We have asked Wetherspoons if its existing Tuesday Steak Club and Fish Friday deals are also staying and will update this story when we have heard back. Tim Martin, Wetherspoon's founder and chairman, said: 'We believe that customers will welcome the pubs' new and existing value-for-money club deals." Bear in mind, the prices listed above might not be what you pay in your local Spoons as they can vary from branch to branch. You can find your nearest branch via the free-to-download app or via OTHER SPOONS NEWS Spoons is bringing back The Brunch Burger for the Father's Day weekend, from Friday to Sunday. It returned two years ago after a ten-year hiatus and was a fan favourite at the time with punters calling it "legendary". Last month, Spoons also closed a beloved pub in Coventry - The Spon Gate. Elsewhere, Spoons also launched a £2.99 breakfast deal in February, with customers able to get a breakfast muffin or small breakfast with soft or hot drink. There are also veggie options available, which are served between 8am and midday. The Sun also exclusively revealed in January Spoons had upped the price of a host of popular drinks and menu items across its pubs. The chain bumped up prices on drinks by 15p while meal deals were increased by 30p. The price rises saw the cost of a Guinness at the London and South Western branch in south west London go from £4.66 to £4.81. Meanwhile, the price of a Strongbow increased from £3.24 to £3.39. How can I save money at Wetherspoons? PUB-GOERS love Wetherspoons for its competitive pricing and low-cost meals - but did you know there are more ways to save money? Senior consumer reporter Olivia Marshall explains how. Free refills - Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day. Check a map - Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other. So if you're planning a pint at a Spoons, it's worth popping in nearby pubs to see if you're settling in at the cheapest. Choose your day - Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights. For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual. Pick-up vouchers - Students can often pick up voucher books in their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled. Get appy - The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table - but you don't need to be in the pub to use it. Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play. Check the date - Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry. It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14. As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival. Wetherspoon making huge menu change on Friday but not everyone will enjoy it
Wetherspoon is making a major alteration to its pub menus from this Friday as it brings back a favourite item. The pub chain's popular Brunch Burger will be making its comeback to menus on Friday, June 13, due to customer demand, reports However customers will only have a very short window to enjoy it as it's only staying on the menu for one weekend only. READ MORE: I flew with easyJet from Birmingham Airport and got extra legroom without asking Get breaking news on BirminghamLive WhatsApp, click the link to join The return of the Brunch Burger is being rolled out to coincide with Father's Day and will be on offer to customers who visit Wetherspoon pubs from Friday, June 13 until Sunday, June 15 inclusive. The customer-favourite is made of 100% British beef 6oz patty, American-style cheese, maple-cured bacon and a free-range fried egg, topped with a hash brown made from 100% British potato. The burger meal comes with chips, six beer-battered onion rings and a drink. Wetherspoon states it has more than 150 different drinks to choose from, including a range of regional craft beers. The majority of Wetherspoon pubs will be serving the meal over the Father's Day weekend for £9.99, if ordering a soft or non-alcoholic drink, or for £11.52 if ordering an alcoholic drink. Wetherspoon marketing executive James Vaughan said: "The Brunch Burger will return for one weekend only by popular demand. "I am confident that our customers will welcome its return to mark Father's Day." It comes after the pub chain added four new gourmet burgers to its menu last month, including a Cheese Meltdown, the Big Smoke, Buffalo and BBQ Stack. The new additions mean customers now have a choice of seven gourmet burgers to choose from in total, all of which come served with six beer-battered onion rings, iceberg lettuce, tomato and red onion, and chips or a side salad, on request. All of the burgers are made with 100% British beef and come freshly cooked to order, and traceable from farm to fork. Wetherspoon said the average price of a gourmet burger in 343 of its pubs is £10.19 with a soft drink, or £11.72 with an alcoholic drink, but prices may vary by location. Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson added: "We are always keen to offer our customers the widest choice of good quality meals at value-for-money prices. "We believe the four new burgers will prove popular with a wide range of customers at our pubs."

Wetherspoons to make huge menu change from today with three items axed
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) WETHERSPOONS is shaking up its menu today – and fans of steaks and grills won't be happy. From Wednesday, May 14, the pub giant will be ditching three major dishes – steaks, mixed grills and gammon – in a shock menu overhaul. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Wetherspoons' new selections of 'gourmet' burgers launches today Credit: Weatherspoons 2 It comes as steak, mixed grills, and gammon are scrapped from the menu Credit: Weatherspoons But it's not all bad news, as the chain is also rolling out a brand-new Korean-style chicken range along with three gourmet burgers packed with bold flavours. The move comes as bosses aim to freshen up the food offering and cut back on items branded 'loss-makers' after meat prices shot up. In an email sent to staff, Wetherspoons chief John Huston confirmed that the meats were being ditched 'after much debate', as part of a planned menu change. But in their place comes a 'mouthwatering' new selection, with Wetherspoons confident customers will lap it up. Here's what you can expect from today. What's being axed? From May 14, the following dishes will vanish from menus nationwide: All steaks Mixed grills Gammon The dishes have long been Wetherspoons staples, but have reportedly become too expensive to keep serving. What's new on the menu? In their place, a gourmet burger trio will land on plates across the UK – and it's not your average pub grub. The Big Smoke – Pulled BBQ beef brisket, American-style cheese and maple-cured bacon. Buffalo Burger – Fried buttermilk chicken breast with blue cheese, naga chilli sauce and melted cheese. Cheese Meltdown – American cheese layered with gooey Emmental and Cheddar cheese sauce. Prince William visits a J D Wetherspoons pub Each one will be built around a new 6oz patty, which becomes the new standard burger size going forward. Other Wetherspoons news Spoons also launched a £2.99 breakfast deal in February, with customers able to get a breakfast muffin or small breakfast with soft or hot drink. There are also veggie options available, which is served between 8am and midday. Meanwhile tea and toast, which comes with two slices and either jam or marmalade, is just £2.49. It's not been all good news for Wetherspoons punters in recent months though. The pub chain exclusively revealed to The Sun in January it had increased the price of a host of drinks and meal deals by up to 30p. The chain hiked prices on drinks by 15p while meal deals were bumped up by 30p. The price rises saw the cost of a Guinness at the London and South Western branch in south west London go from £4.66 to £4.81. Meanwhile, the price of a Strongbow increased from £3.24 to £3.39.

