Kelsey Grammer's Wife Kayte Is Pregnant With His 8th Child—2 Years After Couple Bought U.K. Home To Be Closer to Her Family

Kelsey Grammer is set to become a father of eight after People reported that his wife, Kayte Walsh, is pregnant with their fourth child. In images published by the outlet, Walsh, 46, is seen showing off her baby bump while enjoying an outing with Grammer, 70, in London this week. Two years earlier, the couple purchased a permanent home base in the U.K. to be closer to Wash's family, who hail from Bristol. The 'Cheers' actor and his spouse of 14 years—who share daughter Faith, 12, and sons Gabriel, 10, and James, 8—were pictured enjoying a stroll through a London park, taking full advantage of the balmy summer weather in the British capital. has contacted Grammer's spokesperson for comment. Walsh sported a long black sundress under a beige cardigan, while carrying a bottle of water and a shopping bag. Meanwhile, Grammer looked every inch the dapper dad in a pair of white shorts and a blue polo shirt, while accessorizing with a pair of aviator-style shades. Their outing in London—and their exciting news—comes just weeks after Grammer faced upset from residents of the rural town in which he purchased his U.K. property over his plans to tear down the historic dwelling. According to SWNS, locals in the quaint Somerset village where Grammer purchased a cottage in 2023 were outraged after the 'Frasier' star was given permission to demolish a cottage on the land to make way for a new four-bedroom abode. 'It's such a shame because it's a beautiful building with character, it's old, and it's part of the community,' local resident Wendy Osment, 74, told the outlet, according the New York Post. 'People have already taken a couple of the old cottages down.' Osment also railed against rising prices in the local area, noting that her grandchildren are unable to move closer to her because wealthy buyers have driven up the cost of properties. Another local, Susan Smart, 76, added: 'I would like it to stay like that, but unfortunately, I think in this climate, people have got the money, they buy houses and do things you're only able to do if you've got the money to pay for it. 'I just hope it's in keeping with the other houses that have been done. Three properties have been knocked down over the past year.' Initially, Grammer had applied for permission to build a sizable extension onto the existing home. The process would have involved demolishing three walls of the home to make way for an addition that would be twice the size of the original structure. However, those plans were rejected by the local council, forcing Grammer to consider another option: the complete demolition of the dwelling, which regulations specify must take place on or before February 2030. Though the actor—who is also father to four other children from three past relationships—clearly has big plans for his British abode, it's understood that he is not planning to relocate to the U.K. full-time. Instead, he will head back and forth between that property and the U.S. According to multiple reports, he and Walsh purchased the cottage as a permanent base for them to be closer to her family, who live in Bristol, which is about 35 minutes away by car. Over the years, Grammer has owned multiple dwellings in the U.S., including a sprawling property in the Hamptons, which he sold in 2011, not long after marrying Walsh, and a stunning Malibu mansion that was last on the market for just under $20 million. He also once held the keys to a New York condo, which he put on the market in 2016 for $9.75 million. His luxurious property portfolio is a far cry from the humble Pompano Beach, FL, dwelling where the actor spent much of his childhood—an experience that he recently opened up about in very intimate detail in his memoir, 'Karen: A Brother Remembers.' The tome was dedicated to his sister, Karen, who was brutally murdered after moving away from the family home to Colorado Springs. Grammer revealed his grief over the death of his beloved sibling and the trauma he experienced from having to identify the 18-year-old's body, recalling the moment the police turned up on the family's doorstep in Florida to reveal that Karen had been killed. At the time of Karen's death, the actor was living at the family's Pompano Beach home. His younger sibling, whom he described as 'funny and free-spirited,' had moved away to Colorado after graduating from high school. Just months after she moved away, detectives turned up on the Grammer family's doorstep with gut-wrenching news: They had found the body of a Jane Doe whom they believed was Karen. Karen was abducted on July 1, 1976, by Freddie Lee Glenn and his accomplice, Michael Corbett, who were planning on robbing the Red Lobster restaurant where she worked. But in a heinous turn of events, they kidnapped Karen before raping her and stabbing her 42 times, nearly decapitating her in the process. 'The coroner noted that through a gaping wound in her neck, he could see all the way into Karen's lung. I had been right in saying he almost decapitated her. Freddie Glenn punched holes in my sister's body with unimaginable brutality,' Grammer described. Later in the memoir, Grammer revealed that he and Karen were extremely close as they were the only two siblings and they grew up with a single mother. Ted Danson reveals he was ‘dead wrong' in thinking Shelley Long would be ‘terrible' for ‘Cheers'

