'I went on holiday to Spanish island and couldn't wait to get home'
One holidaymaker visiting a Spanish island admitted she 'couldn't wait to get home' after heading there, as she shared a warning to other travellers in a video that's gone viral Most people look forward to their summer holiday all year after booking it. However, one holidaymaker visiting a Spanish island admitted she 'couldn't wait to get home' after heading there, as she shared a warning to other travel fans. Dannii, who is known on TikTok as @dannii_xo, took to her account to share her experience of visiting Playa Del Inglés in Gran Canaria with her 3,747 followers – and it wasn't a very glowing review. In her clip, Dannii can be seen filming herself while laying down as she looked glum. Overlay text read: "This is your sign to do your research before booking a holiday, we can't wait to get home." The video clearly resonated with people as it went viral – racking up 29,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Many people admitted they'd had a similar experience in the area, as one person said: "We were there last week. First day was pure panic because we were in Playa Sel Inglés and went down to the beach and were like [crying emoji]. They added: "Catch a busy to Maspalomas, there's lots of nice eating places. Bus to Puerto Rico and go to Amadores, the beach is so much nicer! And from Puerto Rico get the ferry to Mogán. It was honestly BEAUTIFUL!" Another person added: "We had the same feeling," while a third chimed in: "Yeah Playa is not the best at all, nothing there. Went down the Yumbo centre for a night out that was ok. Tenerife is my new go to!" Someone else also claimed there was "nothing there", but told Dannii to get the bus either way and "she'd be ok". Meanwhile, other people recommended she go to Puerto Rico or Meloneras and Maspalomas instead, however Dannii replied: "I don't think I'll be coming back because it's really put me off, I love main Spain but this experience has been awful!" Someone else reflected on how things had changed on the island, as they wrote: "That's a shame because Gran Canaria used to be the place to be. Particularly Yumbo but we haven't been in 4/5 years as people have been saying it's getting worse." Despite a lot of people agreeing with Dannii, one person defended the area, writing: "Playa Del Ingles was literally one of my favourite vacations. So pretty. Some days just chilling at the pool or beach and other days going to see the nature. The dunes, the mountains." While another simply said: "I love Gran Canaria." A third chimed in: "Playa Del Ingles? Mate. Get yourself to Sakura or Cafe Deutsche... El Chacho in Yumbo do amazing Mexican food. It isn't as boring or bland as you think." Dannii later gave an update as she shared more insight to her holiday experience, writing: "FYI: I wasn't talking about the whole island, just the town we're staying in. The hotel's awful, the locals have been incredibly rude for absolutely no reason, I can't travel too far out as I'm with family members that are elderly and it's too much for them. "I did catch a bus to Puerto Rico which was beautiful and I've only booked one trip because everything is so pricey, I feel like I'm being scammed, inflation has increased massively which I get but my family came two years ago and the prices have doubled." Dannii's post comes amid protests and demonstrations over mass tourism in the Canary Islands have taken place over the last year. Protestors took to the streets to demand limits on the impact of holidaymakers, claiming 'tourism is killing the Canary Islands'. Despite this, National Statistics Institute (NSI) figures showed the number of tourists visiting the Canary Islands has continued to grow, even with price hikes.

