Sharon Osbourne Booted a Band Off Lineup of Final Black Sabbath Concert

The post Sharon Osbourne Booted a Band Off Lineup of Final Black Sabbath Concert appeared first on Consequence. Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she booted a band off the lineup of the upcoming 'Back to the Beginning' concert featuring the final performances of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. The wife and manager of Ozzy told Metal Hammer that an argument with the undisclosed act's manager led to her decision to disinvite the band from playing the historic all-day concert event being held July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. 'I had a huge, huge to-do with a manager over this celebration for Ozzy and Sabbath,' revealed Sharon. 'And it was probably the worst way I've felt in years. And I don't care what this person says about me, thinks about it, because he doesn't know me. And he's now going around making up bullshit lies because I threw his band off the bill.' She continued, 'I don't care what people say. Because do you know what? I don't love them. I care about people who love me, what they say about me. You can't care what an industry says, because you don't love them, so how can it hurt you? It doesn't.' When asked by Metal Hammer if it was Iron Maiden — as Sharon famously feuded with singer Bruce Dickinson on the 2005 edition of Ozzfest — she replied, 'Oh god, no. Ozzy only has respect for the guys in Maiden. And he didn't even know what Bruce was doing [during Ozzfest]. I never told him, until the night that it happened when it was the last show, and he just looked at me and goes, 'You're terrible.'' Meanwhile, there was speculation that Sharon was referring to Tool, whose name was conspicuously missing from the promotion of the recently announced paid livestream of the 'Back to the Beginning' concert. However, that turned out to be a design oversight, and Tool's name has since been added. In addition to Sabbath and Ozzy, the concert will feature performances from Tool, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and dozens of other notable rock and metal acts. As mentioned, a global livestream is available to purchase for $29.99. Questlove Pays Tribute to Sly Stone: 'Changes He Sparked While Here Will Echo Forever'

The post Questlove Pays Tribute to Sly Stone: 'Changes He Sparked While Here Will Echo Forever' appeared first on Consequence. Questlove has paid tribute to late funk pioneer Sly Stone. In an Instagram post, The Roots drummer and music historian reflected on the musician's legacy and vast accomplishments, while also sharing his personal experience working on the original documentary Sly Lives! (aka the Burden of Black Genius). 'Sly Stone, born Sylvester Stewart, left this earth today, but the changes he sparked while here will echo forever. From the moment his music reached me in the early 1970s, it became a part of my soul,' Questlove wrote. 'Sly was a giant — not just for his groundbreaking work with the Family Stone, but for the radical inclusivity and deep human truths he poured into every note. His songs weren't just about fighting injustice; they were about transforming the self to transform the world. He dared to be simple in the most complex ways — using childlike joy, wordless cries, and nursery rhyme cadences to express adult truths. His work looked straight at the brightest and darkest parts of life and demanded we do the same.' Questlove continued by acknowledging Stone's addiction battle and disappearance from the spotlight before stating that the artist 'lived long enough to outlast many of his disciples, to feel the ripples of his genius return through hip-hop samples, documentaries, and his memoir.' 'Still, none of that replaces the raw beauty of his original work,' Questlove added. 'As I reflect on his legacy, two lines haunt me: 'We deserve everything we get in this life' — a line from the Sly Lives! documentary that feels like both a warning and a manifestation — and, of course, the eternal cry of 'Everyday People': 'We got to live together!' Once idealistic, now I hear it as a command. Sly's music will likely speak to us even more now than it did then. Thank you, Sly. You will forever live.' Stone's death at the age of 82 was announced by his family earlier today, June 9th. It followed 'a prolonged battle' with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and 'other underlying health issues.' Sydney Sweeney Put On More Than 30 Pounds for Christy Martin Biopic

The post Sydney Sweeney Put On More Than 30 Pounds for Christy Martin Biopic appeared first on Consequence. For her role as pioneering female boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic, Sydney Sweeney went full Christian Bale, quickly and radically transforming her body to best fit the part. 'I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training,' Sweeney told W Magazine in a new cover story. 'I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour.' 'My body was completely different,' she continued. 'I didn't fit in any of my clothes. I'm usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, 'Oh my god' … But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.' According to W, Sweeney then dropped the weight in just seven weeks to reprise her role as Cassie in the new season of the hit HBO series Euphoria. A proper title and release date for the David Michôd-directed biopic have yet to be announced. Sweeney is also recently made headlines thanks to her unique, we'll call it, collaboration with Dr. Squatch soap. Judge Throws Out Justin Baldoni's Defamation Lawsuit Against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

The post Judge Throws Out Justin Baldoni's Defamation Lawsuit Against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds appeared first on Consequence. A vast majority of Justin Baldoni's $400 million civil lawsuit against Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds was thrown out by a judge on Monday. Per People, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Parties, against Lively and Reynolds, which alleged extortion and defamation related to allegations Lively has made about Baloni occurring on the set of the film It Ends With Us. Baldoni does have the option of amending the lawsuit for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract and re-filing by June 23rd. Additionally, Judge Liman dismissed Baldoni's separate defamation lawsuit against the New York Times over its reporting on Lively's allegations and her subsequent lawsuit against the actor/director 'The Wayfarer Parties have not alleged that Lively is responsible for any statements other than the statements in her [California Civil Rights Department] complaint, which are privileged,' Judge Liman wrote in the opinion and order filing. 'The Wayfarer Parties have alleged that Reynolds and [publicist Leslie] Sloane made additional statements accusing Baldoni of sexual misconduct and that the Times made additional statements accusing the Wayfarer Parties of engaging in a smear campaign. But the Wayfarer Parties have not alleged that Reynolds, Sloane or the Times would have seriously doubted these statements were true based on the information available to them, as is required for them to be liable for defamation under applicable law.' Lively's federal lawsuit against Baldoni remains active and is expected to go to trial in 2026. Among several allegations, Lively has accused Baldoni — who directed and co-starred in It Ends With Us — of sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment, and orchestrating a PR campaign to damage her reputation.
