Bust out those umbrellas, Environment Canada issues rainfall warning
A vehicle drives through water on a street during rainfall. It's time to bust those umbrellas out. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for parts of Central Ontario on Wednesday. Residents in Huntsville, Baysville, Parry Sound, Rosseau, and Killbear Park could expect to see rainfall totals of up to 60 millimetres. The heavy rain will begin Wednesday evening and continue well into Thursday morning, according to the national weather agency. The warning, issued just before 12 p.m., advises locals to prepare for potential flash flooding, and reduced visibility during periods of intense rainfall. 'Rain, at times heavy, and possible embedded thunderstorms will move into the area tonight (Wednesday),' Environment Canada stated. Motorists are asked exercise caution during the heaviest rain periods. Visibility may be reduced at times, and road conditions could deteriorate, particularly in low-lying areas.
