Claudia Winkleman unveils new look as she shares post-surgery snap
Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman has shared a candid snap from her hospital bed after undergoing eye surgery - and warned fans not to zoom in on her eye TV presenter Claudia Winkleman has revealed she has undergone eye surgery - and she can't don her trademark heavy eyeliner for weeks as she recovers. The Strictly Come Dancing co-host was flooded with support as she shared a candid update with her fans on Friday night. Posing next to a medical professional, Claudia, 53, looked unrecognisable without her usual heavy fake tan and smokey eye make-up as she donned a hospital gown for the picture. Captioning the image, The Traitors host told her Instagram followers: "This amazing human makes me see. He's operated on my eyes before and he did it again today. No eyeliner for weeks and I sleep in goggles (no words) but I'm eternally grateful. "Do NOT zoom in on my left eye - it's wonky. Thank you Julian. I paid for the treatment, this isn't an ad. I just love him. It's very possible I'm still a bit sedated. Night, night." Gogglebox star Izzi Warner was one of the first comment on Claudia's post, writing: "We still have the costume and Bobby is willing to wear the eye liner for you if you need a stand in Claudia! Happy healing." "You look beautiful Claudia," Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz told the TV star, with a fan adding: "He did my eye surgery about 8 years ago! Played rock music as he did it. He told me it would be life changing and he was right. Amazing man!" Claudia's health update comes just days on from the popular star being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King's Birthday Honours. The mum-of-three presenter was honoured on last week alongside her Strictly Come Dancing co-host, Tess Daly, for services to broadcasting. Claudia said: "I am incredibly grateful to receive this honour. It's a real privilege to work with extraordinarily talented people and I have only got this because of them. "So this is for the BBC, the traitors and the faithful, for pianos and for the cha cha. I will buy a hat and am taking my mum. I am ridiculously lucky and will celebrate with Tess by doing a paso doble." Born and raised in London, she studied history of art at Cambridge University and after graduating began her career as a TV and radio presenter, fronting a range of BBC TV shows including Comic Relief and The Great British Sewing Bee. She also presented on BBC Radio 2 until 2024, hosting different programmes on the station including the comedy quiz series Hot Gossip, the Claudia Winkleman Arts Show and Claudia On Sunday. In 2004, she joined BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, presenting its weekday companion show It Takes Two until she passed it to broadcaster Zoe Ball, with her taking on the Sunday night results show alongside Tess Daly. The presenter joined Tess for the main show every Saturday from 2014, after Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down. The Bafta-winning presenter is also behind the hit BBC game show The Traitors and won best entertainment performance at the 2023 awards. She will be fronting its charity spin-off series, The Celebrity Traitors, in which 19 famous faces will enter the castle in the Highlands, including comedian Alan Carr, actor and broadcaster Sir Stephen Fry and retired diver Tom Daley.

Every single season of The Traitors around the world and how to watch
It can feel like a long old year in between new seasons of The Traitors –sigh – but the waiting time might just provide the perfect opportunity for you to delve into one of the many international off-shoots. Loosely based on the party game Mafia, the murder mystery game show has such a winning formula its proven successful in several territories. The gripping twists and turns can be found everywhere from the US to Australia and New Zealand, as well as the one that started it all in the Netherlands. Once you delve into the different versions, it will start to feel like every country has its own version (because it does). Every season of The Traitors has a few fundamentals. There is a group of 20 or so contestants, who are divided up into Faithfuls and Traitors, with the Traitors secretly convening each night to murder a Faithful. The high-stakes drama comes from the roundtables each evening, when the contestants vote to banish the person they most suspect of hiding a traitorous identity. In between these moments of melodrama, there are challenges with far lower stakes to break up the tension and get some of the cash prize on offer in the bag. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video So here is your comprehensive guide to the international off-shoots of The Traitors and how you can watch them in the UK. With over 20 international versions in existence, there are far more versions of the show but, alas, most of them aren't available to watch in the UK. Want to get all the latest news and predictions for the best and most dramatic show this new year? Join our The Traitors WhatsApp channel for live episode coverage, behind-the-scenes gossip and a place to recover from all the cliffhangers. Simply click on this link, select 'Join Chat' and you're in! Don't forget to turn on notifications! In that pile is the original show De Verraders, the Dutch version that premiered in 2021. They probably couldn't have anticipated what it would go on to achieve as a franchise… Replacing Claudia Winkleman is the suave actor Alan Cummings, who brings an arsenal of tartan suits to the Scottish castle. Unlike in the British version, the contestants are largely made up of former reality TV stars or people tangential to fame. Perhaps because they're a batch of celebs (many of them with a play-up-to-cameras background in reality TV), but the slanging match quota is far higher on the US version. As is the duplicity. It's a more brutal approach to the show but certainly makes for some jaw-dropping roundtable moments. Like when Zac Efron's acting ability caught a stray. The Traitors US is available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Airing on CTV in Canada, this version of the show – also referred to as Les Traîtres – already has two seasons under its belt, with a third on the way. French