Wayne Gretzky's daughter Paulina filmed in awkward moment at 2016 U.S. Open by Oakmont cameraman (Image via Getty) Paulina Gretzky, Wayne Gretzky's daughter, recorded an unpleasant incident at the 2016 U. S. Open; she showed up to support her boyfriend, Dustin Johnson, who plays golf. Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania hosted the June 19, 2016, tournament. Johnson believed this was a really important day. He won his first major title. Paulina Gretzky filmed closely during Dustin Johnson's big win at U.S. Open Paulina, the daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, was by his side. She wore a short white dress and cheered for him through the final round. But something else caught fans' attention that day. FOX Sports was providing coverage of the event. Many viewers observed that their cameras showed Paulina repeatedly. One time she climbed the steps with Dustin and a cameraman shot her from behind. She seemed to be adjusting her dress to avoid riding up. On television, the instant seemed clumsy. People watching felt it was too much. They thought the camera angle was unnecessary. The focus was supposed to be on golf, not on Paulina. Some fans said it felt uncomfortable to watch. Others believed it went too far. Paulina Gretzky's experience sparked social media firestorm The clip quickly spread online. Many viewers shared their thoughts on social media. One person on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, 'This is just plain creepy.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Classic Solitaire , Built for Desktop Play Solitaire Download Undo Another said, 'The cameraman needs to chill. This is not part of the game.' Some said it looked more like entertainment coverage than sports. A few users even joked that Wayne Gretzky himself must have been furious. Even though there was a lot of online backlash, FOX Sports never gave a public reply. They didn't address the moment or the viewers' complaints. But the story stuck around. People kept talking about it after the event. Paulina and Dustin have been together since 2009. They got engaged in 2013 and were married in 2022. They now have two kids. Paulina has always supported Dustin at big tournaments. Now, in 2025, the U.S. Open is back at Oakmont. That old clip has come back into the spotlight. Many fans still remember that moment and are talking about it again.

Afternoon murder shocker in Bhowanipore
1 2 Kolkata: A 35-year-old jewellery store manager was fatally stabbed in broad daylight following a road rage incident on Beninandan Street in Bhowanipore, which falls under Kalighat police station, on Friday afternoon. The victim, Soumen Ghara, was originally from Udaynarayanpur in Howrah but lived at the shop building where he worked. He was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by a local man, Asesh Sarkar, also known as Piklu. Cops said Sarkar is a ruffian, and locals claimed he has charges of extortion against him. When Sarkar's teenage son Ankur attempted to intervene, he, too, was attacked and sustained severe head injuries. He is admitted to SSKM Hospital and is stated to be stable. The incident unfolded between 2.30 pm and 3 pm during renovation work at the gold-and-silver shop where Ghara was a manager. According to locals, a goods vehicle that arrived to collect debris from the renovation site accidentally hit the food shop owned by local businessman Sandeep Agrawal, damaging the shop's signboard and triggering an argument between the driver and Agrawal. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Classic Solitaire , Built for Desktop Play Solitaire Install Now Undo Hearing the commotion, Ghara stepped out to mediate. Locals claimed there was a settlement. However, at this point, Sarkar reportedly arrived at the scene and began creating a disturbance. The situation escalated when Ghara got into a dispute with him. Sarkar suddenly left the spot for his residence but returned soon after. He was initially seen trying to land punches on Ghara. "Before we could realise, Sarkar produced a knife and began stabbing Ghara in the chest, abdomen, and neck. Ghara collapsed, bleeding profusely," said Suman Pal, a witness. Ankur rushed to the scene, but his father allegedly turned the weapon on him, hitting him on his head, before fleeing the spot. Locals ran to help the victims and found both bleeding on the ground. Both were taken to SSKM Hospital, where doctors pronounced Ghara dead on arrival. Another local said, "After the truck hit a shop, there was a big commotion. Then I saw a fight break out. One of the men stabbed Ghara. But there were several people standing close by, and they all fled after the incident. Ghara lay on the road till his shop employees came and took him to hospital." Joint CP (crime & traffic) Rupesh Kumar said: "On Friday, around 3 pm, an argument took place at 15, Beninandan Street. A few minutes later, one person stabbed Ghara. He was taken to SSKM Hospital with stab injuries and declared brought dead." Cops suggest there might have been tensions between the victim and the accused regarding parking issues outside their shops. An officer noted, "The victim was not directly involved in the brawl and had only tried to intervene. It defies logic why he was stabbed multiple times." CCTV footage, showing a person running away, is being examined, and residents are also being questioned, he added. According to sources, Sarkar has a history of criminal activities in the area, including allegations of extortion. The police have detained two persons in this regard, but cops did not confirm if Sarkar was among the two. A murder case was initiated. LOVE ACTUALLY
