Miley Cyrus and Beyonce perform Grammy-winning duet in Paris
Beyonce fans were shocked left when the superstar brought out a surprise performer at the Paris stop of her Cowboy Carter tour on Thursday night. Miley Cyrus became the first official guest to take the stage during the tour, appearing at Paris' Stade de France to give a debut live performance of their duet II Most Wanted. The song, which was the third single off the country album, took home the 2025 Grammy for best country duo/group performance — beating out stars such as Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. II Most Wanted became Beyonce's 23rd and Cyrus' 13th top-10 song on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also debuted at number two on the Hot Country Songs, scoring Beyonce's third and Cyrus' second top-10 on the chart. The Wrecking Ball singer has spoken out in previous interviews about the song, which she wrote, perfectly encompassing the duo's relationship. The pair first met at a 2008 telethon raising funds for cancer research. Credit: Supplied 'I told her, 'We don't have to get country; we are country. We've been country',' she told W magazine last year. 'You know, between (Beyonce) being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.' Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyonce was a dream come true.' Beyonce has passed the halfway mark of her Cowboy Carter world tour, having previously touched down in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey and London. After she wraps in Paris on June 22, she will head back to the United States for shows in her hometown Houston, as well as Washington, DC, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Miley Cyrus' ‘Something Beautiful' To Screen In Australian Cinemas Next Week
Australian fans of Miley Cyrus will get a chance to see the mutli-platinum pop star return to the big screen next week (June 27th), with nationwide screenings of her new film Something Beautiful having been announced by Event, Hoyts and Village Cinemas for at least one cinema in every state and territory. The film serves as the accompanying visuals to Cyrus' ninth studio album of the same name, which was released late last month. The full list of screenings can be found below. Something Beautiful was both co-directed and co-produced by Cyrus herself. She wrote the film with her team of co-directors, Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter. The former has been working with Cyrus since her previous studio album, 2023's Endless Summer Vacation, which included directing the music video for the chart-topping 'Flowers' – which has over one billion views on YouTube. The latter, meanwhile, is a former guitarist for the American pop-punk band Valencia, whose work as a videographer includes credits with Fall Out Boy, Lorde, Weezer, Sia, Green Day and Shawn Mendes. In promotional materials for the film, Something Beautiful is described as 'a one-of-a-kind pop opera'. '[This] is my dream project come true — fashion, film, and original music coexisting in harmony,' said Cyrus. 'My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: From the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema's most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos, serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality.' Prior to Something Beautiful, Cyrus' only other recent film appearance was an uncredited cameo in Ethan Coen's 2024 film Drive-Away Dolls, which starred Pedro Pascal and Beanie Feldstein. She was last seen before that in 2017's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, where she cameoed as Mainframe. Her last lead acting role was in 2012's So Undercover, alongside Jeremy Piven and her mother Tish. All screenings are on Friday, June 27th. All screenings are at 7pm unless otherwise indicated. Music reviews: Miley Cyrus, Garbage, and Keith Jarrett
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. ★★★ Something Beautiful is "another Miley Cyrus grab bag," veering from dream-pop balladry to clubby R&B to goth rock and more, said Mark Richardson in The Wall Street Journal. "That sounds like a criticism, but it's really not." With guest appearances that include Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cyrus' ninth album "goes places you would never expect." And despite a second half dominated by electronic dance tracks that waste Cyrus' vocal talents, her "willingness to confound" is welcome when so many other pop acts are content to be predictable. The "very grand claims" Cyrus has made about Something Beautiful ask us to consider it as a grand statement, said Alexis Petridis in The Guardian. She has called it an attempt to medicate a sick culture and has spun off a film billed as a pop opera that's actually "just a load of pop videos." The music itself, however, is "all very well written and well made," including that club-ready second half. Though a couple of tracks will chart, what this Miley venture lacks is "the kind of obvious smash-hit single by which her albums stand or fall commercially." ★★★ Garbage is "alt-rock royalty," and the band's eighth album reaffirms as much, said Neil Z. Yeung in AllMusic. "Confident and driven," it's "a potent rallying cry" for the fight against impending darkness, whether that's mortality or the erosion of American democracy. The songs were created when singer Shirley Manson, 58, was recovering from a second hip-replacement surgery, adding lyrics to her bandmates' instrumental tracks. The result is an album fueled by the quartet's "signature" blend of "jagged guitar riffs, elastic bass, precision drumming, and electronic-kissed atmospherics," all held together by "Manson's inimitable vocals." Since reuniting in 2010, this band born in the 1990s has issued "one rock-solid album after the next," said Andrew Sacher in Brooklyn Vegan. This one's "certainly fresh enough" to be mistaken for the work of the younger artists Manson has inspired, including Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo. While the record mines Garbage's "darker industrial side," Manson has made a point of moving on from 2021's No Gods No Masters by lacing her lyrics with more hope. "We could all use a little more of that energy right now." ★★★★ Is a fourth album harvested from a single 2016 European concert tour "too much of a good thing?" asked Mike Gates in UK Vibe. "Not when it's Keith Jarrett." New Vienna arrives as the celebrated pianist, who ceased performing after suffering strokes in 2018, turns 80 and observes the 50th anniversary of his landmark Köln Concert album. The performance recorded in an 1870 Vienna concert hall finds him "in spirited mood, shaping new music in the moment," music that's meaningfully different from what he played at other stops on the tour. This is Jarrett "in his perfect element: simply improvising the moment he takes the bench," said Michael Toland in The Big Takeover. Stringing together nine short pieces, he "hits onevery aspect of his multifaceted playing," opening with a blitz of staggering notes, then paying tribute to Viennese composers Arnold Schoenberg and Alban Berg with the "lush chords" of Part II. Part VIII's "bluesy runs and finger-snapping rhythm" take us "from the concert hall to the bawdy house." He closes with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," showing an inspiring ability to "draw new feeling out of familiar notes."

