James Gunn Confirms Three 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Actors Appear in 'Superman'

So it should come as little surprise that at least three "Guardians of the Galaxy" actors make cameos in the upcoming "Superman". "I will give you something that nobody knows, but Pom Klementieff is one of the robots," Gunn revealed. "It's Bradley [Cooper] and then it's also Pom and Michael Rooker is another one of the robots." DISNEY Fans will remember Pom Klementieff plays the antennae-wielding empath Mantis who first appears in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and is ultimately revealed to be Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) half-sister. Michael Rooker plays the Ravager Yondu in the first two films, while Bradley Cooper has been the voice of Rocket Raccoon in all of his "Guardians" and "Avengers" appearances. In case you're confused about what robots Gunn is referring to: the three "Guardians" actors, along with Alan Tudyk, are voicing the Kryptonian robots who stand guard over Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Asked about "Guardians" actors Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana, Gunn said he was "keeping them in the wings." Technically, we already knew about one "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor appearing in "Superman". Nathan Fillion, who plays Guy Gardner/Green Lantern in the DC blockbuster, appears in both the first and third "Guardians" features. He would have appeared in the second, but his cameo was sadly cut. We already know Fillion's time as Guy Gardner will be longer than anything he did in the "Guardians" franchise. Along with "Superman", he's been confirmed to play Gardner in Season 2 of "Peacemaker" and Season 1 of "Lanterns". The fact that Klementieff, Cooper, and Rooker add their voices to "Superman" doesn't cut them out of future DC Studios appearances, either. In fact, we already know Rooker will appear again. Along with playing Savant in 2021's "The Suicide Squad", Rooker will play the eagle hunter Red St. Wild in the upcoming Season 2 of "Peacemaker". "Superman" releases in theaters on July 11. She said she later met with Iger and the team responsible for creating the attraction, telling him: 'I strongly feel the last two minutes with the robot will do much more harm than good to Grandpa's legacy. "They will remember the robot - and not the man.' Despite Iger being 'very kind" and despite his promises to protect her grandfather's legacy, she said her request that they scrap the animatronic was ultimately ignored. Miller added it 'pains' her to call out the very company he created. The icon's granddaughter was speaking solely on behalf of her grandfather and mother, according to The LA Times.

'F1: The Movie' Star Hints He Could Be The Next Black Panther

When co-anchor Craig Melvin asked him if he'd had any conversations about being cast as the next Black Panther, Idris groaned and answered "Yes-no!" As recounted by Entertainment Weekly, the InSneider Report was the first site to claim Marvel Studios was looking to recast T'Challa in spite of initially saying that would never happen. In a since-deleted post, Idris would later sarcastically respond to a claim on X that he had turned down the role of Black Panther with, "Yes sir. I turned down 007, A co-lead film with Daniel Day Lewis and an Eddie Murphy biopic too." Boseman originated the role of T'Challa in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War", and would go on to play the hero three more times, including in 2018's "Black Panther. He died of cancer in 2020 at the age of 43. "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" followed in 2022, with Marvel vowing not to recast the role of T'Challa. Instead, the film opens with the reveal that T'Challa has died. Eventually, his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) takes over the role of Black Panther. If Idris does wind up in "Black Panther 3", he could very well find himself working with Denzel Washington for the first time. Writer/Director Ryan Coogler recently confirmed not only that he wants Washington in the threequel, but that he's writing a part specifically for the Oscar-winner. There's no word yet on who Washington might play in "Black Panther 3" or when the movie might hit theaters. At first, many fans of the property questioned the decision to cast a Latina as a character traditionally depicted as white. Later, Zegler's casting stirred more political controversy when she proved outspoken both in her pro-Palestinian stance and in her disapproval of the reelection of President Donald Trump. Gal Gadot's casting as the Evil Queen proved just as controversial when pro-Palestinian groups called for the film to be boycotted because of Gadot's previous service in the IDF and her support for Israel. There was also controversy about the use, or lack thereof, of actors with dwarfism. Most notably, Peter Dinklage caused a stir when he mentioned "Snow White" on an episode of "WTF with Marc Maron" and bashed the movie, calling it, "that f---ing backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together." More controversy erupted later when it was revealed that, of the actors whose motion capture and voices were used to create the CGI dwarfs, only one of them (Martin Klebba) was an actor with dwarfism.
