She explained that things got weird because the couple's mutual friends had to pick sides. The singer made the comment while recalling an awkward run-in with one of Hurd's longtime friends at a bar. She shared that they all hung out together for over a decade and that the divorce caused a change in dynamics. On Thursday, March 27, the "My Church" singer shared her soulful new single "Carry Me Through," just days after she announced her fourth studio album Dreamsicle. "The first taste of D R E A M S I C L E is here," wrote Morris on social media about the song's release. "Yeah, I know tomorrow's gon' come / Preaching to a choir of one / It's taken me a while I'll get there soon / Yeah, I got friends around / Plenty of hands held out / But I'm still the one who has to choose / To carry me through," Morris, 34, sings with a smoky lilt on "Carry Me Through." Alongside the song, Morris also shared the song's music video which features the country star on her own, intimately performing the song while looking straight into the camera as she sits on wooden chairs and digs through sand.