Reminded this morning of my great friend Carl Perkins! Words he spoke to me. 'Take care of your fans in England 🏴 They love real music 🎵 and true artist who are unique…original … and not afraid of boundaries.' So true my friend. The inspiration here is unbelievable….. especially the one they call…. my girlfriend. Thank you 🙏🏼 @elizabethhurley1 for reminding me how great this country is. You would have loved Carl!!! From what you've shared he and your Daddy were very similar. Happy early Birthday 🎂 to your Daddy Bear 🐻 Ready ….Set …. Don't Go,' Cyrus wrote in the caption. Perkins, for those unfamiliar with the name, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who had a huge influence on Elvis Presley and the Beatles. He wrote and was the first to record 'Blue Suede Shoes' and the Beatles covered his songs 'Honey Don't,' 'Matchbox' and 'Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby' (though there was some controversy over the origins of the latter song). Perkins died in 1998 at the age of 65. Perhaps more noteworthy than the reference to Perkins is Cyrus' mentions of Hurley, who the 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer has been linked to since Easter. She recently revealed that the couple will be in England together to celebrate her 60th birthday in June, and Cyrus' post confirms he is indeed in the approved of Cyrus' post, giving him props in the comments. '👏👏🔥🔥 You two are on FIRE! Love this!! Can't wait to see you perform again. Love your voice your music and of course you!' wrote one fan. 'You have always been wonderful BR! You know I've been a loyal fan since 1992, Al Shlitz called me 'Miss England'. I have always been privileged to have some of the best UK fan / friend times and memories in the US and here in England. Your 1997 UK tour was an incredible time! Hope you're enjoying being on this side of the pond. Happy Sunday Callin'. Much love & admiration always 🇬🇧🎶❤️,' added another. Miley Cyrus Teases Spotify Billions Club Live Show in Paris (And a Concert Film Is Coming, Too)
Miley Cyrus is headed to Paris for a very special concert celebrating some of her biggest hits, with the pop star teasing Wednesday (June 11) that she'll be performing at Spotify's next Billions Club Live concert later this month. The news comes via X, on which the streaming giant first posted a lyric to Cyrus' 'End of the World' — 'Let's go to Paris, I don't care if we get lost in the scene' — and added, '@MileyCyrus, you coming?' More from Billboard DJ Akademiks Denies Taking Payola From Drake During Kendrick Battle Raekwon and Ghostface Killah Release Trailer for 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx' Documentary SEVENTEEN Have a Good Time Being a 'Bad Influence' in Futuristic Video For Pharrell-Produced Single The singer then reposted the message and wrote: 'I'll meet you there. Next week. #BillionsClubLive.' Billions Club Live was introduced last December, with The Weeknd playing the first show in the series for about 2,000 people in Los Angeles to celebrate his long roster of songs that have surpassed a billion Spotify streams. The crowd was made up of fans selected for being in the 'Blinding Lights' artist's top percentage of listeners on the music service. Cyrus has several songs that have reached the ten-digit milestone, including 'Wrecking Ball,' 'We Can't Stop,' 'Angels Like You' and 'Party in the U.S.A.' The Spotify concert comes on the heels of her new album Something Beautiful, which dropped May 30 and debuted this week at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The LP marks her first full-length since 2023's Endless Summer Vacation, which spawned eight-week Billboard Hot 100-topper 'Flowers' — a song that has garnered more than 2 billion streams on the platform, meaning fans in Paris can almost definitely expect that she'll perform it during her Billions Club Live show. Spotify confirmed to Billboard that this Billions Club Live show will be filmed and released as a concert film later this summer. The upcoming show will be especially meaningful as Cyrus' live performances are few and far between these days. When she does perform, it's usually in an intimate setting — such as the Chateau Marmont, where she recently hosted a Something Beautiful listening party. In 2023, the Hannah Montana alum announced that she had no intention of touring for the foreseeable future. While promoting Something Beautiful on Apple Music 1 in May, Cyrus elaborated on her decision to skip touring, noting that staying off the road is best for her sobriety and protecting her vocal cords.
