Today's digital dating world is full of flaky, non-committal people. And unfortunately, what comes with that is a sea of single people dating someone they have a connection with, but keeping it a secret. If you have a hunch that your lover is purposely not posting you on their Instagram feed, not bringing you along to Aunt Debbie's birthday party, or avoiding you meeting their friends — they're most likely 'pocketing' you. While it's hurtful to be on the receiving end of this, experts say being pocketed is not always something personal against you. Advertisement Experts say there are a variety of reasons why someone might be 'pocketing' you. georgerudy – 'While pocketing can be frustrating and hurt the trust in a relationship, there are plenty of reasons why someone is pocketing,' Amanda E. White, LPC told Women's Health in an interview. 'It could be out of fear, it could be because of past relationships that didn't work out. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're not into you or that the relationship has no hope.' Advertisement As contrary as it sounds, 'Dr. Chloe' Carmichael told the outlet that sometimes, if someone is holding out on bringing the person they're dating into their world, it could be because they like them and aren't sure how best to handle their feelings. '…sometimes people really just want to tread lightly while a relationship is in a new or delicate stage,' Dr. Carmichael explains. On the other hand, you could also be dating someone who wants to be sneaky and act single so they could date around. That seems to be the case for one woman who shared her conflicting pocketing situation on Reddit to seek advice from strangers. As expected, the comment section was flooded with people pointing out the obvious to this distressed girlfriend. 'Sounds like he's hiding something, or wants to hide you,' one comment read. 'Whatever the reason for it is, it's not good. He most likely either is embarrassed or thinks he can do better,' another user chimed in. If this Reddit story hits close to home, experts suggest talking to your partner about it. 'Ask with curiosity, rather than accusation,' White says. 'Make it clear from the start that you're not judging them; you're just curious about the situation.' Use phrases like, 'This is something I noticed' or 'The story I'm telling myself is X, am I reading things right?'' added Carmichael.

Suspect barricaded in Carmichael home on Hilltop Drive
CARMICHAEL – Sacramento County deputies have surrounded a Carmichael home they say a man has barricaded in. Around 5 p.m., deputies were alerted by a homeowner that someone was seen on security cameras breaking into a home on Hilltop Drive. Deputies said it's possible that firearms are inside the home. The suspect has been located inside the home by himself and public address announcements are being made, deputies said. Evacuation of surrounding homes has started, deputies said, with some residents choosing to shelter in place. This is a developing story.

She purchased the high-end apartments on May 28, 2025, and since then, Leena has created a buzz. It is a newly constructed 40-story ultra-luxurious residential tower. With over 22,572 sq. ft. of carpet area, the apartments are worth over Rs 2.83 lakh per sq. ft. In India's residential market, this represents the highest recorded price per square foot. For the property, Tewari paid Rs. 639 crore, and after adding stamp duty and GST, she invested a total amount of Rs. 703 crore. Due to its prime seafront location, the tower's sale price has established a new benchmark for luxury apartments throughout India. The project is scheduled to be completed by 28 August 2027, with a starting price of Rs. 97.50 crore for residences. It offers high-end 6500 sq. ft. apartments, whereas, the facilities include a gym, a party hall, a Pilates room, and an indoor games area. The eco-friendly architecture, prime location, and smart home automation services make it one of the most coveted addresses in Mumbai. Leena Tewari's Net Worth According to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaire 2025 List, Leena Gandhi Tewari's net worth is estimated to be around $3.9 billion, which is more than Rs. 32,500 crore. She has not only earned recognition as the Granddaughter of USV founder Vithal Balkrishna Gandhi but also as the chairperson of the prestigious Indian pharmaceutical and biotechnology firm. Leena Tewari is not the only one who signed a great real estate deal. Banker Uday Kotak, too, sparked conversations after he bought an entire Worli sea-facing building for more than Rs. 400 crore. The deal consisted of apartments ranging at about Rs 2.90 lakh per sq. ft. In April 2025, the chairperson of Godrej Properties, Pirojsha Adi Godrej, and his cousin, Freyan Crishna Bieri, purchased four apartments worth Rs 290.59 crore parallel to Peddar Road. The apartments were part of the Carmichael project on Carmichael Road, Mumbai, sold for Rs 1.78 lakh per sq. ft. In May, reportedly, Tanya Dubash, the Executive Director and Chief Brand Officer of Godrej Industries, purchased a Rs. 226 crore-worth duplex through Shaula Real Estates, where he is also listed as a director. Covering a built-up area of 11,485 sq ft, this duplex, which spans the 30th and 31st floors, also features a 1,227 sq ft balcony and includes six parking lots. All in all, the real estate industry has been experiencing unprecedented growth with properties valued at Rs. 2 crore and above. With Leena's purchase, the country has set the highest-ever property registration. It is also true that the soaring figures are largely due to the panoramic views of the sea and the extraordinary facilities. Nonetheless, Worli is emerging as the billionaire's home where ultra-high-net-worth individuals seek luxury at its best.

Australian thriller packed with twists that has fans hooked is now streaming free in the UK
A twisty thriller dubbed "disturbing" and "gripping" by fans is finally available to stream for free in the UK. The Secrets She Keeps, starring Jessica De Gouw and Laura Carmichael, follows lonely pregnant woman Agatha (Carmichael) who meets successful online influencer Meghan (De Gouw), who also happens to be pregnant and is due to give birth around the same time. They are led down a dark and dangerous path when Agatha becomes obsessed with Meghan's seemingly perfect life and the secrets they both share. Based on the psychological thriller novel by Michael Robotham, the thriller series first aired in 2020 on 10Play in Australia before a second series hit Paramount+ two years later. For TV fans in the UK, all 12 episodes across season one and two are now available to stream for free on Channel 4 - so cancel your weekend plans and settle in.