I tried Wetherspoons' new menu and it tasted better than KFC and Honest Burger
TUCKING into a juicy burger, I could've been in a posh chain like Honest Burger - but I was sat in Wetherspoons trying its new menu. The pub chain is adding posh burgers to its menu from tomorrow May 14 and I was surprised by how delicious they were. Advertisement 7 I got to try out the new gourmet burger menu before it launches on May 14 Credit: Paul Edwards 7 The new burgers are the Big Smoke, Cheese Meltdown, Buffalo and BBQ Stack Credit: Paul Edwards 7 Each of the burgers comes with onion rings and either chips or a salad as a side Credit: Paul Edwards There are four burgers to choose from - the Cheese Meltdown, the BBQ beef-filled Big Smoke, the spicy Buffalo chicken burger and the plant-based BBQ Stack. They cost £10.19 with a soft drink or £11.72 with an alcoholic drink - cheaper than you would get at a chain like Honest Burger, which costs £11.95 for a burger and side and extra for a drink. The chicken burger was way better than anything you'd get at KFC or McDonald's and everything seemed like very good value for money. That's especially as they all come with a side of onion rings and either chips or a salad. Advertisement More on Spoons Here's what I thought of each one... Cheese Meltdown 7 The Cheese Meltdown has either beef or chicken with a slice of American cheese and an emmental and cheddar cheese sauce Credit: Paul Edwards The aptly-named Cheese Meltdown is quite literally covered in a melted cheese sauce. It was messy to eat - but tasted great. Advertisement You can get this either with fried buttermilk chicken or a beef patty, but I tried the beef version. Most read in Money If you go for beef it's 732 calories or 839 if you get chicken. Some people might find it a little too rich, but as a cheese lover I really enjoyed the strong flavour here. 4.5/5 Advertisement Buffalo 7 The Buffalo features fried buttermilk chicken, Naga chilli sauce, American cheese and a blue cheese sauce Credit: Paul Edwards If you like your burgers with a slight kick, this one's for you. The Buffalo comes with fried buttermilk chicken topped with Naga chilli sauce, American cheese, and a delicious blue cheese sauce. Then to top it all off (quite literally) it comes with a chicken wing nestled on the burger bun. Advertisement The Naga chilli sauce had just the right amount of spice - enough to give it a bit of a zing but not so much that I had to reach for my bottle of water. It was also balanced nicely with the creamy blue cheese sauce at the bottom. The fried buttermilk chicken was nice and crispy, and I was impressed by the chicken wing too which had a slight citrus flavour. I'm personally a fan of a chicken burger and this one was a winner for me - although I actually preferred the beef burgers, but I think that's down to preference. Advertisement This one is 819 calories. 4/5 Big Smoke 7 The Big Smoke comes with either beef or fried chicken and is topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, American style cheese and maple cured bacon Credit: Paul Edwards I wouldn't have guessed it beforehand but this was hands-down my favourite. Advertisement Like the name suggests, this burger is full of rich smokey BBQ flavours. You can choose either a thick beef patty or fried buttermilk chicken, which is topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, American style cheese and maple cured bacon. I thought the combination of three different meats would be too much for me but the flavours combined wonderfully. The bacon was crispy (as it should be) and the BBQ sauce was the perfect combination of sweet and smokey. Advertisement Again it's a little messy, but it's worth it. Bear in mind, though, this one is the most calorific at 1,170 kcal with beef or 1,310 kcal with chicken. 5/5 BBQ Stack 7 The BBQ Stack has a plant-based patty, onion rings and a sweet and smokey BBQ sauce Credit: Paul Edwards This burger is TALL. I was a bit unsure of how to tackle the three thick onions sitting on top of the plant-based patty that's drizzled in smokey BBQ sauce. Advertisement But after squishing it down, I managed it. I think the burger could have been a little dry if it didn't have the BBQ sauce - something that I've found can be a problem with plant-based burgers. I liked the crispiness of the onion rings and again the BBQ sauce had the perfect sweet and smokey flavour. This was my least favourite of the four options, but I think as far as vegetarian burgers go it's pretty decent. Advertisement Plus, it's the least calorific at 439 kcal. 3/5 How often does Wetherspoons change its menu? Wetherspoons makes changes to its menus several times a year to give it a refresh and compete with rivals. As well as introducing its new gourmet burgers, the pub chain is also bringing in a range of Korean-style chicken meals. Advertisement However it's also scrapping some customer favourites. Steaks, mixed grills and gammon will be gone from the menu on May 14. A spokesperson said these were the "biggest loss-makers" and the chain is " confident that its menu provides a variety of choices and value-for- money meals ".
