Teresa Giudice looks back on her famous table flip controversy in The Real Housewives

It's been over a decade, but to fans of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice's fiery season 1 table flip is still one of the most unforgettably iconic moments in the history of Bravo. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now What began as a fiery argument with cast member Danielle Staub escalated into a pop culture phenomenon—and the moment that launched Teresa into Housewife legend territory. The drama played out in RHONJ season 1's season finale, where a stressful dinner turned out-of-control. Danielle had called out the cast for gossip circulating about a tell-all book that claimed dirty chapters from her own life. "Pay attention, puh-lease!" she challenged the table, addressing them. Teresa, already hot from passive-aggressive remarks, lost it. "Prostitution whore! You were f—— engaged 19 times," Teresa notoriously exclaimed, banging her hands on the table before overturning the dinner table in anger as profanities rained down and pandemonium broke loose. Now, years after the fact, the OG Housewife is looking back at the moment with fresh eyes. On the May 12, 2025 edition of her daughter Gia Giudice's Casual Chaos podcast, Teresa spoke candidly about the days leading up to the attack—and her unexpected admiration for her former rival. "Danielle was… let me tell you, Danielle was made for it. She was TV gold. She really was. She was awesome. She just put it all out there, literally," Teresa explained. "She was fun and very easygoing, just so much fun—even though in the first place, she was like insulting me a little bit. That's what made me flip the table on her, you know?" Teresa described how Staub's sarcastic comments added up over the years. "She would just toss these little barbs at me," she said, remembering one especially sarcastic remark tossed her then-husband Joe: "Don't talk to me like you talk to your wife." Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Teresa conceded, "I take it, I take it, I take it—and then when I don't take it anymore, I blow up." Despite the two having a tumultuous relationship on-camera during the ensuing years, Teresa said that she and Danielle ultimately came to an understanding. "I ended up getting to know her, and then look, we ended up making up later on." In spite of the night's infamous place in Bravo lore, Teresa revealed the rush of adrenaline from the table flip didn't take. Discussing at BravoCon 2023 during the Housewife2Housewife: Day One Diva panel, she discussed the longer emotional resonance of her first seasons and how far she's come since. While the table flip might have set the stage for her emergence into the world, Teresa Giudice is currently more concerned with her peace, family, and transformation—showing that even the most dramatic of reality TV legends can heal outside of the turmoil.

Gia Giudice Explains Why She's Planning to Move Out of Her Family's New Jersey Home: "It's a Lot"

Gia Giudice could be leaving the nest very soon. Although she will always be a Jersey girl at heart, the Next Gen NYC cast member said she plans to leave her family's Montville home in the next several months. Why? Well, Gia explained that her increasingly busy work schedule has required frequent commutes from New Jersey to Manhattan, which she found to be 'super exhausting.' 'It's a lot. My schedule has only picked up since Next Gen NYC, which is funny, because it picked up the summer we were filming Next Gen, and no one knew that we were filming it,' she recently told Today. 'It's just my career kind of started picking up, and my brand started growing, and I am in the city at least four times a week, so it's a lot of back and forth from Jersey.' After graduating from Rutgers University in 2023, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter moved back in with her mom, Teresa Giudice, and stepdad, Luis 'Louie' Ruelas. Gia spoke about her living situation in the March 23 episode of her Casual Chaos podcast, saying she didn't 'have an urgency to move out' of her family's $3.3 million mansion. 'I mean, I have everything I need at home,' she said. 'I know people that stay home until they get married. I make my own money, I do my own thing, but I just don't see the urgency to move out.' Gia told Today she wanted to start apartment hunting sometime in August and begin the moving process in September. However, the 24-year-old said she has yet to decide where she will live. 'I have to see my Bella (her family's dog).'Related: Gia Giudice Reveals Her New Big Career Goal: "Put a Lot of Effort Into This..." Gia touched on a potential home move in a 2024 episode of her mom's podcast series, Turning the Tables. The Jersey native said she wanted to move in with her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, rather than live by herself. 'I think you should live on your own first,' Teresa told Gia. 'I do really want to move in with him, eventually,' Gia said. 'What am I going to do, mom? Live on my own? That's going to be so boring. He's literally going to be over every night anyway if I lived on my own." 'I give you my blessing if you want to move in with Christian,' Teresa responded. Gia reassured her mom she wasn't in any rush to shack up with her beau, saying, "When it happens, it happens." According to Aurora, Olivia told her older sister not to come since it was going to be "super small," and since she was already going to Olivia's other shower in Rhode Island, it wasn't a big deal if Aurora missed the smaller party. You do nothing for me,' which is, by the way, not true at all." Aurora then said that she sent her pregnant sister a screenshot of the texts in which Olivia said she wouldn't mind if Aurora missed the party. "She still hasn't talked to us. Well, she's talked to me, she still hasn't talked to Sophia," Aurora said. "It's been like three weeks. She's very pregnant and emotional. I think she's gonna get over it. 49ers Christian McCaffrey's Wife Involved In Baby Shower Squabble