Dannii Minogue back for more I Kissed a Girl after clarifying she is straight
Last year the Aussie host quipped that she "identified as queer" but afterwards had to explain she was still dating her long-term boyfriend Dannii Minogue caused a storm last year after quipping that she 'identifies as queer in a weird way' at the launch of I Kissed a Girl - and hinting that she was attracted to the 'hot' girls who took part. Afterwards she had to clarify on social media that she was 'not lesbian or queer' but remained straight, and was still in her long-term 'heater' relationship with musician Andrew Newman. Now the UK's first dating series for girls who like girls is returning for a second run on BBC3, with Dannii as host once again. She said: 'I Kissed a Girl was full of heart and groundbreaking for female representation on TV. The fans loved the fun, the passion and the drama. I can't wait for the return of the girls - let's see what the heat of the Italian sun does for kisses and connections. It is sure to get sparks flying. I am ready to be cupid once again.' Last year Dannii, 53, fought back tears of pride as she launched the new gay dating show. She got choked up as she told the contestants: 'You girls are so brave and amazing and have brought so much to it. I could never do what you have done. I will always be in awe of what has happened and what we've created. I feel so proud. You're stepping forward, and you're the first crew of girls representing in this space, and it is big.' The long-term LGBTQ ally was commended for getting to grips with the terms used to describe different types of gay women, such as 'femme' and 'masc', which led her to declare: 'I identify as queer in a weird way.' In the first epiaode one of the girls described Dannii as being 'just my type' and others also indicated they were attracted to her. Asked at the launch if the feelings were reciprocated, the Aussie star laughed: 'You girls are hot. You know it. I love it. I'm here for it. Is that an answer?' In the show, before the girls arrive at the villa, they are paired up based on what they're looking for in a partner. After meeting their match for the first time with a kiss, they're encouraged to give their new relationship a go, before potentially looking around at the rest of the group. BBC3 controller Fiona Campbell said: 'The girls brought their A game for the first series of I Kissed A Girl, creating a social buzz and stand out moments so to bring it back for another series means audiences can expect even more iconic, memorable moments and one hot summer.' Casting is now open for the 10-part series via the BBC 's 'take part' website. Last year the former X Factor judge said she hoped the series was watched by a broad audience, including those who are straight. 'There's a curiosity, right? Whether you are a lesbian or not. Who's going to be in the casting? Who's going to be paired with who? What are they like? Will they represent me? Do I see myself? A million questions and guess what? The straights have the same million questions. 'The best thing that can happen to this show is that everyone watches it, and everyone has questions. Everyone learns something. Everyone moves forward.' Dannii admitted that being the glamorous host of the show wasn't too challenging. 'I don't get to do a lot," she laughed. "I think I just drop bombs - and then swan off and try not to trip over my dress.'

How Dannii Minogue Really Feels About That Famous Clip
Dannii Minogue has reflected on an infamous Sharon Osbourne interview on Graham Norton 's talk show, in which her former X Factor colleague and the talk show host publicly 'tore her to pieces'. Back in 2007, the pair shared the X Factor panel for one season, and it's fair to say they didn't exactly see eye to eye during that time. Things culminated when, towards the end of the series, Sharon made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in which she made a series of disparaging remarks about the Put The Needle On It singer. 'What's going on?' Graham asked early on in the conversation, gesturing towards his face, suggesting Dannii looks 'bizarre' and 'like a spoon with hair'. Sharon responded: 'I feel bad for her because she knows she's there because of her looks, not for her musical contributions to the music industry…' When fellow guest David Boreanaz asked if he could see a picture of Dannii, Sharon then pointed her bum in his direction and said 'look at this', before collapsing to the floor in laughter. During a new interview on Elizabeth Day's podcast How To Fail, Dannii reflected on some of the harsh treatment she'd had over the years in the media. 'And then there was a pile on… Sharon Osborne [and] Graham Norton,' she said. The host told her: 'What really shocked me [when] I went back and re-watched the Graham Norton show with Sharon Osborne. I'm so sorry. It was so awful.' 'It is,' Dannii responded. 'I think the difference was, it wasn't being rude. There had to be production meetings to set up the things that they were doing on set in this show, and these huge personalities that I looked up to and just loved what they had done. I'd loved Sharon Osbourne on X Factor. I'd loved her on The Osbournes. I loved what Graham Norton was doing, and here were these people just tearing me to pieces. 'That show would never be made today. At the time, people didn't realise how wild it was, and I remember going home and having to sit and watch it so that I knew what had happened and I could not believe my eyes. It's not just the people who are in front of the camera, it's the people who are behind the cameras. Everyone that worked to create that. It is absolutely wild.' In her 2010 autobiography My Story, Dannii claimed that Sharon had once reduced her to tears after laying into her behind the scenes of her dressing room. Comparing the former Celebrity Big Brother star to a 'school bully', she said: 'I had to put up with insults flying at me both on and off screen. Over the course of the next year, Sharon announced to anyone who would listen that I was impossible to work with (but never explained why), that I was only on The X Factor because of my looks, not any visible talent or contribution to the entertainment industry and Simon employed me only because he wanted to sleep with me.' In her own 2013 book Unbreakable, Sharon wrote: 'Outwardly, Dannii seemed all, 'Ooh, I love kids and puppies'. But in my opinion she was dark, very dark. What you saw was definitely not what you got.' However, in the CBB house last year, Sharon insisted that she and Dannii were now 'alright' with one another.

