Man in 40s shot dead outside Costco in broad daylight horror
COPS raced to the scene of a fatal shooting outside of a busy Costco. The horrifying attack took place in broad daylight and took the life of a 40-year-old man. 3 3 The shooting took place at 5pm on Thursday evening outside of Costco in Croydon. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene but were unable to revive him. His family have been informed and detectives from the Met's Major Incident team have launched an investigation. Speaking about the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten said: "This was a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the man's family at this difficult time. "Our team of specially trained officers are supporting them as are our investigation progresses. "Our enquiries are ongoing and we would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us." Attempted murder near St Mirren's stadium as cops hunt for 'suspects on e-bikes'
The incident happened at a junction beside the The SMISA Stadium in Paisley. Police are probing an attempted murder after two men on e-bikes attacked the victim in a Scots town. The incident happened around 4.45pm on Thursday, 19 June, on Murray Street, close to the junction with Greenhills Road in Paisley. Cops say two men riding e-bikes, dressed in dark clothing, approached a 36-year-old man and assaulted him, before fleeing from the scene. Emergency services attended and the man was rushed to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. Police Scotland urge anyone who was in the area to come forward and appealed to drivers who may have dash-cam footage. Detective Constable Stephen Solomon said: 'Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around this time to contact us. 'We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything. In addition, there may have been passing vehicles with dash-cam footage so I would urge anyone that can assist to please come forward. Serious injuries suffered after suspected drink and drug driving incident near Tenby Officers are appealing for information to help with their investigation into the crash which happened on Thursday evening The crash happened on the A4139 in Pembrokeshire (Image: Google ) A person is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision which left a Pembrokeshire road closed for 10 hours. Dyfed-Powys Police have launched a vehicle into the crash and one man has been arrested. The two-vehicle collision occurred on the A4139, between Tenby and Lydstep at around 5.15pm on Thursday (June 20). It involved a black Renault Captur and a white Ford Transit van. A 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed. He remains in police custody. The road was closed for collision investigation work and was reopened just after 3am on June 20. Police seize cannabis worth £7m in record haul
Police have seized cannabis worth £7m following a raid on a derelict building in Fife. Officers raided premises at Nairn Campus on High Street, Kirkcaldy, at around 12.40pm on Wednesday. Police discovered 5,000 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £7m, making it the largest haul of the drug in Scotland. Sergeant Johny Lister said: 'This is a very significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the activity of illegal drugs in Scotland. 'Drugs cause misery in our communities. 'This recovery also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy. 'The public has an important role to play in helping Police Scotland target those responsible for the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal substances.