Having a baby is supposed to be one of the best experiences a couple can have, but for Olivia Culpo, the wife of San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, it hasn't started all that well. Couples often choose to have a baby shower, at which the mother-to-be is showered with gifts in preparation for her child's arrival. She is usually surrounded by family. Advertisement However, Olivia wasn't for her baby shower, with her sister Aurora not attending, but she revealed on the Casual Chaos podcast, that Olivia stated she didn't have to attend due to the baby shower being a small affair, and that it required Aurora to travel. So, naturally, Aurora didn't, along with her other sister Sophia, which she revealed, then caused Olivia to be rather upset at her, despite Olivia stating she didn't have to come. '[Olivia] lost it on us, like, 'We're the worst sisters. The bar is this low. I do everything for you guys, you do nothing for me,'' Aurora said. "Which is, by the way, not true at all. She just, like, has a complex about thinking she does everything for everybody. And anyway, I just kept sending her the screenshot where she was like, 'You don't have to come.'' San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo at NFL Honors. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Aurora also detailed that she hasn't spoken to Olivia in three weeks, due to not showing up to the baby shower. So that isn't ideal. Advertisement But with a baby on the way, we imagine that the fences will be mended in time for the arrival of Christian and Olivia's little bundle of joy. Because the last thing the family wants is for a little squabble like this to break the family apart at a time when family is supposed to come together to celebrate what is a wonderful moment. Famous Culpo sisters caught in public spat over baby shower

The messy fall out of two siblings who are feuding over a baby shower has gone public after another family member aired the dirty laundry. Popular American influencer Olivia Culpo, the pregnant wife of NFL star Christian McCaffrey, is reportedly is feuding with her sister Sophia after the younger sibling failed to attend her 'baby sprinkle'. While family matters between famous siblings usually stays out of the public domain, the bickering between the pair has hit the public domain, after their older sister Aurora detailed the fall out on her podcast, Page Six reports. During a recent episode of the Casual Chaos podcast, Aurora, 36, revealed the bitter spat began when she and Sophia, 28, decided not to attend one of several baby celebrations Olivia was hosting. 'Olivia was having a huge baby shower in Rhode Island, [and] she was having a baby sprinkle in Denver the weekend of my birthday,' Aurora explained. Aurora claimed the mum-to-be told the sisters 'not to worry' about attending both, with the 32-year-old allegedly texting them: 'I know it's really out of the way. It's like a flight, it's just gonna be super small, like you're going to my other shower. Don't worry about coming to this little thing.' So Aurora said she and Sophia skipped the soiree, noting in her case she did so because she felt 'dead' while her little sister instead attended a wedding. Olivia subsequently 'lost it' after the pair were no-shows, Aurora claimed, later texting them both stating: '[You're] the worst sisters. The bar is this low. I do everything for you guys, you do nothing for me.' Aurora said '[that's] not true at all' and instead replied 'sending her the screenshot where she was like, 'You don't have to come'.' While Aurora and Olivia have since mended their rift, Sophia 'still' hasn't spoken to her 'emotional' and 'very, very pregnant' sister in 'like, three weeks,' Page Six reports. 'I think she's gonna get over it. Like, she really needs to because she's gonna have a baby soon, and then she's gonna want some help,' Aurora quipped. Olivia and Sophia's reps have yet to comment on the alleged feud. The former pageant queen is currently expecting her and McCaffrey's first child. She announced her pregnancy news in a March Instagram post, writing: 'Next chapter, motherhood.' At the time, Sophia expressed excitement over the expectant star's maternity shoot snaps, commenting: 'Counting down the days!' Aurora, responded similarly, writing: 'I'm so happy can't wait to spoil him/her forever!!!!!' The reveal came nine months after Olivia and McCaffrey, 28, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Rhode Island. At the time, the influencer copped heat for wearing a modest wedding dress, after telling Vogue she deliberately chose a full-coverage design because she 'didn't want it to exude sex in any way, shape or form'. Olivia rose to fame in 2012 when she won the Miss Universe pageant. She later went on to star in a string of reality shows, including Model Squad in 2018 and The Culpo Sisters in 2022 which followed Olivia and her family – including Sophia, Aurora and their parents.
