Get to know... Aastha Gill

Currently, I am: Working on new music. There's more to my music than party tracks. High point in life: When Badshah told me he believed I could be a big pop star. I didn't have the guts to dream that big. Low point in life: After my song DJ Wale Babu, I felt lost and clueless. It took me about three years to figure out what my next release should be. On my playlist: Die With A Smile, by Bruno Mars; Love Ya, by Diljit Dosanjh; Bachke Bachke, by Karan Aujla; and my own release, Paapi. One thing I would never buy: Flowers for myself. I'd rather have someone gift them to me. Today I'm craving: Home-cooked food. Last thing I ordered online: Marvis toothpaste. I saw a Victoria's Secret model use it, and it is really good. App I check before going to bed: Call of Duty. I play a bit before I sleep. Advice I'd give my 18-year-old self: Enjoy whatever you're doing. There's plenty of time later to worry about stress and responsibilities, so chill and live in the moment. My favourite subject in school: Art. My art teacher believed I'd become a painter. My secret skill: Cooking! I love to do it when I am alone at home. A superpower I wish I had: Being invisible when I choose. My favourite Sunday memory: Spending time with the babies of my best friends. My plans for next Sunday: Chilling with family, cuddling my puppy Bella, and lying in bed doing nothing. My most star-struck moment: Seeing Shah Rukh Khan for the first time at an Ambani wedding. When he walked into the room, I was speechless. I couldn't take my eyes off him. My favourite bad habit: Not saying a word until I brush my teeth. I communicate in sign language until I'm ready to talk. If I could travel back or forward in time, I'd…: Skip the opportunity. I've learnt from the past and I'm excited about the future. The best thing about fame: It's not for everyone. But if you know how to handle it, you'll rock it. The worst thing about fame: It really is not for everybody. If you don't know how to handle it, it can slip right through your fingers. From HT Brunch, June 21, 2025 Follow us on

Bruno Mars joins Fortnite Festival Season 9 with exclusive tracks and outfits

Bruno Mars has officially joined Fortnite Festival Season 9 as the game's newest 'icon,' Epic Games announced on June 18, 2025. The Grammy-winning superstar's arrival follows the conclusion of Season 8, which featured Sabrina Carpenter. Launching June 19, Season 9 introduces a Bruno Mars Music Pass priced at 1,400 V-Bucks, which includes Mars-inspired outfits, exclusive Jam Tracks, and themed rewards. Two of his biggest collaborative hits—'Die With A Smile' featuring Lady Gaga and 'APT.' with BLACKPINK's ROSÉ—are available as standalone Jam Tracks, expanding the game's music collection. The 'Die With A Smile' Bruno Outfit, modeled after the song's music video, comes unlocked with the Music Pass. Players can also earn the Grammy-winning Silk Sonic track 'Leave The Door Open,' a nod to Mars' collaboration with Anderson .Paak. Additional rewards include the Last Reprise Guitar and Red Hearts Kit Drums, both inspired by Mars' music visuals. In the Fortnite Shop, the World Tour Bundle offers fans more Mars-themed content, including the Bruno-San Outfit, Bruninho Style variant, Bruno's Collection Back Bling, and Bonde do Brunão Emote. Season 9 brings new quality-of-life updates to Fortnite Festival, such as alphabetical sorting for music libraries, restored all-time leaderboards, and a new True Random music feature. Players with favorite tracks can now shuffle from a curated playlist. Content creators can monetize videos featuring Bruno Mars songs for the first seven days of Season 9, provided their YouTube and Support-A-Creator accounts are linked. Eligible tracks include 'Die With A Smile,' 'APT.,' and 'Bonde Do Brunão.' Mars joins a growing list of artists integrated into Fortnite, including The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Metallica, and Snoop Dogg—further blurring the line between music and interactive gaming experiences.

Fans left divided as Bruno Mars rumoured to headline Fortnite festival Season 9

Image via Epic Games Grammy-winning singer Bruno Mars is reportedly set to return to the Fortnite universe as the headline act for Festival Season 9. While the move marks a significant addition to the Fortnite music metaverse, not all fans are singing in harmony over the news. The leak, which surfaced via reliable Fortnite insiders @ShiinaBR and @SamLeakss, suggests that Mars will take over the Main Stage from June 18, replacing Sabrina Carpenter, whose run is scheduled to end on June 20. This marks the singer's second major appearance in the game after his 2021 debut alongside Anderson .Paak as part of the Silk Sonic set. — ShiinaBR (@ShiinaBR) According to the leakers, two new skins will accompany his return - the "Bruninho" Outfit and the "Die With A Smile" Outfit, the latter tied to his collaboration with Lady Gaga. While specific gameplay features tied to the outfits remain unknown, fans speculate they will be included in the Fortnite Festival Season 9 battle pass. Bruno Mars' return sparks debate among fans Despite Mars' popularity, the leak has sparked a wave of criticism from Fortnite's community. Many players expressed disappointment over Epic Games' decision to feature an artist who has already appeared in the game. Comments flooded social media platforms, with users calling the return 'uninspired' and mourning the loss of the previously rumoured Deadmau5 appearance. 'It not being Deadmau5 is actually criminal,' wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter), summing up the sentiments of fans hoping for fresh talent in the Festival lineup. Others were more resigned, calling it the end of 'good festival seasons.' Still, not all responses were negative. A segment of fans voiced support for Bruno Mars' return, especially those excited about the new outfits. 'Wait, I want the Die With A Smile outfit,' one user posted. Another speculated that Ariana Grande could be the next artist, keeping the door open for future surprises. As anticipation builds, Epic Games has yet to confirm the leak. However, many believe the announcement will coincide with Fortnite's next major update, v36.10, scheduled for June 18. If true, Bruno Mars could take the virtual stage as early as today, marking a new chapter in the game's evolving concert experience. For now, the Fortnite community remains in wait-and-watch mode, hoping Epic delivers a show worthy of the Festival banner - whether it's with Mars or someone entirely unexpected. Lady Gaga Sends Several Hit Singles Back To The Same Chart

