Paige DeSorbo Finally Reveals Why Craig Conover Was Told To Leave Amanda Batula And Kyle Cooke's Wedding: 'He Acted Like An Entitled Brat'

Paige DeSorbo just revealed what actually went down at Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke's wedding that got her then-boyfriend Craig Conover kicked off the property. In the second and final part of the Summer House Season 9 reunion, DeSorbo finally confirmed the long-standing rumors that Conover was 'asked not to return to the backyard' of Batula's parents' house, where their 2021 wedding took place. 'The next morning I woke up and I was like, 'You have to apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Batula.' And he absolutely refused,' DeSorbo — who broke up with the Southern Charm star in November 2024 after three years of dating — told host Andy Cohen. 'I was mortified.' She continued, 'He was belligerently drunk. He was causing a scene. He was kicking tables. He was yelling at people. He was going inside the house,' ignoring the Batulas' request for their guests to stay outside. According to Batula, DeSorbo was the one who texted her parents to apologize for Conover's behavior the next day. 'He acted like an entitled brat at the wedding and he was an embarrassment,' DeSorbo added. The gossip surrounding the ordeal has been circulating in the rumor mill for years. DeSorbo previously accused Lindsay Hubbard of leaking the story to the blogs, though she later learned that it was actually Danielle Olivera. While Conover has admitted to drinking too much that night, he has also insisted that the rumors that he was kicked out of the wedding were 'made up.' 'It was a filmed event. I think if I was kicked out, we would've seen it on TV,' he told Us Weekly in a June 2024 interview. 'But, to be fair, I was asked to not come back in, in case I wanted to decide to come back in.' DeSorbo, for her part, shared whether there were other instances where she had to lie to protect her ex-boyfriend, who has since cut back on his drinking. 'Honestly, I'm so uncomfortable because I've never had to lie in my entire life until I started dating him and it was more like, I had to be like, 'Oh, he's not that drunk.' Or, 'Oh, we just wanted to go home early,'' she said at the reunion. 'It's little situations that he would put me in that I would have to defuse. It's uncomfortable and it gets very overwhelming and tiring.' Summer House Season 9 is currently streaming on Peacock.

Kristin Cavallari Confesses To A Giddy Andy Cohen She Was Romantic With Craig Conover For 'Two Seconds' But Quickly Ended Things: 'I Was Already In A Love Triangle In High School'

After years of speculation, Kristin Cavallari just confirmed her past romance with Southern Charm's Craig Conover. Appearing on Wednesday night's (June 4) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cavallari was forced to open up about her previous relations with Conover — and whether they overlapped with his relationship with Summer House star Paige DeSorbo. 'Let's talk about it,' Cavallari began. 'So, Craig and I were friends first, became romantic for two seconds. The second I caught wind of Paige, I very politely excused myself from the situation.' According to Cavallari, her romance with Conover came to an end shortly after he began seeing DeSorbo. 'There was a picture of Craig and Paige in New York. I'll never forget it. And it looked like they were sort of together,' she said. 'That was the first time anyone had seen them. That was the first I had heard about it. I saw that picture and I texted him and said, 'Hey, let's just be friends. I don't want to get in the middle of this.'' The Laguna Beach alum joked, 'I was already in a love triangle in high school. I'm good for the rest of my life. I'm never gonna be in another one. That was it.' Cavallari reconnected with Conover for the first time since then on her Let's Be Honest podcast tour, which was documented in her new E! show Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. Their reunion came months after DeSorbo ended her three-year relationship with Conover. 'That was the first time I had seen him since they got together,' Cavallari said. 'Him and Austen [Kroll] came out. I grilled him about some stuff, too, so I'm hesitant to say too much because it's all gonna be on my show. I asked him if he lied to me about Paige. I went there. It'll all be on the show.' The reality star said she would never consider dating Conover now that he's single, telling host Andy Cohen that she only loves him 'as a friend.' She also answered whether or not she thought something happened between Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy and her ex-husband Jay Cutler. 'Yes,' Cavallari confirmed. Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.

Paige DeSorbo Quits Bravo's ‘Summer House' After 7 Seasons (And One Major Break Up)