A few weeks ago, news surfaced of TMC MP Mahua Moitra marrying Pinaki Misra, a former BJD MP, in an intimate ceremony in Berlin on May 30. With both being significantly older – Moitra is 50 while her husband is 65 - by societal standards to walk down the aisle and that too for the second time in their respective lives, the news naturally garnered public attention. But this evolving narrative is not just limited to the elites, highlighting that love and companionship are universal desires, regardless of age or social status. Across Odisha and elsewhere in the country, more and more individuals, like divorcees, widowers and those who didn't marry in their youth, are finding love later in life. Sociologists opined that following the loss of a spouse or divorce, many seniors are actively seeking companionship, valuing the emotional support and shared experiences that come with partnership. Improved healthcare and longer life expectancies, besides changing social attitudes, have made it more acceptable for older adults to pursue new relationships. Shukadeba Naik, a retired professor of sociology of Sambalpur University, said that while remarriages in older age groups are more common among the elite, the desire for companionship transcends social classes. "Late marriages are often about seeking partners with whom one is compatible. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Classic Solitaire , Built for Desktop Play Solitaire Install Now Undo Arranged marriages used to be family-to-family relations, which meant fewer breakdowns, but now it's more individualistic and people are more open to finding new partners when relationships don't work out," he added. Take for example Shankar Sahoo, a 53-year-old employee of Rourkela Steel Plant. In 1999, Shankar married a woman, who was also a working professional, and had two daughters with her. But four years into the marriage, the couple's relationship was on the rocks and they eventually divorced in 2015. The separation agreement stipulated that Shankar would bear the educational and wedding expenses of his daughters, who stayed with their mother. Despite the emotional toll of the divorce, Shankar found solace in the support of his parents, who lived with him -- and in the company of a woman 18 years his junior whom he is now married to and who is the mother of his nine-year-old son. "After the divorce, I had decided not to marry again due to the trauma I experienced," Shankar said. But his family encouraged him to consider remarrying. Today, he has a blended family that includes his daughters as well. "My wife has brought happiness and peace not only to me but to my entire family as she accepted my daughters whole-heartedly," Shankar said. Similarly, a businesswoman, who lost her husband to dengue shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2010, gave marriage a second chance when she lost her father. "My father was a huge support system after my first husband's passing. It was him who helped me take over my late husband's business and he raised my daughter as well. After my father's passing, I felt a void, which is when my family encouraged me to consider marrying again," she said. And in 2017, through an arranged marriage set up, she exchanged vows with a man who had also lost his spouse and had a daughter as well. "I never thought I would marry again, but it was in my destiny," she said, adding, "After my second marriage, my daughter and I found a new home and happiness." Naik added that with both men and women becoming career-oriented, the average age of marriage is getting delayed for the middle class as people, who don't want to get married until they become financially independent or achieve something. Rabi Behera, a social activist from Jagatsinghpur, married just months shy of his 50th birthday. Behera's journey to matrimony was not a conventional one. Engrossed in his passion for social activism, the thought of marriage took a backseat. It wasn't until he met his current wife, Sujata Barik, at a workshop that the idea of marriage became a reality. Both Behera and Barik, a fellow social activist from Kendrapada, found common ground in their dedication to social justice and soon, they became romantically involved. "Social justice was a common issue we both worked for and we got attracted to each other and got married," Behera added. Barik echoed similar sentiments, having initially decided against marriage. "I had kind of decided that I won't get married. But when he proposed, I decided to take the plunge," she said. Today, the couple resides in Bhubaneswar and is raising their seven-year-old daughter, balancing their family life with their ongoing commitment to social causes. Anup Dash, a retired professor of Utkal University, said, " With rising cases of divorces, many are looking to remarry and age is no longer a barrier as people seek companionship and compatible partners." IN PICS: A unique Fenway Park replica baseball field that is attracting Red Sox fans globally
