Abu Dhabi's DMT expected to award Musaffah road network packages in Q3
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) of Abu Dhabi is expected to award major road infrastructure packages under the Musaffah Industrial Regional Road Network Improvements project in the third quarter of 2025. The design-build tenders for Package 1 and Package 2 were issued on 11 March with a bid submission deadline of 13 June 2025. 'The contract awards are expected in August 2025,' a source aware of the details said. He said Package 1 covers the design and build of improvements along 8th Street in the Musaffah Industrial area with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Package 2 involves the construction and completion of road works along the E30 corridor (IC04 to IC01 with completion scheduled by the third quarter of 2027. Kuwait expected to award consultancy deal for 900MW Subiya power plant expansion in Q4
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy is expected to award the consultancy services contract for the 900 megawatt (MW) Phase 4 of the Subiya Power and Water Distillation Plant project in Subiya in the third quarter of 2025, a source aware of the details said. The consultancy services tender was issued on 27 April 2025, with a bid submission deadline set for 24 June 2025. The scope of the contract is supply, installation, operation and maintenance of combined cycle gas turbine units to increase the existing plant's power generation capacity by 900 MW. 'The contract award is expected in August 2025,' the source said, adding that the project completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Kuwait expected to award consultancy contract for Nuwaiseeb power project Phase 1 in Q4
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy is expected to award the consultancy services contract for the 3,600 megawatt (MW) Phase 1 of Nuwaiseeb power plant project, located in Al-Ahmadi governorate, in the fourth quarter of 2025, a source aware of the details said. The consultancy services tender was issued on 11 May 2025, with a bid submission deadline set for 12 August 2025. The scope of the contract is supply, installation, operation and maintenance of combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) units. 'The contract award is expected in November 2025,' the source said, adding that the project completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Nuwaiseeb project will have a total power generation capacity of 7,000 MW and desalination capacity of 80 Million Imperial Gallons per Day (MIGD), according to an April 2025 report by Kuwait Times. Kuwait's MEW expected to award EPC contract for ClO2 injection unit in Q3 2025
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy is expected to award the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for a Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) Injection Unit at the North Al-Zour freshwater reservoir site in the third quarter, according to a source aware of the details. The EPC tender was released on 29 December 2024 with bid submissions due by 17 June 2025. 'The contract award is expected in September 2025, with project completion targeted for the second quarter of 2027,' the source told Zawya Projects. The scope of the project includes design, construction, supply, installation, inspection, operation, and maintenance of the injection unit. Ashgal likely to award AlKass Sports Channels Complex project in Q3 2025
Qatar Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is expected to award the design-build contract for new service buildings at the AlKass Sports Channels Complex in Doha in the third quarter of 2025, a source told Zawya Projects. The tender for the project was issued on 7 October 2024, with technical bid submissions originally due by 17 November 2024. "The bid submission deadline was extended to 20 April 2025," the source said, adding that the contract is likely to be awarded in July 2025 with a completion timeline of third quarter 2027. The project value, according to his estimates, is $50 million. In October 2024, Zawya Projects had reported that the project is expected to be awarded in March 2025.
