3 underrated HBO Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
Fans of documentaries will notice several high-profile ones on the HBO homepage. One of the latest offerings is Surviving Ohio State, an in-depth look into the Ohio State sexual abuse scandal that went unnoticed for two decades. The other docuseries involves Karen Read's murder case, which is fresh in the news after the stunning verdict. Documentaries are not the only projects on HBO Max. There is an abundance of underrated movies ready to stream with the click of a button. One of those movies is Cleaner, a new action thriller about a former soldier thrust into a hostage situation. Stream Cleaner and two more movies below. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. Cleaner (2025) Die Hard on/in a (blank) is one of the most successful action movie templates. Die Hard on a bus is Speed, Die Hard on a plane is Air Force One, and Die Hard on a ship is Under Siege. Let's add Die Hard in a London skyscraper, Cleaner, to the canon. Daisy Ridley stars as Joey Locke, a former soldier who escaped her London household with her brother (Matthew Tuck) after years of abuse. Joey now works as a window cleaner at One Canada Square, the third-tallest building in the UK. On the day Michael accompanies her to work, environmental extremists, led by Marcus Blake (Clive Owen), interrupt an energy company's gala and take the guests as hostages. Unbeknownst to Joey, Michael is stuck in the building. It's time for the window cleaner to channel her inner John McClane and save the day. Stream Cleaner on Max. Dredd (2012) One of the mysteries surrounding Dredd is the involvement of writer Alex Garland. Did he take over for Pete Travis and direct the movie? After over a decade of rumors, Garland finally came clean this year to GQ, admitting to 'ghost-directing' the sci-fi action film. Knowing Garland's filmmaking style now, it's clear the Ex Machina director stepped in and improved Dredd. Based on the Judge Dredd comic strip, Dredd introduces audiences to Mega City One, an overcrowded and violent metropolis on the East Coast. Nearly 20,000 crimes are reported daily. The only semblance of the law exists with the judges — cops who are judge, jury, and executioner. The most prominent judge is Dredd (Karl Urban). The famed judge and a rookie judge (Olivia Thirlby) must restore order to a 200-story high-rise apartment run by drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey). With terrific special effects and gritty action, Garland might be the best sci-fi filmmaker currently in Hollywood. Stream Dredd on Max. Love Lies Bleeding (2024) Love Lies Bleeding has the vibes of Natural Born Killers and a Coen Brothers neo-noir. Set in 1989, the romantic thriller chronicles the lesbian relationship between Lou (Kristen Stewart), a hermit-like gym owner, and Jackie (Katy O'Brian), a bodybuilder preparing for a competition in Las Vegas. The two sleep together and fall in love. Lou even supplies Jackie with steroids to compete at a higher level. Things take a sinister turn after Lou and Jackie are caught in a murder conspiracy that requires a cover-up. We'll stop there to avoid spoilers. Expect blood, sex, and violence in this brutal and effective thriller. Stream Love Lies Bleeding on Max.

Our Yorkshire Farm's Miles Owen gives sad verdict on dad Clive - as he's caught between two factions at Ravenseat
Our Yorkshire Farm 's Miles Owen shared a sad verdict on his dad Clive as he revealed he's caught between two factions at Ravenseat Farm. Miles, 17, dad Owen, 69, mum Amanda, 50, and his eight siblings are best known for appearing on the Channel 4 show between 2018 and 2022. The show followed the lives of the Owen family at the farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, and has then gone on to star in Our Farm Next Door, which launched on our screens last year. His brother Reuben landed his own spin-off, Reuben: Life In The Dales, and Miles recently spoke out about what he would like to do in the future while appearing on the show. But he mentioned a 'balance' because he's halving his time between helping his sibling Reuben, and his dad too, especially in the fallout from his hip replacement surgery. Miles said: 'I really enjoyed growing up on the farm. 'One of my jobs was doing the chickens, collecting the eggs, looking after them, and feeding them. 'I'm doing more work with the cows and the sheep at the moment. 'I've talked to Reuben about the digging side and me helping more, getting more involved with his company, which I wouldn't mind at all... 'But, I've got to balance it, because dad's getting on and he's slowing down a bit. 'So, I've got to help dad when it's needed and I can't leave him to manage. 'Then, when Reuben needs it and he gets stuck, I need to go and help him.' It comes after Amanda announced her epic career change away from Ravenseat Farm. The 50-year-old shepherdess is set to bring out her own children's books. Christmas Tales From The Farm, illustrated by Becca Hall, will be out in September and is written for eight to 12-year-olds. Speaking about her new project, Amanda said: 'I am absolutely delighted to have been given the opportunity to enter the world of children's books with renowned publishers, Puffin. 'As a mother myself I know firsthand the joy that books can bring to young readers and how a book can stay with you into adulthood, take you places and open up new worlds.' She added: 'To be taken under the wing of the Puffin family, publishers of some of my childhood favourites, is something that I could never have dreamed of being possible.' Amanda, who split from her husband Clive in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, also took to her Instagram page to share the news with fans. She said: 'I wanted to share with you the news of the latest addition to the farm... nope, not another woolly bundle of joy, no, it's my new children's book! 'What's it about you ask? What else could it be about other than the farm, the animals, children, nature, countryside and it's published by Puffin. 'And it's going to be out on 11th September.' Amanda wrote on the caption: 'News flash!! 'My first ever children's book Christmas Tales From the Farm is coming soon! Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen, 21, forced to call for rescue after nightmare driving accident leaves him stranded in 'deadly' bog
