vehicle choices. Players can customize their rides inside and out by mixing and matching parts, powers, and abilities. This means players can create tailor-made rides. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds not only transports players to tracks inspired by classic Sonic stages, but also introduces the all-new Travel Rings mechanic, whisking players away across land, sea, air, time, and even space mid-race! The twist is that whoever is in the lead gets to pick which world everyone gets transported to during the second lap, so no two races are ever quite the same. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is racing onto consoles, releasing in both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions. Grab the Digital Deluxe edition to jump into the race three days early and expand your rosters with even more racers, including characters from the hit Netflix series Sonic Prime. Plus, the Digital Deluxe edition includes the Season Pass, which is packed with bonus characters, vehicles, and new tracks inspired by other worlds and franchises.