Canadian actress Karine Vanasse is a cool and mysterious host on this version of The Traitors, presiding over The Manoir Rouville-Campbell in the Montérégie région of Canada, which is their equivalent for the Scottish castle. The Traitors Canada is available to stream on Apple TV Plus under Les Traîtres. De Verraders (Netherlands) Zrádci (Czech Republic) Forræder (Denmark) Petolliset (Finland) Les Traîtres (France) Die Verräter (Germany) Az Árulók (Hungary) The Traitors India HaBogdim (Israel) The Traitors Italia Forræder (Norway) The Traitors Zdrajcy (Poland) Traitors España It's been said that compared to our version of the show, the Australian spin-off was more tactical in its gameplay – instead of just banishing people on the basis of nothingness hunches like the latest batch of UK contestants. Hosted by Aussie actor Rodger Corser, the second season even mixed civilian and celebrity contestants. Yet it was also announced The Traitors Australia would not be back after said second season, due to low ratings, but you never know if it might some day return. The Traitors Australia is available to stream on BBC iPlayer. There's a brand-spanking-new season of this offshoot of The Traitors for you to dive into right now. The New Zealand spin-off series has just dropped on iPlayer, with all 12 episodes now available to stream while the show airs on BBC Three. The second season of the show sees 22 normie New Zealanders descend on Claremont Manor, which sits at the foot of Mount Horrible – real name – in Timaru. The spin-off sees Claudia Winkleman's hosting shoes filled by New Zealand TV presenter Paul Henry, who also hosts the New Zealand version of The Chase, so he's the local equivalent of Bradley Walsh. The Traitors New Zealand is available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Known locally as Förrädarna, the Swedish version of The Traitors is hosted by the Swedish-Serbian actor Dragomir Mrsic. With three seasons to its name, there is also a fourth on the way. More Trending @vaultofechoes shared their verdict on Reddit, writing: 'An enjoyable enough cast even if not always the most strategic (on either end), some solid intrigue and good Traitor picks make this a worthwhile watch. 'This version does not have the utterly mind-blowing moments this franchise delivers at its peak, IMO, but I enjoyed it and no one is too insufferable. Sometimes, that's pretty good as it is!' Stephen Fry gives an insight into his 'emotionally violent' stint on Celebrity Traitors
Stephen Fry gave an insight into his 'emotionally violent' stint on Celebrity Traitors this week. Celebrity Traitors will once again be hosted by Claudia Winkleman with the line-up of contestants making their way to Ardross Castle to kick off filming. The comedian, 67, likened his time on the series to 'a Chinese foot massage' as he praised the programme. Speaking on The Show People podcast, Stephen explained: 'It was a bit like a Chinese foot massage. You know it is absolutely agony but you sort of want to do it again. It is emotionally violent but you kind of love it. 'Obviously, I can't say a word about what is in this recently recorded celebrity version I suppose. I am certainly not telling you if I am a traitor or a faithful. I am one or the other. 'I have said no to any number of Strictlys and Get Me Out of Heres as it is just not my kind of thing. But this, I watched the first and second series and it is such a clever game.' He added: 'It's so extraordinary what it does to the psychology of the individual. And I just thought it would be really interesting to play it. And what an opportunity to do so. And that's what I found.' The celebrities who will transform into Traitors and Faithfuls include a variety of actors; Stephen, Ruth Codd, Celia Imrie, Tameka Empson and Mark Bonnar. Comedians Alan Carr, Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson and Lucy Beaumont will also take part, joining singers Paloma Faith, Cat Burns and Charlotte Church. Also confirmed for the show are presenters Jonathan Ross, Clare Balding and Kate Garraway, Olympic diver Tom Daley, rugby player Joe Marler, historian and writer David Olusoga and YouTuber Niko Omilana. Missing from the confirmed line-up was actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, who was heavily rumoured to be taking part. Comedian Lucy became the last star to sign up for the show on Monday following her shock split from fellow comedian Jon Richardson. The Award-winning funny woman, 40, is said to be keen to 'make more of a name for herself' with audiences and will be heading off to the show's Scottish castle to begin filming within the next few days. A source told The Sun: 'Lucy is a massive fan of the show and is so excited about getting stuck in at Ardross Castle.' They added: 'After her split from Jon, she has been working really hard to make more of a name for herself and Celebrity Traitors is the ideal opportunity.' MailOnline have contacted Lucy's reps and BBC for comment. As excitement increases for the Celebrity Traitors, BBC bosses took extra precautions to keep the cast under wraps ahead of its reveal, following a series of leaks. According to The Sun, executives put in place a military-style operation to transport the all-star cast to Ardross Castle. Instead of flying into Inverness Airport from their homes across the globe, the celebrities will travel by several means including rail, air, car, and boat. And a no-fly zone is officially in place over host Claudia 's Highlands HQ to stop drone photographers from securing any images. A source told the publication: 'For a show with secrecy and shocking plot twists at its heart, navigating the celebrity version has been a real puzzler. 'Casting the likes of TV presenter Kate Garraway, former rugby star Joe Marler, and singer Paloma Faith creates a situation which is a lot more open to leaks and gossip than recruiting a call centre manager from Liverpool or a retired opera singer. 'So execs have worked really hard to lock down every inch of the production.' The source added that instead of a simple travel process, celebrities will arrive via various methods of transport. The source also claimed that a no-fly zone has already been put in place to stop any preparations from being snapped. A spokesperson for the BBC declined to comment.
