Queensland police charge third man over alleged murder of 52-year-old
A third man has been charged with murder and torture over the death of a 52-year-old man in Brisbane's south-west earlier this year. Police allege the man was assaulted near Rudyard Street in Inala on the evening of January 6. He arrived at the Logan Hospital after midnight with head injuries and died the next day. Ten days later a 31-year-old Birkdale man and a 32-year-old Griffin man were charged with murder, grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, kidnapping and torture in connection to the man's death. On Monday police charged a 26-year-old Cleveland man with murder and 17 other offences including armed robbery, kidnapping, torture and trafficking dangerous drugs. Detective Acting Inspector Daniel Cunningham said the investigation had been "long-running and complex". The man is expected to face the Brisbane Magistrate's court later on Monday.