Ted Danson's predictions weren't in a good place. The actor, 77, got candid on having a history of being wrong while starring on the NBC sitcom 'Cheers' from 1982 to 1993. 'I had the reputation on 'Cheers' where if I said, suggested something, pretty much—this is not self-deprecating humor or false humility—I was dead wrong,' Danson said while on the Wednesday episode of his SiriusXM podcast with Woody Harrelson, 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name,' adding, 'And if they did the opposite, it would work brilliantly.' 'I will tell Mary [Steenburgen], I'll say, 'Turn right here,' and she'll say, 'Thank you, but I know it's left.' Yeah. I'm sorry. You were right. It was right. I love being able to have an opinion, and I don't really have that much at stake because it's wrong. I'm okay to be wrong.' NBCUniversal via Getty Images 'One of my first obvious ones was 'Cheers' casting Shelley Long. And I'm going, 'Oh, no, not Shelley Long. That'd be, that's all wrong. She'd be terrible for that,'' Danson recalled. 'And she, right out of the shoot, she became this instant, brilliant character actor doing a brilliant job. Serving the entire thing perfectly. It sounds like I'm discounting all the other actors, but that first year she put us on the map. Yeah, she really did.' Long, 75, portrayed Diane Chambers in the sitcom and earned five Emmy nominations. She took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1983. Long also won two Golden Globe Awards for her role. I say it as a form of compliment, 'cause my God, she is astounding.' At the 2024 Emmys, the cast of 'Cheers' reunited on stage with Danson, Grammer, Perlman, Ratzenberger and Wendt. Rumors of a feud between Danson and Long surfaced for years, but the pair chalked it up to different acting styles. 'I ain't gonna say anything bad about my partner. I mean, my wife and I have terrible arguments sometimes, and they're kind of our business. Our relationship, Shelley's and mine, has included not being happy with each other and being happy with each other,' Danson told People in 1987. 8 Shelley Long. Alley had already passed away in December 2022 at 71 after a brief battle with colon cancer. His family rep confirmed the news to The Post, saying Wendt 'died peacefully in his sleep while at home' on May 20. The family has requested privacy during this time.' 8 'Cheers' cast. ©NBC/Courtesy Everett Collection Advertisement Danson shared his heartfelt sentiments after the news broke. 'I am devastated to hear that Georgie is no longer with us,' a rep for Danson shared with The Post. 'I am sending all my love to Bernadette and the children. It is going to take me a long time to get used to this. I love you, Georgie.' Perlman, 77, who played cocktail waitress Carla Tortelli on the show, also addressed Wendt's sudden death. 'George Wendt was the sweetest, kindest man I ever met. It was impossible not to like him,' she told The Post. 'As Carla, I was often standing next to him, as Norm always took the same seat at the end of the bar, which made it easy to grab him and beat the crap out of him at least once a week. I loved doing it and he loved pretending it didn't hurt. What a guy! I'll miss him more than words can say.' During the episode, Wendt reminisced on how he landed the role of Norm Peterson on the series. 'My agent called and said, 'You know, honey, they want you to do this 'Cheers,'' he said. ''Now you're not available,' because I had this other show ['Making the Grade'] at Paramount for CBS. Then they go, 'But they want you to come in anyway, and it's really small, though.' I go, 'Oh, okay.'' Advertisement 8 George Wendt, Shelley Long, Ted Danson in the NBC sitcom. Courtesy Everett Collection 'I read it,' he went on, 'and then they decided they were going to try to make it work out where I could do both shows, and then the other show got canceled.' Wendt quickly became a fan favorite, earning six Emmy nominations for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The show's creators Glen Charles, Les Charles and James Burrows shared about the comedian after his death: 'George Wendt was as lovable as the character he played on 'Cheers'. It was the perfect marriage of actor and character.' 'George was a gentleman and a gentle man. Norm was America's favorite barfly, and as the theme song said, everybody knew his name. And shouted it when he walked through the door. We were blessed to have him in our lives.'

Three Potential Steps For Registering Your Business

Entrepreneur using a laptop computer. There are a number of steps to getting your business up and running. Once you've determined what structure makes sense for your business, it is time to register your business with federal, state, and local governments to authorize it to operate. Registering your business is a fairly straightforward and low-cost process and includes the following areas. 1. Federal and State Tax IDs By registering, you receive a tax ID that will be your business's personal identification number. Not only does this replace the need to use your Social Security number, it also allows you to open a business bank account that is separate from your personal assets. 2. Name Be sure to also register your business name with the state government. If you decide to register your business name at the federal level, you'll need a trademark. Depending on your business and state, you may also want to or need to register a Doing Business As (DBA) name as well. A DBA allows you to own and operate a business that has a name other than your own. For example, if Sam Malone did not register for a DBA, he would not have been able to name his bar 'Cheers'. 3. Licenses and Permits Depending on where your business is located and your industry, you will need to apply for the right licenses and permits with the local and state governments. It is vital to keep documentation of these licenses and permits and annually check on their status. While the approach varies, states and cities generally have an agency that manages professional licenses and provides information on what is needed on their websites. Another area to consider is incorporation, which is the process of making your business a distinct legal entity. This gives you as the business owner some protection, legally separating you and your business. Incorporation is often more costly and labor-intensive than registering your business, but it can be worth the added protection. Getting your business off the ground with the right paperwork is an important first step and requires a great deal of deliberation and research. However, once you have done so, you can start focusing on marketing your business.
