This Week in Sports Trivia: June 12, 2025
Finally, mercifully, the Aaron Rodgers free agency saga has come to an end. The 41-year-old quarterback signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, and by Tuesday, he was slinging passes around the field at minicamp. He also met with the media for the first time since deciding to wear the black and gold, explaining why it took him so long to make a decision, revealing that he had gotten married and sharing his goal of bringing a seventh championship to Steel City. Advertisement If you thought this move would strike fear in the hearts of the AFC North, however, you'd be wrong, at least when it came to one rival player, who offered a smirking, snarky response to the news. That bit of fun is included in this week's quiz, but we promise you won't be facing a slew of Aaron Rodgers questions. We'll also touch on the French Open, the NBA and NHL playoffs, one of the most epic home-run robberies we've ever seen and more across the sports world. Good luck, and if you have a moment, you should play our daily Connections: Sports Edition, too! This Week in Sports Trivia: May 15, 2025
If you were looking for a busy week in sports news, you found it, as the NBA staged one of the most stunning draft lotteries ever, MLB changed a rule that suddenly made Pete Rose eligible for the Hall of Fame, and the NFL released its 2025 schedule. All of this happened within a couple of days, and it was just the tip of an athletics iceberg that also included some wild NBA and NHL postseason action, a baseball manager losing his job and a potential presidential commission being established on college sports. And did we mention that the new pope is a sports fan, too? Advertisement With all of this going on, we hope you've been paying attention as you dig in to tackle this week's quiz. So enjoy, and while you're at it, make sure to play our daily Connections: Sports Edition. Good luck! This Week in Sports Trivia: May 8, 2025
After Sovereignty's impressive win on a sloppy track at the Kentucky Derby, there was hope that this would be one of those rare years that horse racing would be blessed with a Triple Crown contender. Those hopes were quickly dashed when it was announced that Sovereignty would skip the second leg of the trilogy (Preakness) and focus on the third (Belmont), sparking debate that the three races are too closely packed together. Would it help the sport to add more rest between races and increase the likelihood of a Triple Crown, or is that what makes the whole thing so tough — and special — in the first place? Advertisement We'll save that debate for another time as we turn our attention to this week's quiz. Yes, Sovereignty will be in there, but we hope you've been paying attention because there has been a lot more going on across the sports world. So enjoy, and while you're at it, make sure to play our daily Connections: Sports Edition. Good luck!
