Inside celebrity holiday hotspot that's a favourite of Dua Lipa and Chloe Sims

Celebrities definitely know how to party but now a new destination is proving more popular than Ibiza. Famous stars like Dua Lipa and Chloe Sims from The Only Way is Essex have all holidayed there and it's less pricey too While Ibiza in Spain is still the top celebrity vacation spot, leading in both celebrity visits and 20million Instagram tags, it's not the only party destination attracting the 'in crowd'. A recent study by Otherworld has identified the top celebrity-approved holiday spots of 2025 based on confirmed celebrity sightings from 2023 to 2025. These destinations were ranked using Instagram hashtag counts, Google searches, number of fine dining venues, and average cost per night at a 5-star hotel. ‌ And while the Dominican Republic came in second, you may be surprised by which destination slipped into third. ‌ Tulum in Mexico has a spectacular coastline, overlooks the Caribbean Sea and has welcomed famous holidaymakers including Lottie Moss and Austin Butler to name just a few. It's slightly more popular on Instagram than the Dominican Republic, with 9.4 million tags. But what really sets it apart is the cost, at $251 per night - or £186 - for a five-star hotel, making it the most budget-friendly luxury spot on this list. However, some visitors warn this magical paradise is losing its appeal because it's becoming overrun with tourists. Tulum attracts close to two million visitors every year - a number expected to rise sharply following the opening of Tulum International Airport. Travel experts over at Lonely Planet still hail the destination for its 'cobalt water', stunning beaches, and close proximity to ancient Mayan ruins as well as the underground world of cenotes. Often dubbed 'the new Dubai' by the flock of influencers flying out there to impress their fans. You can fly to Tulum, Mexico from London, Manchester and Birmingham - with most routes including a stopover in New York. ‌ A spokesperson from Otherworld commented on the study: 'Some places attract stars because they're remote and private, others because they're easy to post about. What's interesting is how much that mix varies. "You've got destinations where everything's built around luxury, and others where it's about vibe and visibility. That difference is shaping how people, celebrity or not, think about where they want to go next.' Meanwhile, Ibiza, Spain is one of the top celebrity-approved vacation spots of 2025, with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Kendall Jenner spotted there in the last two years. ‌ The spot has over 20million Instagram tags, and offers the most fine dining options (136). Five-star hotels average $695 a night, which is less than many other luxury destinations. The Dominican Republic stands out for its number of luxury stays, with over 3,200 resorts and villas, more than any other place here. It may not be as Instagram-famous as Ibiza, but it still pulls strong celebrity interest, including Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. At $359 per night, it also offers some of the lowest five-star rates.

Chloe Sims looks worlds away from her days on TOWIE as she steps out in a sophisticated white blazer and satin trousers in New York

Chloe Sims looked worlds away from her days on TOWIE as she stepped out in a sophisticated white suit in New York on Wednesday. The former Only Way Is Essex star, 43, looked incredible in a fitted blazer which she layered over a tank top and satin wide legged trousers. The TV personality oozed glamour as she elevated her frame in a pair of stilettos and toted her belongings in a matching clutch. Styling her long brunette tresses in voluminous waves, Chloe accessorised with a gold chain necklace and chunky hoop earrings. Her new look is a far cry from her days on the reality show which she found fame on in 2011. Chloe starred on TOWIE for 10 years before leaving in 2021. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Chloe recently revealed the real reason she abruptly pulled her daughter from filming TOWIE. The reality star told MailOnline she felt uncomfortable by the way Madison, now 20, was treated when she appeared on the ITVBe series and instantly regretted putting her child on TV at such a young age. In an exclusive interview, the mother-of-one said she didn't allow Madi to use social media until she was 16 years old and even now she can't bear the teen having an online profile. Being a protective parent led Chloe to keep Madison out of the limelight as much as possible but she admits trolls have targeted her over their misbelief she was leaving her daughter behind. Chloe has revealed Madison was always in the background during filming and while she doesn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps on reality TV, she does see herself on stage. Speaking to MailOnline, Chloe said: 'I didn't show Madi a lot when I was on TOWIE. When she was little, I let her do a couple of scenes and I didn't like the way she was treated so I pulled her back out and said I didn't want her filming. 'Madi didn't understand because she was so young, and I thought this wasn't her choice and I'm putting her on TV, and this isn't something she has signed up to at five years old. 'I felt very protective of her, and I didn't want her on camera, and I tried to shield her from that whole world. The TV personality oozed glamour as she elevated her frame in a pair of stilettos and toted her belongings in a matching clutch The reality star has now swapped her busty party looks for a more sophisticated style; pictured 2011 'When I was filming TOWIE throughout those years a lot of people didn't realise that she was with me like when we went to Marbella, she was with me, her and her nan, they would be in the room with me. 'I was trying to do the right thing and protect my child, but I wasn't seen as a mother. Trolls would say, 'where's your daughter?' It was tricky navigating that. 'It's a scary decision putting your child on TV because you're exposing them. I'm quite a nervous person anyhow and I think the worst of things, I didn't want anyone looking at my daughter, I'm very protective. I do keep her out of the public eye as much as possible.' Chloe admits she dislikes her daughter being online because she can see how the pressures of social media are deeply affecting teenage girls. The TV star says if it wasn't for her career on the small screen, she wouldn't use Instagram as even as a 42 year old adult, it can damage her self-esteem. She said: 'I am a mum of a 19-year-old daughter. She is my best friend, she is so funny and has grown into her own person, but she is a little bit sassy sometimes, she has a lot of my personality. She is the love of my life. 'I didn't let Madi have social media for ages. I think she was 16 when I agreed to let her have it and I still hate her having it to this day, I can't bear it. If I wasn't in this industry, I wouldn't have it. If you want to feel bad about yourself, just have a little scroll. 'Luckily, she isn't pursuing a reality TV career, but Madison has a really great voice and is good at singing and likes performing arts and acting. 'She was going to drama school in LA. She can sing opera, she has an amazing voice, I don't know where she got it from because I can't sing a note. She's more into singing, which I'm happy for because it's an actual talent.' Despite starring on TOWIE, Celebs Go Dating, and her own series The House of Sims, Chloe says she dreads the idea of her daughter showing any interest in reality TV and her worst nightmare would be Madison joining the cast of Love Island. She argues the dating show needs to have more diverse body types and admits she finds watching the series 'difficult' as a parent.