Image Source: Getty Tucked away in the quiet town of Bells, Texas, is a remarkable homage to arguably the most legendary stadium in baseball history. With the official colors of Fenway, Stephen and Lana Newton have sculpted a beautiful Whiffle ball replica of the historic ballpark, featuring a wife and husband whose signature elements include the surging Green Monster, Pesky's Pole, and even a Citgo sign. What began as a simple concept soon developed into a global location for Red Sox fans and baseball lovers. The story behind the backyard Fenway Park replica This amazing project was inspired by the young son of the Newtons, who came after a memorable trip to Fenway Park in Boston in 2023 and developed a love for baseball. Fueled by his excitement, Stephen and Lana decided to construct a whiffle ball field that emulated the spirit and character of Fenway, but at a smaller scale, with the same few essential details. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ColorsTV (@colorstv) Using paint colors matched to the original park's distinctive 'Green Monster' and 'Foul Pole Yellow,' the backyard field — now known as Home Run Ranch — became a place for more than just family fun. They added a replica scoreboard and personalized seats alongside the Green Monster, transforming the area into an undeniably impressive, ballpark-level tribute. How the Fenway Park replica is bringing fans together Located in Texas, the Fenway Park replica has been a tourist destination in the years since it opened in 2021, attracting visitors from around the world, and is especially appreciated by Red Sox diehards for the attempt to replicate their home ballpark away from home by over 2,000 miles. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Classic Solitaire , Built for Desktop Play Solitaire Download Undo The visitors told employees that they have good memories of when they went to attend the games at Fenway, and appreciated the devotion the Newton family had put into this team. A die-hard Red Sox fan, with a nod to the old-school feel of the team that drafted him in the 1980s, said that walking on the field brought back memories of Red Sox games and the Kenmore Square scene. The replica has turned into a landmark in the community, providing a physical link to the sport — and now the team — in a place where it turns out to be just fine. Russell Westbrook has declined $3.4M player option and becomes unrestricted free agent
(Image Source - Getty Images) At 36 years old and just recovering from hand surgery, Russell Westbrook has made a surprising announcement: he's choosing to opt out of his $3.4 million player option with the Denver Nuggets and will enter unrestricted free agency on June 30. After putting up a decent 13.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds across 75 games last season—and having surgery to fix two fractures in his right hand Westbrook is heading into the offseason with some serious leverage. How Westbrook's 13.3 PPG and bench leadership reshape his free agency narrative In his inaugural season with the Nuggets, Westbrook recorded 13.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in 75 games (36 of which were starts), shooting 44.9% from the field. He suffered a broken right hand late in the season and had successful surgery to mend two fractures, yet he still played throughout the playoffs. Although he's not the triple-double powerhouse he used to be, he proved to be efficient, resilient, and a valuable veteran presence as Denver's sixth man and occasional starter. For many veterans, turning down guaranteed money isn't the norm—especially for someone still earning the lowest salary of his 17-year career. However, Westbrook seems to be motivated by factors beyond just his paycheck. He's seeking more freedom, a significant role, and maybe even a chance to win his first NBA championship. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Classic Solitaire , Built for Desktop Play Solitaire Download Undo As June 30 gets closer, he faces a choice: return to Denver, likely at the veteran minimum, or look for a more substantial role in the market. His decision to opt-out has opened up a lot of cap flexibility; the Nuggets are currently around $10.6 M beneath the second salary cap apron, which gives them access to the $5.7 M taxpayer mid-level exception and veteran minimum slots. This allows Denver to chase after affordable veterans or seek trade assets without entering the expensive luxury tax bracket. With big contracts already in play for Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. , and Aaron Gordon, moving on from Westbrook's contract was a tactical choice. With no restrictions as a free agent on June 30, Westbrook's future is completely open. He's likely looking for a one-year veterans-minimum deal with playoff teams that need backcourt playmaking and leadership. Meanwhile, Denver has to find a way to replace his scoring off the bench Jalen Pickett is now the only backup point guard left and they could either sign two veterans at the minimum or make a trade to enhance their depth. Russell Westbrook's choice to turn down his player option goes beyond finances—it's a declaration. Fresh off hand surgery, with a great season in scoring and assists, along with key playoff performances, he's taking a chance on himself one last time. Also Read: Peja Stojakovic Accuses Rich Paul of Blackmail in De'Aaron Fox Trade From Sacramento Kings to San Antonio Spurs For the Denver Nuggets, this is a well-planned financial reset. With free agency starting on June 30, all attention will be on Westbrook's next destination and if this new phase will finally lead him to the championship ring he's been after.