We'll always have Summer (House). Paige DeSorbo, who joined the hit Bravo series in its third season, revealed on her Instagram story on Thursday that she will not be returning to the show. 'Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the giggles, all unforgettable,' she wrote. 'You've seen me grow up over these last 7 summers. I'll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has taught me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it's time for this chapter to close.' DeSorbo also thanked her co-stars, fans, and her 'NBCU family,' the company behind Bravo. 'I never could've imagined what this journey would turn into – and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven't seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed,' she concluded, referring to her sleepwear brand that is launching on June 10. The past year was eventful for DeSorbo, who announced her break up with Southern Charm star Craig Conover in late 2024 on her and Hannah Berner's Giggly Squad podcast after three years together. Their buzzy breakup had co-stars of theirs taking sides, or as Summer House's Carl Radke told DECIDER in February, is like siding with your 'quarterback.' 'It feels like leading up to a championship game or something, where both teams in the locker room are saying stuff,' he explained at the time. 'Of course, everybody's going to protect their quarterback or their head coach and Paige is like our quarterback, our head coach. And of course, we're going to have her back, always.' DeSorbo's Thursday morning announcement arrives on the heels of Part 2 of the Summer House Season 9 reunion, during which she confirmed that Conover was 'belligerently drunk' at Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke's wedding and was 'asked not to return' to Batulas' parents' backyard, where the wedding was held. After DeSorbo shared the news of her Summer House exit, Batula shared a selfie with her on her Instagram story with a heart emoji. Wednesday night's (June 4) episode of Watch What Happens Live also saw Kristin Cavallari admit that she and Conover previously 'became romantic for two seconds,' though she 'very politely excused' herself after learning of his relationship with DeSorbo. Summer House Season 9 and both parts of the Summer House Season 9 reunion are streaming on Peacock.

Why Craig Conover Is Meeting With Members of Congress

Southern Charm's Craig Conover visited the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday to speak with members of Congress about his business, Sewing Down South, and experience as a small business owner. Newsweek reached out to Conover via email for comment. Small businesses are a huge part of the American economy, and fostering growth in the small business arena has been a staple of both Democratic and Republican presidential campaigns. As Republicans work to pass a budget bill that includes tax cuts to help small businesses, the House Committee on Small Business hosted a showcase of small businesses to highlight the importance of their companies. The showcase enabled policymakers to hear directly from business owners on issues like tax policy, regulation, and investment incentives. According to Conover, sewing Down South is an eight-figure business, and he employed about 30 people with health insurance as of April. During Tuesday's showcase, Conover joined over 25 business owners from across the United States to highlight his company's economic contributions to members of Congress. In an Instagram video shared before the event, Conover said he was "a little nervous" but it was "pretty awesome" that he was presenting Sewing Down South to members of Congress. Conover noted that he had to wear a tie because he had a presentation and noted that while he doesn't wear them that often, he always used to. He said there was "something about dressing up before work or a game." The Southern Charm star posted on Instagram that the last time he was at the U.S. Capitol was in the 5th grade for a field trip. Committee Chairman Roger Williams opened the showcase by thanking entrepreneurs for their work and highlighted federal initiatives to create a healthy business climate, including reductions in taxes and regulations and 100 percent expensing for businesses. Williams was joined by SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler and other committee members who praised small businesses' role in strengthening local economies. Sewing Down South, founded by Conover in 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina, has grown from a hobby-driven startup in his dining room to a major home goods enterprise serving customers nationwide. By 2025, Conover reported that the company had reached an eight-figure valuation and expanded into national retailers such as Kroger and HomeGoods. The company employs approximately 30 people and offers products ranging from decorative pillows to kitchenware. Conover does not solely own the business and has two partners, Jerry Casselano and Amanda Latifi, each of whom holds an ownership stake. Conover also has a stake in the Spritz Society sparkling cocktail brand, which also participated in the Capitol event. Conover's partnership with Spritz Society sparked tension with Summer House starKyle Cooke since Cooke owns Loverboy, a competitor brand. Fans watched the fallout of the partnership play out this season on Summer House. Cooke told Newsweek recently that alcohol is a "zero-sum game," so if one brand is being promoted, another brand isn't, which is part of why Conover's taking on this partnership was a problem. "If your friend comes out with a podcast. And you have a podcast, are you mad at your friend? No, you just cross-promote, you hop on each other's podcasts, you create this rising tide," Cooke said. "There's not a lot of industries that are so dog-eat-dog but beverage is one of them." Conover told Page Six in May that he tried Spritz Society at a Taylor Swift concert and enjoyed it, so when the opportunity presented itself to invest, it was "such an easy sell." He said investing in Loverboy "wasn't an option." After Tuesday's event, Conover called it "pretty awesome" to have two companies in the Capitol presenting and said he hopes he gets the chance to come back. "That was awesome," he added. House Committee on Small Business chair Roger Williams, in a statement: "The House Committee on Small Business is proud to be a voice for Main Street America in Washington. Today, small business owners from across the country had the chance to showcase the results of their hard work and dedication to Members of Congress." Craig Conover on Instagram after the event: "Incredible feeling walking into the Capitol and seeing one of your other businesses presenting." Small business leaders who participated in the showcase will continue to advocate for supportive policies and seek new opportunities for collaboration with Congress. Sewing Down South plans to pursue further partnerships and expansion, as indicated by its ongoing collaborations and national distribution.
