'Complex' demolition for three Derby houses hit by explosion

City roads closed as crews deal with fire
Several roads have been closed in Derby city centre due to a building fire. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said four crews were at the blaze in Osmaston Road. Derbyshire Police said Charnwood Street, Melbourne Street, Hartington Street and Osmaston Road were currently shut. Investigation to begin into fire at Swadlincote recycling site

Section of major road closed after crash
A main road connecting Derby and Nottingham has been shut following a collision. The A52 eastbound was closed at about 06:15 BST on Monday following a crash involving two vehicles, one of which is a lorry, according to National Highways. Queueing traffic is reported from the M1 Junction 25 at Sandiacre to the Bardills Roundabout in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said no injuries had been reported. National Highways said it was managing diversions with "strategic closures" on the approach while all emergency services were working at the scene. Firefighters tackle blaze at Derby's Hippodrome
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a derelict theatre in Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the Hippodrome in Green Lane shortly before 17:00 BST on crews were called and officers from Derbyshire Police are also at the scene, the fire service smoke has been seen in the area and people living nearby have been urged to keep their doors and windows shut. Fire crews were also called to the Grade II listed building earlier this month after a small fire was reported in the theatre dates back 1914 but was last used as a bingo hall before it shut in 2007.
