'CoComelon' YouTube Videos to Watch With Your Toddler This Week
We know there is a lot of content on YouTube, and it can be hard to tell which ones are appropriate for your child. Camping, road trips, and other types of summer vacations with the family are of course totally worth the effort, but first you just have to get the kids on board with your plans. This song is a twist on a classic nursery rhyme that the whole family can sing-a-long to—and even if you have to listen to it a few times throughout the day, its worth if it means avoiding a mid-trip meltdown in the back seat. Speaking from experience, among the most requested snacks from kids in the summer is a good old ice pop—they're a classic for a reason, and as it turns out, popsicles are also a reliable teaching tool for helping your child memorize the names of all the colors of the rainbow. I can still remember when I was teaching my daughter the names of all the different colors, and how much trouble she had remembering them. That's why I love this CoComelon song, 'The Color Song! Rainbow Popsicles.' It teaches kids how to identify red, yellow, green, purple, and blue through the visual aid of the popsicle. At the same time, it also identifies a fruit of the same color, to give your kid additional context for the color, and help them become more familiar with the foods they are probably already eating at home everyday. If you're familiar with CoComelon, you know that the brand has a series of original songs with the 'Yes, Yes,' theme. The purpose of these songs is to help teach kids a wide range of important skills, including the names of fruits and vegetables, and how to get dressed in the morning and brush your teeth. Sometimes there is better way to get your kid's routine to stick in their head than through a catchy song. The 'Yes, Yes,' songs reinforce all sorts of small but important parts of your kid's day—whether it's being able to identify their favorite type of fruit at the grocery store, to reminding them to put on their rain coat before heading out the door on a stormy day. ‘CoComelon' Sets North American and European Dates for International Tour (TV News Roundup)

Candle Media's Kevin Mayer eyes exits for Moonbug and other brands
Candle Media co-CEO Kevin Mayer said the Blackstone-backed media company plans to sell or IPO its individual brands rather than the overall company. Why it matters: The strategy marks a departure from Candle's original plan and exemplifies growth potential for diversified individual brands versus holding companies. What they're saying: "We had intended for Candle to be an integrated operating company with different audience verticals all approaching it in similar ways and it really hasn't happened," Mayer said at an Axios event on Tuesday in Cannes. "We're now more or less ... three independent companies now that are operating in different ways," Mayer said. Catch up quick: Candle's three core companies are Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine, children's entertainment company Moonbug and social publisher ATTN. Zoom in: Moonbug, which creates and distributes "CoComelon" and "Blippi," could grow to become a bigger IP holding company, be acquired by an entertainment or tech company, or pursue an IPO. "It has the scale and the platform to extend itself to other audiences, older kids, teenagers. You can see taking the Moonbug model, YouTube-first and then multi-platform model, around that IP. We see that happening in a bunch of different verticals," Mayer said.

But when she finally makes it inside, the only thing we're doing for the remainder of the day is eating a snack, turning on the air conditioning, and relaxing with some well-earned screen time. After all, if she's been running around at the park or backyard all day, she deserves a rest. If this sounds similar to your weekend routine, then you'll want to tune into the CoComelon YouTube channel. Each week, the channel posts several new videos, so you can keep your toddler entertained without worrying about repeating the same songs over and over again. Here are the latest CoComelon songs to watch with your kids after a long day of playing—or whenever you and your family need some downtime. When your little one gets a scrape or a bruise, they might be fascinated or scared or struggling to understand what just happened—probably some potent combination of all three.