Reuben Owen, 21, was forced to call for rescue after a nightmare driving accident left him stranded in a 'deadly' bog. The second series of Reuben's show Reuben Owen: Life In The Dales, about his attempt to grow a machinery business with friends, is currently airing on Channel 5. It is a spin-off from Our Yorkshire Farm, the beloved reality show that introduced us to the Owen family and followed their life on their farm in the Yorkshire Dales from 2018 to 2022. And it comes hot on the heels of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, which sees parents Amanda and Clive, who split in 2022, attempt to renovate a nearby farmhouse while co-parenting their nine children. But their second eldest child Reuben found himself in major difficulty in the latest episode of his own programme. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. But elsewhere in the episode, Reuben and his gang, along with his 13-year-old brother Sid, also took his new three-tonne 4x4 cruiser out for a spin The instalment mainly focussed on his preparations for the Christmas season, delivering a massive tree to the local town for the lights switch-on event. But elsewhere in the episode, Reuben and his gang, along with his 13-year-old brother Sid, also took his new three-tonne 4x4 cruiser out for a spin. He was warned it might not be a good plan to drive the large vehicle cross-country, across the family's 2,000-acre Ravenseat Farm in the Swaledale valley of Yorkshire. Reuben, though, maintained he thought the test drive would be fine: 'What the hell is going to happen?' The young farmer was soon proven wrong, as the vehicle sank into a bog - which the programme's voiceover added had been 'the demise of many a poor sheep'. He said, 'I just felt us go very low, very fast!', before trying to drive the car out of the muddy ground - to no avail: 'Oh dear, that is not ideal.' Laughing at the blunder, the team then tried to push and shove the car out of its stuck position - but that did not work either. Reuben was eventually forced to resort to calling his younger brother Miles for 'salvation': 'We are stuck - would you come and rescue me please?' Reuben had previously maintained he thought the test drive would be fine: 'What the hell is going to happen?' But when the vehicle sank, he said, 'I just felt us go very low, very fast!', before trying to drive the car out of the muddy ground - to no avail: 'Oh dear, that is not ideal' Laughing at the blunder, the team then tried to push and shove the car out of its stuck position - but that did not work either With a collective effort, the team eventually managed to free the vehicle. At the end of the episode, he reflected on how far he had come with his machinery business: 'This year brings us to the fourth year in business and it's been great fun. 'Miles has come up a lot and hopefully his role will be even bigger next year and Sid is doing what he can. 'I never thought I'd end up with my mates and brothers working for me.' Reuben's own error with the vehicle comes after another of his team similarly got into trouble on the roads. A recent instalment of his show saw the gang filling in some potholes on a private road to his parents' farm. The 21-year-old said: 'It's quite nice to be doing jobs for your family. You tend to put your own jobs off and I have been putting this job off for ages. 'But mum has finally given me enough stick that today, we are going to tackle it.' The crew started work using Reuben's brand-new, 26-tonne loading shovel - but trouble soon started when his farmhand pal Capper got the equipment stuck in the mud The crew started the work using Reuben's brand-new, 26-tonne loading shovel, which his farmhand pal Capper took for a spin on some grassy ground. But trouble soon started when Capper got the equipment stuck in the mud. 'It's just bad, isn't it?', Reuben said, as his friend explained how the error happened: 'I do apologise Reuben. So, yeah, I parked it there [on the grass], thinking [the ground] was hard. 'It looked hard. But then it sunk and got more stuck and more stuck and more stuck. I'm just going to fill in my P45 now, while I'm on it. Today is not my day.' As Capper anxiously rubbed his face, the crew tried to come up with ideas as to how to resolve it. Reuben said sharply: 'What did I say before you parked it there?' His friend replied: 'Not on the grass. I'm a k***head. Employee of the month it is. I don't know whether to laugh or cry or both.' As his crew looked on in apprehension, Reuben tried to get the machinery unstuck - but to no avail. To make matters worse, Amanda soon arrived, with her other two sons Miles and Sid - so there was no concealing the stuck machine and churned-up ground. 'Does this alter the timeframe for me getting my road mended?', she joked. She continued: 'Well, I've just come down to see how Reuben is coming on with mending my road but he seems to have not mended the road and he also seems to be wrecking the field. 'And even better, it's not my field, it's my next door neighbour's, so it looks like things aren't going to plan and actually looks like a bit of a disaster at the moment. 'Look at Reuben's little face - even he is completely stumped as to what to do.' His co-worker Sonny agreed: 'I've never seen Reuben so disappointed. He's a bit upset but we'll get it out.' Leaping into action, Reuben soon came up with a plan to resolve the issue - while Capper headed down to talk to the neighbours. Soon able to make jokes about it, Reuben laughed: 'You know when you just feel like you shouldn't have got out of bed this morning?' Amanda replied: 'I'll tell you something - your dad's going to kill you.' But things started looking up when Reuben decided to use a two-tonne, 60-year-old tractor, known as the Major, to dislodge the machinery. Though the strain on the tractor was visible, the shovel soon started to come unstuck. Pleasantly surprised, Amanda said: 'I'm impressed. I didn't think it'd do that. 'I'm proud of them. And to be quite honest with you, Reuben does seem to enjoy a bit of a challenge. 'He likes problem solving and anything that involves him getting the old tractor out and making bad things go good.' She finished: 'I'm not thrilled about it and it looks like I'm going to have to wait a little bit longer to get my road mended but good old Reuben.'