Lady Gaga sits just one space away from returning to No. 1 on both of Billboard's worldwide rankings of the most popular songs on the planet. "Die With a Smile," her career-defining duet with Bruno Mars, remains a No. 2 smash months into its tenure on the two lists. That vintage-sounding composition is not the pop star's only success at the moment on the global rosters. Several other fan favorites from throughout Gaga's time as a superstar appear on the lists — and two classics even manage to return to the same tally simultaneously. A pair of Gaga's popular singles reappear together on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., the tally that ranks the most consumed songs around the world without including streaming or purchasing activity from American audiences. Its sister ranking, the Billboard Global 200, is more all-encompassing, and does feature plays and purchases from America. Gaga's A Star Is Born track "Always Remember Us This Way" is her highest reentry on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. this week, as it breaks back in at No. 185. Despite being several years old, the tune has only spent three frames on this ranking since it debuted just last month. Only a few spots further down comes "Just Dance," her collaboration with Colby O'Donis that helped launch her into the pop music stratosphere. The Grammy-nominated cut reenters at No. 198 on the 200-spot list, and it also launched on this list in May of 2025. Gaga fills eight spaces on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. this week. "Die With a Smile" holds at No. 2, and in between that cut and her returning older smashes are "Abracadabra" (No. 14), "Poker Face" (No. 76), "Judas" (No. 149), "Shallow" with Bradley Cooper (No. 161) and "Bad Romance" (No. 162). Of that bunch, "Die With a Smile," "Abracadabra," "Poker Face," and "Bad Romance" also appear on the Billboard Global 200, while the other four cuts do not.

Bruno Mars Brings His Star-Making Hits Back To The Charts

Bruno Mars's "Uptown Funk" and "Just the Way You Are" return to Billboard's global charts, joining ... More his current smashes "Die With a Smile" and "Apt." LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 03: (L-R) Bruno Mars of Silk Sonic accepts Song Of The Year for 'Leave The Door Open' onstage during the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 03, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Bruno Mars has been a global superstar for nearly two decades, and while many pop stars see their careers fade by this point – long before this point, actually – the singer-songwriter and producer is still just as hot as ever. In late 2024, he landed two of the biggest hits of his career, with "Die With a Smile" with Lady Gaga and "Apt." with Rosé. As those tunes approach their one-year anniversary on the charts, they have hardly faded. At the same time that those cuts are riding high, several of the tracks that made Mars a household name return to worldwide rankings. A pair of Mars's most famous smashes reappear on Billboard's global lists this week. Both compositions find their way back to just one roster apiece, and they do so on different tallies. "Uptown Funk," his collaboration with Mark Ronson, returns to the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. at No. 190. The tally ranks the most consumed tunes throughout the world, blending sales and streaming data, with all U.S.-based listening excluded. Over on the Billboard Global 200 — which does include U.S. plays and purchases — "Just the Way You Are" returns at No. 192. It has no need to break back onto the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., where this time around it slips just two spots to No. 179. The two worldwide favorites have experienced different journeys on the rankings they appear on. "Just the Way You Are" is the higher-peaking of the two, having previously climbed to No. 69 on the Billboard Global 200, and No. 58 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Meanwhile, "Uptown Funk" has only reached as high as No. 116 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and it's not even present on the all-encompassing roster. However, on that latter tally, "Uptown Funk" does best "Just the Way You Are," which only peaked at No. 177. That said, "Just the Way You Are" has spent more time on the Billboard Global 200 than "Uptown Funk" has on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. — more than twice as many weeks — as it seems that American consumption of Mars's breakout solo smash continues to prove incredibly important to the cut. Mars currently fills four spaces on both global rankings. "Die With a Smile" is still present at No. 2 after spending months at the summit and scoring 41 weeks on the lists. "Apt." also holds steady in third place. That tune traded spots with "Die With a Smile" for months at a time, and the two rank among the most successful cuts ever on these charts.