Dannii Minogue recalls Sharon Osbourne and Graham Norton 'tearing her to pieces' on chat show
Dannii Minogue has recalled Sharon Osbourne and Graham Norton "tearing (her) to pieces" on a talk show in 2007. During an appearance on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, the singer and TV personality opened up about the "pile on" of negativity she endured when she was a judge on The X Factor between 2007 and 2010. The 53-year-old felt that there was a "free-for-all" against her because she was an "easy target" as Kylie Minogue's younger singer. Citing a particular example, Dannii remembered when her fellow X Factor judge Sharon went on The Graham Norton Show and she and the chat show host made mean jokes about her appearance and talent. "There had to be production meetings to set up the things that they were doing on set in this show and these huge personalities that I looked up to and just loved what they had done," Dannii said. "I'd loved Sharon Osbourne on X Factor. I'd love(d) her on the Osbornes. I loved what Graham Norton was doing, and here were these people just tearing me to pieces. "That show would never be made today. At the time, people didn't realise how wild it was and I remember going home and having to sit and watch it so that I knew what had happened and I could not believe my eyes." During the episode, Sharon and Graham criticised Dannii's appearance, Australian accent and what they perceived as her lack of musical talent, with The Osbournes star savagely stating, "She knows she's there for her looks, not her contributions to the music industry." Dannii told podcast host Elizabeth that nobody who publicly ridiculed her has ever apologised. For most of her time on The X Factor, Dannii judged the contestants alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl. She only worked with Sharon on the 2007 edition.

Dannii Minogue reignites feud with two stars after being 'torn to pieces' on TV
Dannii Minogue was mocked by former X Factor judge, Sharon Osbourne, and Graham Norton on the Irishman's show in an interview, which Dannii said 'tore her to pieces' Dannii Minogue has reignited her feud with Sharon Osbourne and Graham Norton after accusing the pair of 'tearing her to pieces' on TV. The Aussie, 53, was mocked on Graham's BBC chat show in 2007, with former X Factor judge, Sharon, 72, claiming working with Dannii on the iconic ITV talent series was an "odious chore". Host, Graham, who has interviewed a number of high-profile stars in his career, claimed the mum-of-one 'looked bizarre' while also mocking her accent. Adding further fuel to the fire, Osbourne matriarch, Sharon, stood up and pointed to her behind and said "look at this" when Buffy star, David Boreanaz, asked to see a photo of the Under Pressure star. Revisiting the uncomfortable scenes on the podcast, How to Fail With Elizabeth Day, Dannii claims the show on BBC"would never be made today". Claiming the pair had 'torn her to pieces', she said she believed Graham had set up the 'cruel' questions in advance, saying: "I think the difference was it wasn't being rude. There had to be production meetings to set up the things that they were doing on set in this show and these huge personalities that I looked up to and just loved what they had done." Dannii continued: "I'd loved Sharon Osbourne on X Factor. I'd love her on the Osborne's. I loved what Graham Norton was doing, and here were these people just tearing me to pieces. That show would never be made today." Dannii and Sharon have had a long-running feud ever since they started working on the X Factor together. After Dannii was rumoured to have been dating show boss, Simon Cowell, Sharon told Piers Morgan she couldn't stand the younger sister of pop superstar, Kylie Minogue. Lifting the lid on their fractious relationship on the Life Stories show, she said: "I didn't hate her because hatred is very close to love and takes a lot of emotion and I don't have that time for her. She was like an insect, a mosquito that wouldn't go away." Meanwhile, in Sharon's autobiography Unbreakable, she openly accused Dannii of having it off with Simon. "She had an uppity attitude as she was f***ing the boss," Sharon wrote. "She clearly felt sh***ing Simon gave her vicarious power and it was so immature, not to mention deeply irritating to deal with." Countering, Dannii compared Sharon to a 'school bully', writing in her autobiography, Dannii: My Story:"When I sat on the judging panel next to Sharon each Saturday, having seen her publicly destroy me on yet another television show or press interview that week, I felt as if I was back at primary school when I was forced to sit next to the school bully. "Over the course of the next year, Sharon announced to anyone who would listen that I was impossible to work with (but never explained why); that I was only on The X Factor because of my looks, not any visible talent or contribution to the entertainment industry; and Simon employed me only because he wanted to sleep with me." But, clapping back, Sharon took a direct swipe at Dannii in an interview with Best Magazine a few months later, claiming that the singer had an issue with her due to her strong character - and suggested Dannii is a 'flirt' and gets on better with men. "We just have nothing in common," she swiped, adding: "I love women but there are some who don't love other women. Dannii didn't care for me."
