Young Girl Rescued from 2-Story Building Collapse in Hadaeq El Qobba

Rana Atef On Friday, Civil Defence forces in Cairo managed to rescue an injured young girl after seven hours of searching under the debris of the latest collapsed 2-story building in Hadaeq El Qobba in Cairo. The girl was transferred to the hospital for treatment, raising the number of survivors to 14. Three fatalities have been confirmed until now. The National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center in Cairo and the Central Operations Room of the governorate had received a report regarding the collapse of the two buildings. Local authorities continue searching the site to ensure that no individuals remain trapped beneath the rubble. One of the two buildings was unoccupied. Three Dead, 14 Rescued from Rubble following Building Collapse in Cairo's Hadaeq Al Qubbah

Taarek Refaat In a tragic incident on Friday, three people lost their lives while 14 others were pulled alive from the wreckage after two buildings collapsed in Cairo's Hadaeq Al Qubbah district. Emergency rescue operations continue as authorities work tirelessly to locate any remaining survivors. According to a statement from the Cairo Governorate, civil defense teams spent more than seven hours combing through the debris to successfully rescue a young girl, who was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The buildings, one of which consisted of a ground floor and five stories, had been unoccupied, while the other had four floors. Additionally, another building was evacuated as a precautionary measure until its structural safety could be confirmed. The Cairo Governorate's National Emergency and Public Safety Network, along with the Central Operations Room, were immediately alerted to the collapse. Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber arrived on-site, accompanied by emergency services, medical teams, and security forces, to supervise the search and rescue operations. "Efforts are still underway to ensure no more individuals are trapped beneath the rubble," the governorate said in a statement. The cause of the collapse remains under investigation, though authorities are working closely with engineering teams to assess the stability of nearby buildings. As the city mourns the loss of life, emergency teams continue to search with hope, determined to find any additional survivors.
